PCAC has become a heartless, profit-driven organization. We've been clients at this clinic for the last 10 years, entrusting the care of numerous animals with them. When I took one of my dogs in to be neutered and have his stomach tacked (to prevent bloat), I picked up a dog that had been neutered and received an emergency splenectomy because they "accidentally" nicked his spleen during the procedure. As a result, my dog's stomach did not get tacked down. They told me I could bring him in for a subsequent surgery to have that done (which would have cost me another $800 - $1000). When I expressed my disappointment, their response was that they weren't going to charge me for the splenectomy. Really?? I brought my dog in to be neutered, he ended up with a splenectomy due to incompetence. Oddly enough, I forgave them that transgression and continued to use their services.More recently, I've noticed visits at their office aren't so much about caring for your pet, but to give you sales pitches for services that aren't really needed. I'm worried about my pet, they're worried about taking as much of my money as they can.The final straw was when my dog was diagnosed with EPI. Basically, it's like watching your dog starve to death even though he has a healthy appetite. There isn't a cure, but the disease can be controlled by dietary supplement...a very expensive one that has to be specially ordered. They ordered the medication, it took several days to come in. I found out it had arrived around 5:00pm, so I raced from work to get there before they closed at 6:00pm. Traffic was horrible, and I got there at 6:05. They refused to give me the medication because they had already shut the computers down. There was no negotiating with them, e.g. give me the medicine tonight, I'll come in first thing tomorrow and pay for it. I was in tears outside their office, and they wouldn't budge on the issue.PCAC has become a heartless, profit-driven organization. Read Less
