These people at this vet clinic are awesome. The vets are knowledgeable and great with the animals, they spend time with you answering questions and truly care. This place is a joke! We bring in our new puppy with our 1 year old dog and are given a 45 minute lecture on how to raise a puppy. All the while the ENTIRE staff is complimenting us on our 1 year old dogs temperament and behavior. Once the vet came in to check out the dogs she had a cast on one hand (I get it, injuries happen) but the initial puppy exam consisted of her petting the dog, peeking at her teeth and saying “looks good!” The exam was entirely half-assed. Upon leaving and paying WAY TOO MUCH I ask if we have to pay for another dr visit when we come back for shots for the puppy in 2 weeks. They say no just the vet tech and vaccines. I confirm this twice. Guess what?! I go back for the shots and they Won’t give the shots unless the pup is seen by the vet. Wow. I got my records and walked out. Save yourself the time, energy, money, and feeling that your pet is actually being cared for and avoid this place. Read Less

I love the people at this clinic especially Dr Jones. He is well knowledgeable and he explains everything with normal, not fancy, but normal vocabulary. He is great with my dogs and gets right down to their level (on the floor if needed) and holds and checks them while he is talking to you (me) and explains step by step what he is doing and why. I feel the comfort the moment I was in that office. Plus I love how they call a day or two later to see how your animal is doing. You definitely feel the "Caring" in the air. We just moved to Loveland and we heard this vet was great, so we took my greyhound in because she's had some weird scabs on her legs for a while and wanted to get her checked up, the vet had no idea what it was or what to do ( I knew more than her about it ). My second encounter just happened, my dogs got in a fight and one of their eye would not stop bleeding so I rushed him to the vet to make sure it wasn't too bad internally and they told me they didn't have openings til later that afternoon....THEY WOULD NOT SEE AN EMERGENCY! very disappointed....definitely will not go back! I was not impressed with the vet, can't remember what her name was, but her and the vet tech thought it was a good idea to hold my 3 month old puppy down! They choked her, she was screaming and gaging, it was awful! They were saying that they needed to do this to make her learn to hold still while at the vet! The first time the vet tech held her was when we were waiting for the vet, who was late, she was sitting on the floor playing with her and when my puppy wanted off her lap she just held on to her and would not let her go until she calmed down. Then she was getting a nail trim and the vet tech had her again, holding her down! When the vet was trimming her nails she cut her quick and didn't even know it, so that of course made my puppy scream and try to get away, this is where she was choking her! My poor puppy even deficated on herself while this was happening. I had a very bad knot in my stomach and was getting pissed by the minute. They where also telling me to do this at home, I was thinking "whatever" I was not going to do no such thing! If I could have given no star, I would have. I have never had a vet treat my dog like this. The reason why I went there was because they had good reviews, those people didn't have puppies! So if you have a young puppy that doesn't want hold still, or even an older dog, I would not recommend this vet. One more thing, the reviews I read were about a different vet, I believe his name is Matt. Maybe he is different about this. This is an update from my previous post. I have since taken my puppy to get her nails trimmed and the girl had a very hard time getting them trimmed. Those 2 jackasses ruined her for nail trims!!!! I am so pissed!! I can't see straight! She was fine before these idiots got a hold of her, please Do Not Take Your Puppy to this VET! They are the worst vet I have ever seen! The vet I took her to for her first set of shots was Arapahoe Aminal Hospital in Boulder and they are awesome!! They did her first nail trim and she was fine, did not mind it one bit. The second nail trim she got was from this idiot and her vet tech and they ruined her! I'm really sorry that I can't tell you what the name of the vet or vet tech, but they were both women, so if you stick to the male docs and vet techs you will probably be ok. I am not fond of giving bad reviews, but I thought this was one time when something needed to be said. We just moved to Loveland from Nebraska when our 12 year old Fawn Doberman was outside he pretty much ripped off his toenail bleeding everywhere.... We called Loveland Vet Clinic and they had us an appointment within 30 minutes!!! Took our boy Smokey in and within an hour was in surgery having the rest of his toenail removed!! In my opinion Loveland Vet Clinic is very quick, organized, and have a great deal of compassion for our furry babies!! Read Less

Moved away and we still use them! LVC has been our vet for our 2 dogs and 3 cats for years. We moved 45 minutes away and we love them so much, we make the drive so our fur-babies can still see them. Dr. Matt performed life-saving surgery on our 2 year-old whippet that was attacked by another dog. We wouldn't have our baby without him! They have fair pricing and we never feel pressured to do unnecessary tests. We love their expanded hours. We will continue to make the drive to get excellent care. Read Less

