I just can't rave about Dr. Boehm enough!  And, no, I'm not a relative or staff member :-)  I'm in rescue work, so having a good vet is very important to me.  We just moved here recently and had heard about Dr. Boehm from someone in our Animal ACTion Network.  When my newest rescue broke a tooth, I had to scramble to find a vet so I gave Highland Animal Hospital a call.  They saw my dog right away and Dr. Boehm spent over 30 minutes with me, explaining everything very clearly.  We scheduled the surgery for that week and everyone was very compassionate and caring, understanding how attached I am to this little guy.  His surgery was more complicated than expected.  I dropped my dog off at 8:00 and they called as soon as he was done to let me know everything was fine.  I was able to pick him up at 3:00 and Dr. Boehm went over everything with me in great detail, even showing me 3 pictures he took during the extraction.  The office followed up with a phone call to make sure he was feeling well a couple of days later.  How much more could you ask of a vet and his staff? I'm so thrilled that I've found them and can't wait to have them care for my other 4 pets, too!  Oh, and I forgot to mention how reasonable their charges are!  The whole thing cost me $247.  I had told them to go ahead and do a dental cleaning, while he was out, if he needed it.  Most practices would've taken the opportunity to add on some charges but, when I picked him up, Dr. Boehm said it wasn't even necessary, hs teeth looked great.  How many times does THAT happen?  And, he stressed how important heartworm medication is and that he can suggest some generic options that would save money for me.  LOVE that!!! Dr. Boehm and staff, truly care about your animals. We've been going to them for about 7 years and feel like we are "part of the family." Their prices are reasonable and they have spent countless hours answering questions for me and going above and beyond. We even moved to another state and they still helped us by phone as we made the transition. You will only pay for what your pet truly needs and can trust that your animal is in the best of hands. This is one of the last vets that seems to really be one of the 'good guys'. We believe that he is one of the best vets out there and wish he'd let us take our kids to him :-) Read Less
