Note: Pet owners in Longmont and surrounding cities, someone is poisoning meatballs and leaving them at dog parks and where dogs/pets can find them. They are using rat killer pellets. dailycamera.com/longmont… - note this is NOT what happened to my dog, but thought this is a good place to make people aware! The care my dog received was quality. I get that it's like a real ER, so some emergencies come in that need immediate attention. 3 hours in a medical room waiting for anyone to tell me what's happening, is not how I wanted to spend my night. Staff: when I saw them, were very nice and mostly helpful. But this place clearly needs help with communication. I say this because medicine they were suppose to give me when I picked up the dog early in the morning (6am), sat behind their counter for 2 days. No courtesy call to me to let me know they had forgotten to send me with it, or even a letter reminder. It took my vet talking to me about the meds I was 'giving my dog from the clinic' to call them and realize their error. I was fully ready to take responsibly for leaving it, as I was sick and extremely sleep deprived, but it never made it to my hands. Also I have since called with questions, but get no call backs, so I have to contact them or ask someone else. Based on other reviews, it would seem this is an ongoing issue for them. This is an emergency clinic. I appreciate the work they do, and did, and it was done well, but like a real ER, expect to wait and be overcharged. Screen for tests you find unnecessary and don't be afraid to speak up about things you can't-or aren't willing- to pay for. I get that the world doesn't revolve around my family, or anyone else's, but not getting a call back within 24-48 hrs on a question is kind of ridiculous. For the record I asked my own vet and received am answer (the internet was unhelpful). As an additional note, to Wendy M. who posted a glowing review and asked why others have a problem with costs: we do not have the experience of multiple visits to emergency vets and expensive treatments for cancer and brain tumors and lung issues, and multiple pet visits. We are use to regular vet bills, usually, for one or two animals. So when someone says, we are going to keep your dog for 6 hours and it will total near $1,000, it's a bit of a shock to us laymen. On a side note, I hope your Rottie recovers well. Read Less
