I have been coming to Mesa Vet for years and was very happy with the care of my pets until last month when I brought my dog Missy in with bad pain and shaking from chronic pancreatitis which they had been treating. I came for urgent care and mentioned to the vet I couldn't afford to have her hospitalized so instead of examining her she asked if the light had gone out of her eyes, I replied yes, but I meant because she was in pain and she said Missy and I would be better off euthanizing her which she did. I was so stunned and upset I let her do it and now I am sick and heartbroken over it.

I've used Mesa Veterinary Clinic since I got my own dog when I was 16 years old, thats 26 years and have loved it always. Now, not so much, it seems like ever since "covid" they've gone down hill big time, can't even get my animals in within a month or so just to have a nipple on my dog checked, these types of appointments wait time used to be a week or two wait. They are willing to get you in for an "urgent care" visit when it's not urgent but they want to charge you for one all the while it's not treated like one, still ended up waiting over 4 hours for "an emergency visit"
Absolutely obsurd at this point, unfortunately having to take them to other facilities and great facilities that don't seem to have this issue at all... Get it back together mesa vet! You used yo be the best!

I was in your clinic yesterday I have been a customer for many years Yesterday my adult children went in with my 2 dogs for specific reasons and they were not seen for those reasons they were given vaccinations that they already had 2 months ago the staff member got my son's face wanting to fight with him both of my kids are mentally impaired They forced them to apply for credit which they do not have and they overcharged us for a lot of unnecessary stuff that we did not need they called me 3 weeks ago the weeks ago and said I needed to bring in my dog for blood work which they never did my son had $200 he told them them up front not to go over that cost The bill came to 272 so they wanted to fight with them for $72 I find this unacceptable your staff member threatening violence against my disabled children and given them dois given them dogs shots that they already have and not seeing them for the proper visit I don't think I'm ever gonna go back to your business except to pay you the $72 that we owe you my children were clearly discriminated against by your company And I will be in touch with the humane services of services of Colorado news 5 investigates and and also an attorney You have my number on file If the owner wants to call me he can But threatening violence against my children that's deaf that staff members should be terminated No one told us your policy had changed about payments so We were unaware They were forced to apply for credit And they don't have any credit they are disabled I waited in the car because of the covid They said we had to wear mask When all other customers and employees were not wearing them Now we'll be sending a letter to the veterinarian licensing board is licensing board about this thank you

Great service!! Took my new puppy here to get shots, and didn't have to wait very long at all. And that was after missing my first appointment. The Dr, was very compassionate and knowledgeable, and answered all of the many questions I had about my puppy. Got her scheduled for her next set of shots, and will definately be back. Also like that they have an emergency service, because you never know when you might need after hours care

The doctors and staff here are amazing! They truly care about your pet as if they were their own. Our dog had a serious back issue and Dr. Tiffany was able to keep him from needing surgery by doing accupuncture on him. I wouldn't take my pup anywhere else.

lathargic, vomited and bowel problems. Turns out she was having back pain and needed her anal glands ex pressed. Was given shot and pills for pain. We were walk ins and had a wait but expected that since we didn't have an appointment. First time visit. Staff were very nice, polite and helpful. We saw Dr. Tiffany Barr. She was very good. Would return if we need a vet. I felt prices were very reasonable.

I've been bringing my dogs here for the past year and in that year, I have always ranted and raved about how awesome this clinic is. But my opinion has since changed in light of their absolute ignorance and lack of care expressed towards my dog's medical issue. All they are about is the money they are charging you because they can't fit you in for weeks. So you get charged an extra $50 for it being an "emergency", time and time again, for the same issue, even though they are aware of your pet's issue. When I broke down after 6 weeks of dealing with this lack of care for my pet's health and only care about the $$ coming in, all they offered me was to wait until next week for 2 of vets who has seen her to return to active duty or to go see a specialist in Colorado Springs. I will no longer advocate for this vet clinic (doubt it matters), but if you care about your pet and it's having an real medical issue, save your money and invest it in a different clinic that will help you with your pet's medical issue.

Fantastic doctors and super reasonable. Have an accident prone black lab that has seen them numerous times for surgeries, snake bites, etc. Well worth the drive.

We aren’t regular clients here, but last weekend we had to take our fur baby in to be put to sleep due to her FeLV. It was hands down the most difficult experience of my life, but i really have to thank Mesa Vet for treating us like one of their own, showing us so much empathy and compassion, and making something so unexpected and painful just a little easier....
We were so grateful for the love we were shown by their team, from prioritizing our visit at the last moment on a weekend, to letting us go out the side doors because we were such a mess after our loss. This afternoon we received a condolence card from their office which really meant a lot to us since this isn’t even our normal vet clinic. Most importantly, they made our cat feel as comfortable as she could in her last moments and really made sure she had as much as she needed before we had to say goodbye.
The situation sucks no matter what, but we just want to thank this office and team for treating us and our fur baby like family, and recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone.

