I wouldn't be surprised if VCA Animal clinic is using a paid service to help bury the bad reviews. My sister in law stopped going to this VCA animal clinic due to the front office staff as well. Take notice after the recent bad review was posted a mass of new positive reviews hit this site. That's a trick companies are using now to hide bad reviews. Do a search of the negative reviews and you will see another person commenting on the same problem with the front office personnel. Don't go to VCA Animal Clinic unless you like to be treated poorly.

Nasty, rude, non-emphatic, elderly front office manager needs to be put out to pasture. The two Veterinarians are reasonable and I would have continued, if it wasn't for the unwelcoming encounters and interaction with the elderly woman and her younger clone/trainee. They are incompetent and the rudest front office staff ever (excluding the female, short haired, brunette who appears to be new and doesn't appear to have developed the nasty attitude of the other two woman up front). I have taken my dogs to this veterinary practice several times over a 5 year period. I was there four years ago, and it was such an unpleasant experience that I hadn't gone back, until this last week. I was using another animal clinic much further away and I was hoping with the take over with VCA they would have new staff. I was wrong! There she sat up front with the same unfriendly face and horrible attitude. It started off bad with her younger trainee failed to make a copy of my dogs medical records that I had brought from my other Vet from the previous night's appointment. When I returned the next morning to get blood work and refill on a prescription and a physical check up (as they required) so after 20 minutes of waiting in the exam room I was told they were "waiting to receive my medical records from my last seen Veterinarian". It made no sense as I gave them to Karen's clone June to make copies the night before. Evidently, copies were not made, inconveniencing me even further. I had told them I didn't have time to wait for them to be resent from my other Vet's office, as I had to get back to work. Instead, I offered to go back home to get my records as I only live 5 minutes away. Then when I was driving back home to get my records I was told by the nasty trainee that 'the Veterinarian's next open appointment was at 5 pm' and she "would work me in when someone didn't show for their appointment" basically telling me to sit and wait more. Which was stunning to hear as she had messed up by not making the copies of my records and then had me waiting and then punished me further by basically unscheduling my appointment when I left to go get the medical records. It didn't make sense as I already had waited 20 minutes with no sign of when we would see the Veterinarian, yet other patients were being seen and I was left waiting and waiting due to their screw up!
This office is conveniently located and would be the ideal for me, however the front office staff is just awful! Makes me wonder... if they front office staff is so bad, what happens behind the scenes where the animals can't tell anyone how badly they are treated?
As I was waiting I called Cottage Veterinarian. A very nice "Zoey" answered the phone and even though they were booked solid, I explained what I been through and that I needed to have my dog seen that day as I was leaving town and needed to get her prescription refilled, she found a way to schedule us in. It was so refreshing to see empathy exist and kindness can be found by calling the right place. I was so relieved to find a local vet with a front office staff that is pleasant and kind. Dr Spirros offered alternatives for my dog, plus their prices are much better, his dental cleaning prices can't be beat. Don't subject yourself, or your loved pet to the beastly front office staff at VCA Parker.

They have always gone above and beyond to help me out. The vets are also great. They are very compassionate and helpful.

Not sure what the previous review is all about, I am a long time client and have always had positive experiences. Sounds like the problem lies beyond the clinic. Sorry, but if someone feels they need to attack and insult people on a personal level to make a point the integrity of their argument is weak. We have seen several doctors there and they have always been kind and patient with our dog. I would recommend them to anyone.

My last visit is exactly why I don't trust vets. Came with 2 dogs with diarrhea, they tested their poop and told me they found giardia. Ended up being charged over $300 for a bunch of antibiotics. Me being a person who only takes antibiotics in a life/death situation (because of how much harm they do) I took my dogs and more fecal samples to another vet the next day to recheck their poop, and they didn't find ANYTHING. Then to another vet the day after, who then sent out their fecals to the lab. And ALL the results came back negative for giardia (and everything else). I felt scammed so I went back to this clinic to return all the medicine and get my money back, which they did, hence the extra star. Oh and the dogs were fine the day after my initial visit, turns out they chewed up some leaves of this house plant I have that I later found out be toxic to dogs. Glad I listened to my gut and didn't poison them even more with antibiotics.

