Dr. Thomas is just terrific. We have three 15 yr. old kitties. Recently "Tubber" had a UTI and some other elder health issues. Dr. T's diagnosis and treatment appears to have been spot on and Tubber was quick to recover. Since, in Tubber's case the issue does reoccur Dr. T has been great about working with us for continued care of the condition. Her assistant Katie is also great. Loved this vet until our cat went in for a dental procedure. After I told the vet our cat is stressed out. The vet held our cat with one hand for too long and he lashed out. Since that incident our cat is very stressed and doesn't get along with our other cat, that is his litter mate and has had zero problems with. The following day we brought up our concerns with staff and were brushed off. We have received blame and told our cat is violent. This is the second time in our cat's life that he has scratched anyone. I would expect better handling from a cat only vet. Read Less

Once I got our yowling kitcat out of the car and into see Dr. Corinne, he loved it! His favorite spot was on the blanket in the baskets! Dr. Corinne Thomas helped us with my beloved Tigger. At 23 years old, his quality of life was gone. She helped him pass with dignity and gave us plenty of time to say goodbye. Dr. Thomas is not judt the MOST amazing vet, but she is such a loving person. I take my 6 babies all the way from Milliken to see her (there's a clinic less than 5 mins away from our house) and she is always caring and attentive. Not just that her staff is superb as well! Back in 2009 I came home to find my baby Joyce getting ready to cross the Rainbow Bridge, and it was some what sudden. I of course freaked out, had no idea what to do and got Joyce into the car and took her to Dr. Thomas. It was 5:30 pm and of course no appt and didn't call. She rushed us back to help us. I was definitely not ready to let my big girl go and needed a little help coming to terms with what needed to be done. Dr. Thomas stayed with us until 10 pm until I was finally ready. She held my hand the entire time and took the best care of Joyce afterwards too; clipping hair for me and taking a paw print in a heart with her name. I still keep it with her ashes today. SENIOR DIABETIC CAT SUCCESSFULLY TREATED---- We took our cat into Dr. Thomas' clinic because our cat was losing weight and she looked like death was nearing. The tests revealed that she was in renal kidney failure. My husband and I were very emotional at the idea that we may have to put our beloved 13 year old kitty to sleep, but Dr. Thomas explained our options. She suggested that we could take our cat to another clinic that offered intravenous dialysis, which we did, even though Dr Thomas was clear that the treatment may not work. (The 3 day treatment was almost $1700- ouch.) After our cat was treated, we took her back to see Dr. Thomas for all follow ups, plus we eventually went on vacation and had our cat boarded with Dr Thomas. As part of our cat's health regiment, Dr. Thomas told us that we would have to give our cat a DAILY fluid treatment for the rest of our cat's life. As scared as we were of subjecting her to a painful life (daily fluid injection by needle), we have to report that we are VERY HAPPY we listened to all of the advice provided by Dr. Thomas. It's almost one year later and our cat has such a great life and is full of energy. (Our cat is very used to the process of getting her fluids, which only take about 5 min. We recommend this treatment if one is considering it.) Dr. Thomas directed us through the entire process of helping our cat, including calling us often to check on her status. Truthfully, that first day we took our sick cat into Dr Thomas' office, we thought it was more humane to put our kitty to sleep, but Dr. Thomas had a persuasive attitude that our cat could get through this and still live a happy life. Even though we questioned this, Dr. Thomas was so passionate about her advice that we listened and are grateful we did. My husband and I both think Dr Thomas profoundly cares about cats, posses knowledge and experience and offers realistic advice. We trust her with our cat's care and health. I took my senior cat in to make sure she was comfortable in her old age because I live hey close to them and my regular vet passed away. They ran blood work and determined she was diabetic, all other organ functions were good. They wanted me to start giving her insulin shots twice a day in hopes that they were treating the correct form of diabetes. There are 3 and they couldn't tell me what kind she had from the blood work they ran. They said it could go the other way and kill her but if they had her there and saw her going down hill they could try to reverse what they did and try treatment for a less common form of diabetes. I'm not chancing her life on it. They added medications for bladder infection and special diabetic food it was well over $300 with no definite diagnosis. They wanted to put her in intensive care and made me feel like a horrible owner for not doing this treatment that could kill her! She was dehydrated from eating the wrong food but she wasn't on deaths door like the tried to scare me into believing. I researched it a lot and changing her food to high protein to start. It seems to have done great! She's been much more active after just changing food! This was about a year ago. I love all of my animals! I've had her since she was a kitten, almost 20 years! I will not torture her with unnecessary shots the last year's of her life! Always research before letting vets do life threatening procedures! No matter how bad they try to make you feel...there are almost always alternative treatments! I've discovered this from working decades with rescues that have their own vets...that aren't racking up bills for their employers... Read Less

I have been taking my three fur babies to Dr. Thomas and her staff at For the Love of Cats for several years now and I can't tell you enough how much we love them! They are professional, friendly, attentive and caring. Dr. Thomas has always been willing to squeeze us in if I was concerned and needed one of my guys to be seen that day. They consistently call to check up on us after a visit and give advice where it's needed. I live in Fort Collins now and I will still drive 30+ minutes out of my way to go to them! While the other reviews are correct in that the doctor is very sweet woman and obviously loves cats, the doctor also does not understand that sometimes keeping a VERY sick cat alive is not the best choice for the cat. There is a fine line between extending a life and extending the pain the animal is in. I feel this doctor took advantage of us as grieving cat parents and pushed drug after drug on us while our 20 year old cat with late stage kidney disease suffered. I know she is not fully to blame. As the owners we should have known when to say "No", but it is also the job of the vet to think of the well being of the animal as well and give us that option. Something this doctor DID NOT do. We left this doctor and moved to another clinic where the new vet gave us the honest truth and our options. Our cat is no longer in pain and we are no longer paying for false hope. Read Less

I took my cat " stinky " here when i knew it was time for her to cross the " rainbow bridge " I have had to put a few cats to sleep in my adult life, but this was the first time EVER that i felt that  the Doctor felt true empathy. She kissed my kitty, loved my kitty and gave me hugs while the process was happening. I was so impressed by this woman ( the vet ) she is such a beautiful soul who may love cats even more than me! Dr. Thomas is a very conscientious & skillful vet. She only works with cats, and is knowledgeable and experienced. She and her staff are caring no matter what the issue- behavioral, physical, etc. She always tries to save us $ first by going with the minimum testing necessary, if at all.
