I do not review many things but I thought now would be a great time to post. I love everything about PCAC. The front desk people are true animal lovers and you can tell from the moment you walk in. They know who is next on the schedule so they greet your pet by name. The actual doctors are so caring I am honored to have them take care of my pets whether it be something small like an exam or diagnosing whatever my kitten has gotten into. They always tell you all the options, are willing to give pricing prior to any action being done and they make sure they give you the information you need to make an informed decision on your animal's care. Yes sometimes things may be expensive but our pets are family and paying for them is the same as paying for a child. On top of the amazing work the doctors do on a day to day basis they also stay connected with community. Offering free photo shoots with your pet during Christmas!!! The vet is Santa!!! I love it! Taking your pet to PCAC is a great choice because you know your fur baby will always be cared for in the best way. Read Less

These people were so kind to us when Bandit, my chihuahua, hurt his back trying to jump on the bed. We called and they were able to fit us in the schedule instead of putting us in as an emergency. They understood I was on a tight budget, or no budget... that others were helping me pay. The veterinarian immediately found the problem and Bandit was put on some medications and strick bed rest. She was honest and truthful, being real with me that this will be a reoccuring problem, that he will have the rest of his life. Hes since made a full recovery, and I hope and pray he doesnt experience any problems anytime soon. I highly recommend Parker Center Animal Clinic. The staff were all very friendly and caring. My husband and I took our dog to this clinic today to see Dr. Motichka. We were there to have our dog evaluated for a possible surgery (tightrope surgery for cruciate ligament injury). I am so happy with the care and advice that was provided by Dr. Motichka. I am convinced that he had our dog's best interests at heart when he gave his recommendation. He spent a lot of time with us explaining the anatomy of a dog's knee and answering all of our questions. I feel like he is genuinely concerned with doing what is best for his patients. I would highly recommend his office based on my experience. Read Less

I have taken my cat here a couple times. Both times I felt like the vets were trying to make me pay for something without taking into consideration the age or life expectancy of my cat.My cat was almost 17 years old when I brought him into this vet's office. My cat was sick, lethargic. The vet said that it was because my cat's teeth had receeded into his gums and he had an infection. I was told that I needed to extract all of my cat's teeth and this would cost $2000, but it may cost a little more, the vet wouldn't know until they started operating.I was also told that my cat has hyperthyroidism and kidney disease. I asked the vet how long my cat would be expected to live? The vet told me my cat had a year, probably. I then asked why would I spend $2000+ to extract my cat's teeth when he only had a year to live? The vet told me that I was making the cat comfortable and giving him a better quality of life.I asked for any alternatives as I was not going to spend $2000 to get my cat's teeth extracted. The vet gave my cat an antibiotic shot. My cat is still alive, a year later, and hasn't had any issues related to his teeth. He still eats his food, albeit soft food, but also still eats crunchy treats. He has horrid breath and someday will die but at least he didn't have to be put through a horrible surgery first. We are new to the Parker area and hadn't found a new vet for our two dogs yet. Unfortunately, our shepherd injured himself playing too rough last night and we needed a vet ASAP. I can't say enough great things about PCAC. They were able to get us in today at 3pm, the staff and facility were wonderful, we felt very comfortable and assured, and they were very affordable. It felt like everyone truly cared about our furbaby and even made a note that he's not fond of the office mascots. ;) We were happy to leave with a treatment plan, options, and comfort. I highly recommend this office and am excited to get our other dog in for his checkup. I know they will make sure he's taken care of and healthy, as well. Thank you, PCAC!!! Read Less

Feline care is excellent. Our cat was diagnosed with a thyroid problem and placed on a Rx diet ( no shots nor daily pills) which stabilized the problem. When teeth needed to be removed, they stopped the procedure due to a heart murmur and sent us to a feline cardiolist Our cat has been diagnosed with a thyroid problem, a heart murmur, and periodontal problems. All were dealt with in a professional manner. My cat is now on a special prescription diet ( no daily shots or pills) and the thyroid problem has stabilized. The dental procedure was delayed a year while a feline cardiologist monitored his heart and gave the final okay for surgery. While this appears expensive, I now have my "buddy" back in good health and he plays like a kitten at 14 years old, and I am totally satisfied with their care.Read Less