I have never met a nice staff at a vet office. There was three gals working the front, all of whom were super friendly to my dog and 1 year old baby, who was grumpy and hungry, and probably barking louder than most of the dogs in the building. We. ame in as a walk in and were still offered service eventhough there was another 20 people ahead of us. They do get very busy so try to be there before ten! Doctor Fitzgerald made a tough situation with out loved one as practical and realistic as possible and he seemed cordial and caring in the tough news he had to deliver. This place seems like they really care about the furry family members we love and I was really filled with gratitude to have a place like this in Pueblo.

Sadly in December I had to take my 17 year old dog in to be put down and everyone at Mesa Veterinary Clinic were very caring and comforting to my fur baby and to myself. After a couple of weeks still crying and missing my lil buddy, I unexpectedly received a very thoughtful sympathy card in the mail from Mesa Veterinary Clinic with a nice heartfelt message signed by the Dr. and all the staff. Thank you to everyone in your office for showing compassion on that day and even weeks after. I know my lil buddy felt the love too.

I'm livid, worst experience ever! Would not recommend them if they were the only vet in town and my animal was on the verge of death! They weren't gentle at all with him either, they acted tho as if they were disgusted by him!

I used to take my pets to a place on prairie, but it always seemed to be about money and not about how my fur baby was... I was told about Mesa Vet and I have to say they were right, the front stsff are very caring and professional, the vet assistance were also caring and professional, but as for the the docs they are amazing,. I took my fur kid ( Milo ), and Dr James Fitzgerald was so awesome, he took the time to actually explain what could be happening with him snd when the lab work came back he explained everything, he took precautionary steps to make sure my Milo was getting the best treatment he could give him. It wasn't about if I could afford it, it was about my baby. Thank you all, you truly are the best!!!

Even the desk staff have helped me a LOT. The girls there actually allowed me to administer an injection myself, since I could not wait. They gave me all the information I needed, and then let me go. Of course it went perfectly, and I am so grateful.

They saved our poor puppy we had just gotten who had parvo, staph and worms from his previous owners, they called us almost daily with updates and notifications. He adores the staff there and we do too. And when our cat had lived out his life to the fullest and was dealing with cancer they gave him a painless easy path out and even gave us an imprint of his pawprint to remember him by. Absolutely adore that clinic!!! They need more offices everywhere.

This is a great veterinary clinic! The staff are friendly and helpful. The vets are knowledgeable and understand that it is possible to love your pets like family but still not be made of money. They work with you to determine the best course of treatment that won't bankrupt you. The wonderful vet I saw yesterday called the same afternoon to check up on my pets. I thought it was great that he -- not his staff, but actually him, the vet -- made the call. Thank you, Mesa Veterinary Clinic! We'll be loyal clients.

I was in your clinic yesterday I have been a customer for many years Yesterday my adult children went in with my 2 dogs for specific reasons and they were not seen for those reasons they were given vaccinations that they already had 2 months ago the staff member got my son's face wanting to fight with him both of my kids are mentally impaired They forced them to apply for credit which they do not have and they overcharged us for a lot of unnecessary stuff that we did not need they called me 3 weeks ago the weeks ago and said I needed to bring in my dog for blood work which they never did my son had $200 he told them them up front not to go over that cost The bill came to 272 so they wanted to fight with them for $72 I find this unacceptable your staff member threatening violence against my disabled children and given them dois given them dogs shots that they already have and not seeing them for the proper visit I don't think I'm ever gonna go back to your business except to pay you the $72 that we owe you my children were clearly discriminated against by your company And I will be in touch with the humane services of services of Colorado news 5 investigates and and also an attorney You have my number on file If the owner wants to call me he can But threatening violence against my children that's deaf that staff members should be terminated No one told us your policy had changed about payments so We were unaware They were forced to apply for credit And they don't have any credit they are disabled I waited in the car because of the covid They said we had to wear mask When all other customers and employees were not wearing them Now we'll be sending a letter to the veterinarian licensing board is licensing board about this thank you

Great service!! Took my new puppy here to get shots, and didn't have to wait very long at all. And that was after missing my first appointment. The Dr, was very compassionate and knowledgeable, and answered all of the many questions I had about my puppy. Got her scheduled for her next set of shots, and will definately be back. Also like that they have an emergency service, because you never know when you might need after hours care

We were walk ins and had a wait but expected that since we didn't have an appointment. First time visit. Staff were very nice, polite and helpful. We saw Dr. Tiffany Barr. She was very good. Would return if we need a vet. I felt prices were very reasonable.

