Will be taking my business elsewhere after treatment didn't work and there was no follow up office discount. They should have at least offered the kickback the vet got when I ordered the supplements off of an outside facility he pushed. Whatever... if you don't care abiut animals and people u shouldn't be in this business. Read Less

Three times markup if you don’t want to sign up for their annual contract. Even after they try to explain it, it still feels like a used car lot. Oh yeah and they won’t take a credit card over the phone so a family member can pick the dog up, but then they type your credit card info in right in front of you. Find a better spot, we’re stuck for a year. Read Less

We had our Saint Bernard in for spaying and there staff looks as if it has been changed. I received a call regarding an additional service that was quoted at $280 while the spay service was being performed. The new dr. told me that it was going to cost $430 a huge jump. I did not plan on that big of bill. So I declined the extra service and she then became rude. Our saint was truly a saint prior to the spay. Now she barks at everyone and her stomach appears to be hacked up. The incision looks like someone did it with a worn out butter knife and is a lot more noticeable than my other female dog. I can’t wait till my contact is up and will never go back to this place. And honestly will never purchase another item from petsmart. I would look elsewhere for pet needs as I wish I wouldn’t have gotten a contact!!!! Read Less

My cat went in today for a simple teeth cleaning that was a free part of our pet plan. Now, our cat is at the hospital for at least two days from injuries received at Banfield. They require a $2200.00... Read More
My cat went in today for a simple teeth cleaning that was a free part of our pet plan. Now, our cat is at the hospital for at least two days from injuries received at Banfield. They require a $2200.00 deposit from us and it could cost up to $3500. Banfield said they would cover the cost but so far didn't even cover the deposit. We are looking into legal action. Go elsewhere if you love your pet. I wish we did. Read Less

This place is a joke. Took my brothers dog in for limping on her hind leg to see what it could be even though we were pretty sure we knew what it was. We just wanted to know what we can do to help her since it really wasn't serious. The lady at the desk was so rude and did not want to know anything about the dog other than saying how my brother did not pay the $40 for the wellness plan. I offered to pay it for her to be seen and she got all huffy puffy about it and said, "well we did have a cancellation let me go see if a vet is open" came back and said the vet refused to do it either way since their X-ray machine was broken and referred me to go to the banfield in Fort Collins or Greeley but reminded me the "oh so great" wellness plan wouldn't even cover it so basically the $40 would go down the drain. I asked if there was anything I could do in the mean time for her since I didn't know when we could get her in and she shrugged and basically said I was SOL and to pick up my dog because she doesn't think she should be walking. End of story to say we will NEVER be back to banfield and found a local vet who cares more about our dog then receiving money for their wellness plan. Read Less

This is a very good pet hospital.  The vets there seem knowledgeable.  They use the most modern, state of the art techniques to treat your pet. I love their pet plan.

I wish it was possible to give zero stars. I have never had the issue that I have had with this Banfield as with other Banfield's. Every dr. has a different plan but they all contradict themselves. I will never take another pet to this Banfield. I will continue using Fort Collins as I feel like this place is very uncaring and scam artists. If you have an older dog with health problems, go somewhere else. They have no idea what they are doing. I have never been so mad in my life. All three of my dogs have been seen at a Banfield hospital for multiple years and never in my life have I had the issues that I have had with this facility. Read Less

We have been extremely happy with all the staff at Banfield and the care they have given to our dog and cat. We have both on the wellness plan which is a great deal considering you would be paying more for vaccinations in one visit than the cost of the plan for a year. This is the easiest way for us to pay to keep our pets healthy. All the doctors we have seen have been extremely friendly and caring. I highly recommend this clinic and the wellness plan. Read Less

Brought my dog in for some bad allergies and the vet was super helpful. Gave me tips on what I could do to help the itchiness besides allergy medicine. They also supplied me with some antibiotic ointment and spray to help with the damage his scratching did to his underarms, eyes, and ears, which cleared up within a week! I have also been giving him fish oil with his dinner at night and his scratching has almost completely stopped. I'm glad to have such a great vet close by! Read Less

Banfield uses guilt to try to upsell. They overcharge for their services, then show a huge discount. If you have a billing problem, they will bill the full contract amount even if you cant use it.... Read More

I was with them for eight years and they were unwilling to work with me, the credit card I paid with expired. They sent it to collections, closed the account and expect to be paid for the contract with no service provided.Read Less