My boyfriend and I recently got a puppy. We had taken him to Banfield for his 8 week shots and an exam. We both were kind of unhappy with the service we received. We took Mack to see Dr. Smith and we were so pleased. He explained everything in detail and answered every question we had.. I always have lots of questions! The vets here are wonderful. Even most of the staff is great. The woman who manages the front desk has to be the NASTIEST woman I've ever met. She has screwed up my appointments 2 out of 4 times and publicly blames me, once to the point that my own mother had to intervene. She's a cruel and bitter woman who needs a reality check and my contribution is to take my pet elsewhere. Vets should be kind, gentle, animal loving environments. I don't need to be treated like the scum of the earth and neither does my pet.

I have been bringing my dog Dixie here since I adopted her, and I have been very pleased. Today, for example, I was concerned that she might have a skin problem, so I called and immediately got a 1 o'clock appointment. The office staff, as always, was friendly and genuine. At 12:40, the tech/nurse came out to get us, and she was warm and caring and seemed to know what she was doing. The vet, Dr Wesley, came in promptly and I could see right away that he really loves the animals he works with. Granted, my dog isn't scared of the vets office at all, but they really seemed to appreciate how friendly she is. They gave her a thourough exam and reassured me with all my all my pet-parent-paranoia. At the end, they even gave her a free nail trimming! When I asked whether or not she needed a dental appointment, Dr Wesley told me her teeth looked great and she probably didn't need a dental. Since some vets would have jumped at the chance to have me pay more money, I was really impressed by his honesty! I actually was out of the office and on my way home before 1, which is when my appointment was scheduled. I highly recommend the Animal Clinic of Parker!

I have been taking my four-legged family members to Animal Clinic of Parker for over 10 years. The vets and staff are knowledgeable and friendly. During my older Boxer's recent physical, Dr. Smith was patient with the list I had for him and examined each and every "bump" I was concerned about. He applauded my efforts in resisting the "More cookies, Mom" stare and was pleased by Frankee's slimmer physique. I recommend the Clinic to all my friends.

One of the worst experiences I've ever had with a vet in the 15 years I've owned my own dogs. I took my dog in for removal of a growth. I ended up having to take my dog back three ADDITIONAL times to get all of the stitches out. They kept missing one here or there. I'd get my dog home and calm and go to check the incision site and I'd find another stitch and have to go back. Seriously, don't they keep track of how many stitches they put in! I found another vet to the level of animal care to which I'm accustom. I only wish I had found my new vet sooner and never considered this vet!

Nasty, rude, non-emphatic, elderly front office manager needs to be put out to pasture. The two Veterinarians are reasonable and I would have continued, if it wasn't for the unwelcoming encounters and interaction with the elderly woman and her younger clone/trainee. I have been bringing my dog Dixie here since I adopted her, and I have been very pleased. Today, for example, I was concerned that she might have a skin problem, so I called and immediately got a 1 o'clock appointment. The office staff, as always, was friendly and genuine. At 12:40, the tech/nurse came out to get us, and she was warm and caring and seemed to know what she was doing. The vet, Dr Wesley, came in promptly and I could see right away that he really loves the animals he works with. Granted, my dog isn't scared of the vets office at all, but they really seemed to appreciate how friendly she is. During my older Boxer's recent physical, Dr. Smith was patient with the list I had for him and examined each and every "bump" I was concerned about. He applauded my efforts in resisting the "More cookies, Mom" stare and was pleased by Frankee's slimmer physique. I recommend the Clinic to all my friends.

Completely missed a major issue with our new cat. We pointed out the obvious issues including some complicated dental issues. told us to keep n eye on it. After rounds of antibiotics and suggestions of more meds we went to Franktown and solved the problem in one visit. Make sure you double check their work!

One of the worst experiences I've ever had with a vet in the 15 years I've owned my own dogs. I took my dog in for removal of a growth. I ended up having to take my dog back three ADDITIONAL times to get all of the stitches out. They kept missing one here or there. I'd get my dog home and calm and go to check the incision site and I'd find another stitch and have to go back. Seriously, don't they keep track of how many stitches they put in! I found another vet to the level of animal care to which I'm accustom. I only wish I had found my new vet sooner and never considered this vet!