I've been bringing my dogs here for the past year and in that year, I have always ranted and raved about how awesome this clinic is. But my opinion has since changed in light of their absolute ignorance and lack of care expressed towards my dog's medical issue. All they are about is the money they are charging you because they can't fit you in for weeks. So you get charged an extra $50 for it being an "emergency", time and time again, for the same issue, even though they are aware of your pet's issue. When I broke down after 6 weeks of dealing with this lack of care for my pet's health and only care about the $$ coming in, all they offered me was to wait until next week for 2 of vets who has seen her to return to active duty or to go see a specialist in Colorado Springs. I will no longer advocate for this vet clinic (doubt it matters), but if you care about your pet and it's having an real medical issue, save your money and invest it in a different clinic that will help you with your pet's medical issue.

Fantastic doctors and super reasonable. Have an accident prone black lab that has seen them numerous times for surgeries, snake bites, etc. Well worth the drive.

We aren’t regular clients here, but last weekend we had to take our fur baby in to be put to sleep due to her FeLV. It was hands down the most difficult experience of my life, but i really have to thank Mesa Vet for treating us like one of their own, showing us so much empathy and compassion, and making something so unexpected and painful just a little easier....
We were so grateful for the love we were shown by their team, from prioritizing our visit at the last moment on a weekend, to letting us go out the side doors because we were such a mess after our loss. This afternoon we received a condolence card from their office which really meant a lot to us since this isn’t even our normal vet clinic. Most importantly, they made our cat feel as comfortable as she could in her last moments and really made sure she had as much as she needed before we had to say goodbye.
The situation sucks no matter what, but we just want to thank this office and team for treating us and our fur baby like family, and recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone.

I have never met a nice staff at a vet office. There was three gals working the front, all of whom were super friendly to my dog and 1 year old baby, who was grumpy and hungry, and probably barking louder than most of the dogs in the building. We. ame in as a walk in and were still offered service eventhough there was another 20 people ahead of us. They do get very busy so try to be there before ten! Doctor Fitzgerald made a tough situation with out loved one as practical and realistic as possible and he seemed cordial and caring in the tough news he had to deliver. This place seems like they really care about the furry family members we love and I was really filled with gratitude to have a place like this in Pueblo.

Sadly in December I had to take my 17 year old dog in to be put down and everyone at Mesa Veterinary Clinic were very caring and comforting to my fur baby and to myself. After a couple of weeks still crying and missing my lil buddy, I unexpectedly received a very thoughtful sympathy card in the mail from Mesa Veterinary Clinic with a nice heartfelt message signed by the Dr. and all the staff. Thank you to everyone in your office for showing compassion on that day and even weeks after. I know my lil buddy felt the love too.

I'm livid, worst experience ever! Would not recommend them if they were the only vet in town and my animal was on the verge of death! They weren't gentle at all with him either, they acted tho as if they were disgusted by him!

I was told about Mesa Vet and I have to say they were right, the front stsff are very caring and professional, the vet assistance were also caring and professional, but as for the the docs they are amazing,. I took my fur kid ( Milo ), and Dr James Fitzgerald was so awesome, he took the time to actually explain what could be happening with him snd when the lab work came back he explained everything, he took precautionary steps to make sure my Milo was getting the best treatment he could give him. It wasn't about if I could afford it, it was about my baby. Thank you all, you truly are the best!!!

Even the desk staff have helped me a LOT. The girls there actually allowed me to administer an injection myself, since I could not wait. They gave me all the information I needed, and then let me go. Of course it went perfectly, and I am so grateful.

They saved our poor puppy we had just gotten who had parvo, staph and worms from his previous owners, they called us almost daily with updates and notifications. And when our cat had lived out his life to the fullest and was dealing with cancer they gave him a painless easy path out and even gave us an imprint of his pawprint to remember him by. Absolutely adore that clinic!!! They need more offices everywhere.

This is a great veterinary clinic! The staff are friendly and helpful. The vets are knowledgeable and understand that it is possible to love your pets like family but still not be made of money. They work with you to determine the best course of treatment that won't bankrupt you. The wonderful vet I saw yesterday called the same afternoon to check up on my pets. I thought it was great that he -- not his staff, but actually him, the vet -- made the call. Thank you, Mesa Veterinary Clinic! We'll be loyal clients.