I use this clinic for my rescue dog and for the grooming services for both of my dogs (my other dog has insurance through another clinic). I can't say enough good things about the staff, Dr. Matt, and the grooming services. My rescue pup has a lot of anxiety and Dr. Matt has been the most amazing, caring, and gentle person in making sure his visits are as easy as possible. And Shannon, the groomer, is the same way. She is so patient and kind with my babies, and also makes them look great. I have had to put three of my elderly pets to sleep over the last 5 years, and as awful of an experience as it is, Dr. Matt and the staff have made the process so much easier through their kindness and compassion. We are travelers and rely heavily on reviews of others when looking for quality, state-of-the-art pet care.  While in the Loveland area, our kitten was experiencing extreme problems in relation to a surgical procedure that had been done elsewhere.  We had contact with all four doctors at Loveland Veterinary Clinic. All of them dealt with us, and our kitten, professionally while she was in their care.  Dr. Matt Jones had said a couple times "if it were my kitten, I would...".  I value the opinion of a doctor that will care for my pet as if it were theirs.  Everyone at Loveland did an excellent job through the evaluation our kitten, her surgery and post-care.  Loveland Vet Clinic´s technology is current and comes with a high standard of care.  I highly recommend their services. I moved to Loveland in August with my three cats. So far I've had to bring in two of them due to URI. The front staff are very nice, and professional. The facility was clean. The vet techs, and vets are courteous, very good with my cats (even when one of them tried to bite and claw the vet), and explain things in easy to understand language. They've even called a couple days later to check on the cats, and see if I need to bring them back in! The only thing I wish they had was more parking, but I'm not going to fault them for that. We are so thankful for the doctors, techs, and staff at Loveland Veterinary Clinic. We are new to the area and had been with our previous vet for about 10 years. One of our dogs is 13 years old, recently diagnosed with diabetes, arthritic and has horrendous noise/storm anxiety, so she is a bit of a "high needs" patient. We have been met with nothing but kind, friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, patient people at this practice. They get down on the floor with your pet during the exam if necessary, speak in calm, reassuring tones to your pet and in terms that you can understand what is going on with your pet and what their recommendations are. Easily one of the best vet clinics in the nation. I just moved to Colorado and adopted a new dog who has severe anxiety. After adopting him I decided to get him checked up. The staff was INCREDIBLE they went above and beyond my expectations. They were so kind and patient with my dog and truly wanted to help him. We have been back seveal times since and each visit is just as great as the first one. I would recommend this clinic to anyone in the residing area of loveland or if you are willing to drive come here for the best vet experience. I will never go any where else. I am a long time Yelp user, but this is the first time I've been moved to write a review.  I am blown away by the level of care and service provided by the Loveland Veterinary Clinic.  I had just moved to Loveland from out of state, and I did not know anyone who could give me a recommendation when one of my cats starting having an ear issue.  I called the Loveland Veterinary Clinic, and even though we were not current patients, they were able to fit her in that day.  When we arrived they were kind and personable.  The doctors took time to really look at her and discuss options.  The doctor gave me an "worst case scenario"  written estimate for the procedures that we agreed upon for the following week, and I scheduled an appointment.  The following day I received a call from the office to check in to see how the patient was doing, and I thought I wish my doctor was that conscientious.Fast forward to the following week...The clinic called 2 days before to confirm the appointment, and to remind me that my cat should not eat anything after midnight since she would be going under general anesthesia.  When I arrived on the day of the appointment, the staff greeted us by name and we were seen right away.  Dr. Matt Jones reviewed with me all of the things they would be doing, and assured me that he would be in touch during the day.  Well not only was he in touch, but he called twice during the procedure to give me updates, and he let me know as soon as she had woken up from the anesthesia.  I was blown away by the level of communication and care that he took.  I arrived to pick up my little girl, and the staff again knew exactly who I was and why I was there.  The entire procedure and their findings were explained to me, and they took the time to explain the post-op directions and answer my questions.  Additionally to my surprise, the bill was far less than I was originally quoted.  The following day again I received a "check-in" call to make sure that my baby was doing well.  It was amazing to get such wonderful caring service!! I cannot express how the people at this clinic go out of their way to make me and my animals feel like family.