They were super sweet with my Harley, Dr. Noone was awesome...they had Harley's claws trimmed, bandaged her one foot, gave her meds, updated vaccines, and we chatted about bringing our dog in soon for a general well visit...in and out in 30 minutes, but it didn't feel rushed. I have been coming here 20+ years and have just had enough! 1 - This place is constantly trying to gouge you for every penny, at every turn possible. And our dog is totally healthy. Today it was a $215 totally optional ultrasound they tried to get me with at the last minute.   2 - Each procedure is more expensive than e competition to begin with. Go ahead and shop around. Nails clipped? $25! But if you buy 10 you get one free, wow what a deal! (Sarcasm) 3 - you won't see the same vet twice. It's like a revolving door of random vets from all over the country. Go ahead, ask your vet how long they have been in Parker? 4 - they will leave your pet in a kennel all day for no reason. They have done that to me twice now, and I have had enough! I drop my dog off for an 8 am procedure and they didn't start until 4:30 pm. TWICE THEY DID THIS TO MY DOG! Why!?!? He hasn't eaten in 18 hours so they can pack more cleanings in and make more money per day. It's disgusting really that they pack so many poor animals all in at 7am just to maximize profit. Could they do less dogs per day, and focus more on fast care? Nope. They are maximizing profit at my animals expense. It angers me to think I have now gone through this 2 times in a row. It's just business as usual here, and that's sad. I am not letting this happen a 3rd time. You lost me as probably one of your oldest customers. I wish I could give zero stars to a business like this. This place is more focused on making money than dog health and its disgusting. As a relatively new dog owner I am very upset with the feeling of being pushed to buy vaccines they may or may not need as well as being up-sold. I told them 5 times during the course of our visit that one of my dogs had his 3 year rabies and did not need another one yet. It got to the point where the Vet had the needle in hand when I reminded them a 6th time and they stopped. This place to me is more focused on making money (though I can't blame a business for operating this way) than helping my dogs. A vet or doctor is not a place where you should be up-sold and pushed to pay for things they may or may not need, and force a new dog owner to make an on the spot decision and make them feel guilty if they choose not to vaccinate. My dog then had an allergic reaction (which they did NOT warn me about at all) and when I called to see if I could bring her in and asked if they would charge me (since I just spent over $500 the day before...) they were eager to give a resounding YES to the fact that they would charge me for an allergic reaction they caused and did not warn me about. I was first referred to PCAC by a former co-worker back in 2005.  A few years later that co-worker went to work at PCAC as a vet tech because she loved the team and their services so much.  Because of her, I have been bringing my dogs to PCAC for the last 10+ years.  I have 3 rescues who have spent their fair share of time at the vet for various reasons from annual check-ups, incontinence issues, stitches, eye issues, arthritis, etc.    The staff is unbelievably nice.  I watched one day as a woman from the front desk got teary after a older man left who was going home to get his wife so they could be together as they had to put their dog to sleep.  The team here generally cares about pets.  A recent co-worker of mine had to have her dog put to sleep and the Dr. came out to her car so her dog could be in a comforting place during her last moments.  My 9 1/2 year old Rottie was needing monthly injections for his arthritis.  He is so terrified of the vet, he's even afraid of the resident cat, that the vet techs would come out to the waiting room so he didn't have to be separated from me.  (The Dr. even took me in the back to view the XRays to show me where the arthritis was located.)My understanding is that PCAC does not work with 1-800-Pet-Meds because they cannot guarantee the authenticity of the drugs that are being sent.  Some discount mail order places have been known to repackage expired drugs and resell them.  I have my dog's "puppy Prozac" filled at Target so I can get the $10 - 90-day supply.Sometimes there is a wait....generally when there is an unforeseen issue with another patient.  If my dog was having an unforeseen issue I would hope that the Dr. would take the time to investigate before moving on to their next appointment.  Emergencies come up some times and although all time is precious, the next time your appointment is behind schedule maybe reflect on what is happening behind the closed door.  Is someone having to make a difficult decision that the Dr. is helping them through?  Was something discovered during the exam that was life threatening and had to be addressed?  Put yourself on the other side of the door, give your pet some love and appreciate the time you have together.  If you want a caring family of doctors to look after your pets, this is the place! Wow. I should have known to trust the reviews! I recently moved from another state and my cat had a surgery shortly before we left. She has staples in and it's time for them to be removed. Now, I'm a certified vet tech and I would normally just remove them myself, but my staple removers are packed away in storage. I called to see if I could bring her in and have them removed, it took over 4 minutes for a reply(I was put on hold for over 3 minutes) and they told me I would need an exam first before the staples are removed. I've worked at several vet offices and not a single one would ever charge for a simple(literally 10 seconds to remove 4 staples) 'procedure' like staple removal, let alone an exam, even if the procedure was done elsewhere. This place is HORRIBLE. We just moved from California and had to get both our dogs heatworm prevention. The vet tech seemed so unsure of her job. She was second guessing everything she said. The vet wasn't much better. She said Colorado is a dry state and California is a wet state (California has been in a drought for the last 8 years) She also stated that my dog probably had fleas in California and brought them to Colorado. We have been going to PCAC for 17 years. We had a lab, now passed, a now a mastiff, pug and shitzu. They are fine for everyday shots, checkups.. however, my mastiff collapsed on Wed Nov 19th -  we think he suffered a stroke or seizure. I called PCAC around 3 pm and said we would be bringing him to the clinic around 4:30 pm.Instead about asking any questions on his condition, they cold heartedly said "sorry we are completely booked today" .. I couldn't believe it. I was crying and pleading with them to see if they could squeeze him in. They put me on hold and another person comes on the phone and tells me the same thing. "Sorry you will have to take him to the emergency clinic, we are booked".  I do not like giving a small business a bad review, however, they put us under so much more stress than necessary in an already unfortunate situation. In my opinion, they do not care about your pets on a personal level, only monetary. I experienced it first hand, and after reading all the comments on yelp, I am not the only one.We called Parker Hospital Hospital Animal clinic across the street who took him in right away. He was not even a patient of theirs. They worked on him right on the lobby floor as he was under so much stress. They didnt care about his records being up to date, if he had his shots etc..which he was. They simply just helped him in an emergency on the spot. Without knowing what caused the stroke/seizure, they prescribed antibiotics and steroids to see if it would help. They knew we didn't want the expense of a MRI because of his age. Shame on PCAC for their heartless decision to pass off their patient in an emergency. Kudos to Parker Hospital Animal Clinic across the street for having compassion and saving my dogs life. Read Less