Just lost a loyal customer! Normally, we have had pretty decent service at Banfield but this most recent visit is certainly our last. My wife took our young dog in for an appointment I made for one specific shot that was missed on a vet visit less than 3 months ago. My wife was asked about our dog's prior vaccinations and recommended the full round of boosters including rabies, distemper, bordetella, etc. More than once my wife stated that she was sure that the other shots were just done recently but the paperwork was unfortunately not with her. The technician she worked with continued to pressure my wife until she gave in with the treatment. Throughout all of this, our dog was wearing the proof of recent vaccinations in the form of a shiny new rabies tag. This, of course, was never looked at. In the end, a $60 appointment ended up being $166 after over $75 of unnecessary shots. I called as soon as she returned and was told that I would get a prompt call the following morning. I did not get the call and called a day later to speak with the service manager that agreed to credit the rabies shot but not the distemper booster claiming that her staff never got the impression that my wife had doubts that these shots were needed. She even told me that if there is a doubt, the tech should have had her get the shots another time. It's a shame, with as much as they charged us, they considered this $19 reimbursement as meeting us halfway. Read Less

Customer service was extremely rude. I took my dog out there this week to have them look at his eye. I showed up with my dog and the first thing I heard was the lady yelling at me asking me if I knew that my wellness plan was in collections?? With out even saying hello or how are you or what can we do for you. I asked them if they were even going to look at my dog? All they want is to sell the wellness plan to make you make payments on some plan. Well 4 hours later they just plucked a hair out and sent me home with eye drops. I went back three days later cause I didn't notice any change and thought he might be having a bad reaction. But when I first called back that morning they rudely yelled at me saying they were all booked up. I said what I can't drop him off again? Then the reply was well can you be out here in the next 30 minutes? So again I waited all morning. They plucked a few more hairs and told me to just increase the drops from 3 to 4. But if it continues to look bad to go see an optimoligist instead like they didn't even want to see me or my dog again. They treated me like I was a nuisance or something since my wellness plan was in collections. They didn't even want to listen to me when I returned with my dog. I don't think the vet is very experienced or know what they're talking about. Instead of just being worried about selling the wellness plan try showing a bit more compassion to someone's family member. I'll be taking my dog to another vet for a 2nd opinion if he doesn't improve. That was the absolutely worst customer service that I've ever had out there. I would not recommend them. Read Less

Will never bring my pet to this place again. They just tack on items and do not listen to what the owner has to say. My cat has a sinus flare up 1 to 2 times a year. Has always been treated with antibiotics with out any problems.  The vet stated she wasn't sick enough yet and prescribed some $40 plug in thing for next to her bed. She not only would not go to her bed but would not even go into the room. In the meantime she has gotten very sick and we are going to a new vet. I tried to return the plug-in they of course would not take it but I could bring her back in for the full cost of an office call. Never have gotten to see the same vet twice. Read Less

They have referred us to specialists when need be, (orthopedic surgery) and always given us options for treatment. Dr. Baker is remarkable and extremely caring as has been my experience with the front desk and tech staff. Maybe some people will always just be negative? Read Less

We have had pet ins through Banfield for several years and just transferred to the Loveland store. After negligence that led to just a bunch of wasted time we were willing to give them another chance. The next time we went in the nurse refused to tell us how to treat our pet with meds we purchased online and told me they were "no good" and pushed me several times to purchase meds, a different food AND a supplement from them. All the while telling me that SHE was just looking out for my dogs best interests. When I said no she got huffy and brought my dog out carrying him only by his front and not supporting his back end. This is severely distressing as I had made it perfectly clear that my dog had back problems. We will not be going back to Banfield anymore, they were abusive with my dog and just after more money and NOT looking out for my dogs best interests!Read Less

I wish it was possible to give zero stars. I have never had the issue that I have had with this Banfield as with other Banfield's. Every dr. has a different plan but they all contradict themselves. I will never take another pet to this Banfield. I will continue using Fort Collins as I feel like this place is very uncaring and scam artists. If you have an older dog with health problems, go somewhere else. They have no idea what they are doing. I have never been so mad in my life. We have been extremely happy with all the staff at Banfield and the care they have given to our dog and cat. We have both on the wellness plan which is a great deal considering you would be paying more for vaccinations in one visit than the cost of the plan for a year. Brought my dog in for some bad allergies and the vet was super helpful. Gave me tips on what I could do to help the itchiness besides allergy medicine. Just lost a loyal customer! Normally, we have had pretty decent service at Banfield but this most recent visit is certainly our last. My wife took our young dog in for an appointment I made for one specific shot that was missed on a vet visit less than 3 months ago. Customer service was extremely rude. I took my dog out there this week to have them look at his eye. I showed up with my dog and the first thing I heard was the lady yelling at me asking me if I knew that my wellness plan was in collections?? We have had pet ins through Banfield for several years and just transferred to the Loveland store. After negligence that led to just a bunch of wasted time we were willing to give them another chance. The next time we went in the nurse refused to tell us how to treat our pet with meds we purchased online and told me they were "no good" and pushed me several times to purchase meds, a different food AND a supplement from them. All the while telling me that SHE was just looking out for my dogs best interests. When I said no she got huffy and brought my dog out carrying him only by his front and not supporting his back end. This is severely distressing as I had made it perfectly clear that my dog had back problems. We will not be going back to Banfield anymore, they were abusive with my dog and just after more money and NOT looking out for my dogs best interests!Read Less
