This is definitely a vet that asks that you buy extra tests that are unnecessary and then act like you're being irresponsible because you can't afford an extra 800$. My lizard had some dead skin, and they wanted to get a blood test and xrays. Now the blood test makes little sense, as they wanted to check to see if he had an infection, though he showed zero infection symtpoms. The xray however, made no sense at all. It wasn't needed, he never hurt his tail bone, or any bone in his entire life, and the neurotic end of his tail was to be removed anyway. They then charged me for the visit, anesthesia, medication (not needed, but "it's best in case he gets an infection" an extra couple hundred there), then one stitch, wrapping, and some extra things on the bill that weren't explained nor really needed to be charged (such as an extra needle if the first one broke). Most of these made sense, but then they would throw every little thing at you to squeeze more money out. The only thing they didn't charge me for was their gas to get to work. They then requested I come in for a check up and to remove the stitch. When I come in the recommended 10 days later, they charge me again, because for some reason it wasn't included. They didn't take his one stitch out, and charged me 55$ and tried to charge me another 50$ for wrapping it again. I had been wrapping it myself since he got the stitch and they wanted me to pay even more, so I declined. They then asked me to come in AGAIN, pay 55$ AGAIN, and then charge me 100$ to take the one stitch out and wrap it. Obviously I haven't gone back. The only reason I would ever come here again is if there was an emergency, as they are the closest vet to my house. I do believe they care about animals, but their main goal is to charge you for every little thing, make sure you have to come back for checkups that aren't included in the original price, and run expensive tests where they don't tell you the price beforehand unless you ask. This should have been and would have been 200$ anywhere else, but we ended up paying hundreds more. Save yourself some time, money, and headache and go somewhere else, exotic or not. Read Less