PCAC has become a heartless, profit-driven organization. We've been clients at this clinic for the last 10 years, entrusting the care of numerous animals with them.  When I took one of my dogs in to be neutered and have his stomach tacked (to prevent bloat), I picked up a dog that had been neutered and received an emergency splenectomy because they "accidentally" nicked his spleen during the procedure.  As a result, my dog's stomach did not get tacked down.  They told me I could bring him in for a subsequent surgery to have that done (which would have cost me another $800 - $1000).  When I expressed my disappointment, their response was that they weren't going to charge me for the splenectomy.  Really??  I brought my dog in to be neutered, he ended up with a splenectomy due to incompetence.  Oddly enough, I forgave them that transgression and continued to use their services.More recently, I've noticed visits at their office aren't so much about caring for your pet, but to give you sales pitches for services that aren't really needed.  I'm worried about my pet, they're worried about taking as much of my money as they can.The final straw was when my dog was diagnosed with EPI.  Basically, it's like watching your dog starve to death even though he has a healthy appetite.  There isn't a cure, but the disease can be controlled by dietary supplement...a very expensive one that has to be specially ordered.  They ordered the medication, it took several days to come in.  I found out it had arrived around 5:00pm, so I raced from work to get there before they closed at 6:00pm.  Traffic was horrible, and I got there at 6:05.  They refused to give me the medication because they had already shut the computers down.  There was no negotiating with them, e.g. give me the medicine tonight, I'll come in first thing tomorrow and pay for it.  I was in tears outside their office, and they wouldn't budge on the issue.PCAC has become a heartless, profit-driven organization. I quit going here because they did not respect my time.  I took my dog in for a simple bordetella booster one day during my lunch hour.  And then I waited, and waited some more.  I asked the front desk staff how much longer it would be and got the standard "any minute now" answer.  I didn't even need to see the doctor for this - it is administered by a tech.  So I continue to wait while 3 of the techs are up at the front desk gossiping.  20 minutes later, one of those gossiping techs came and gave my dog his booster shot.  Something that should have taken 15 minutes tops wound up taking an hour and they weren't even busy.  A place that doesn't respect my time is not worthy of my business. Hence the 3 star rating. My dog had a dental done there that ended up costing me over $1000 because they had to extract 1 tooth. ONE!!! I was originally quoted about $400. They did a fantastic job with him and were very thorough but that definitely hurt my wallet. One of my cats now needs extensive dental work done and they quoted me between $1000 to $2000. Got a cat that was cared for by this clinic, and they charged close to 800 for shots and supposed cleaning and extraction of one tooth in November. My vet was showing me how another tooth was biting into the lower gum and 4 other teeth were obviously in need of pulling by January. The cleaning never happened. When I called the Parker clinic back I was stonewalled by a receptionist that claims they will only talk to the previous owner, who is deceased. I guess pets have better heppa laws than humans in their opinion. If the vet would just talk to me and tell me if there is a compelling reason this work wasn't done, then i would be satisfied. They seem to have covering their asses down pretty well. Read Less

