I highly recommend Village Pet Clinic, Dr Orme and his staff. They are kind and gentle with our animals! They are very responsive and it is easy to get our pets into to see the doctor in a timely manner. We have been bringing our pets into Village Pet Clinic for years. I brought my dog in to see Dr. Stan for a checkup. He was not very good with her and I found him to be very unprofessional. I'm all for not being overcharged but don't undercharge at my pets expense. Would not recommend. There are much better vets in Longmont. Read Less

I was really blessed when I made an appointment with this wonderful place. I really liked the attitude and care in which my usually super anxious dog was treated! She barely smiled when Doctor examined her. Very nice and caring folks who know how to care for/treat even neurotic animals! I have two rescued cats that I got when they were around five or six. They've had really bad teeth since the beginning and each have had previous dental work. I noticed one's teeth weren't looking good at all so I brought him to this clinic hoping it was cheaper because money's been tight. Now I know why it was cheaper and I will never sacrifice my pet's well being because of money again. I dropped my cat off and left in tears because it's hard for me to leave him when he's so scared. When I came to pick him up my fears were confirmed. The vet told me the gruesome story about how when he was drilling into my cats face his jaw was twitching because he was in so much pain. If an animal is still in pain after getting anesthesia then you have not done your job correctly! He also refused to give me any pain killers or antibiotics even after discussing my concerns. I do not happily give my pets meds but after five pulled teeth and and not enough pain meds to begin with I don't want him to be in pain. My cat is very upset after bringing him home, much more than after his first dental surgery. He seemed to try to place all the guilt on me for needing the surgery in the first place. If not for me these cats would have been put down a week later at the humane society and most people I know wouldn't shell out 2000+ for their cats. They are very well taken care of and I am insulted at the implication. The vet also kept stating "he's a cat." So because he's a cat you don't care as much about his well being? I will not be returning here as the care is clearly not professional. He also claimed that my cat is deaf after clapping loudly once in the room without warning which no doubt terrified him further. I know he is not. If you need a quick checkup/vaccination this might be a good place but avoid this place at all costs for surgeries, they obviously don't know how to administer anesthesia/pain meds correctly.