This place is just ok. There are a whole bunch of vets (having 4 pets I think I've seen all of them) and they are all knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly. You can nearly always get right in and the office staff is a bit slow, but friendly and helpful. The reason I only rate this clinic 3 stars is mainly that every single time I ever took a pet there the vet found something wrong that would cost me up to or well over a thousand dollars. I'm a sucker for my pets - I will totally pay that sort of money if I think it's necessary. I really need to be able to trust my vet and I just don't really trust these guys. The first animal that had a heart murmur and was suggested to be taken to a cat cardiologist I thought, "well, it's an old cat, makes sense.." But then another animal had a heart murmur, then another. At some point you start to wonder. (really, have you ever heard of a cat cardiologist? yeah, well they exist and they are expensive!) I was so worried about my dog that I took her to two other vets for a second and third opinion. Neither of them could find a heart murmur. On top of that, one of the other vets noticed my dog had a bacterial infection and I had mentioned the symptoms to the vets at PCAC multiple times and they always just blew it off. I had a similar issue with one of my elderly cats. So there were several things I was less than pleased about. The final very small issue I have with this clinic is that after several years of using them I moved and so I changed to a closer vet. They gave my new vet a lot of flack over faxing medical records. So I called myself to have them faxed and they just did not want to do it. I got a lot of excuses and was sort of interrogated about my intentions. The finally faxed over *some* of the records but not all. I think that's a little crummy. Read Less

I could have sworn I had already reviewed this place but I guess I hadn't. Well I've got a couple of cats that have been going here for a few years now, they don't end up going in very often but eh what can I say I've been in at least a few times. I do have to agree with the cost of clinic services, I'm positive you can find veterinary visits less expensive elsewhere. I, like another reviewer, felt pressured into doing an x-ray on my cat because she would meow loudly when you touched her back leg area... and of course they found nothing a couple hundred dollars later. I'm not saying the people here don't genuinely care for the well being of your animal, because I believe they truly do... but I am considering taking my animals to another clinic after taking them both in for pretty much healthy pet check ups and walking away with my pockets upwards of $600 lighter. I love it!

We moved to Parker 2 years ago from Broomfield, but never found a vet closer to home. The other weekend my cat snagged and tore a claw, which led to a lot of bleeding and exposed tissue. I called PCAC just to get advice, since we weren't actually clients, and it was a Saturday morning...they got us in within 3 hours. So happy Google pulled PCAC up first when I frantically searched for resources that morning! Read Less

Read Less
