We can't say enough good things about the team here! Our dog Ella gets excited when she sees the techs because they give her lots of cookies. Of course when she comes back in the room with me after getting her blood drawn she does hide, but they can usually coax her out with more cookies. They are very knowledgeable and I can call them up at any time (during business hours) and ask for advice or what we should do. Ella is our first dog that we have adopted and we can sometimes be nervous pet parents, but the staff here are great! Ella also has anxiety (she had a traumatic first year of her life) and the vets here have always been great on giving us advice on how to manage it. Read Less

I decided to get the monthly payment package because I was advised and convinced I can get a dental and vaccination for my dog. Dropped off€ in the morning and I never got a call to pick her up. So I decided to stop€ by and was told dental would not be about to be done and vaccination were€ not able to be fine due to her blood work....... I ended up paying out of pocket for meds that didn't help and made her feel worse. They won't cancel my plan but want to send me to collections if I don't pay...... What am I paying for???? They don't want do anything to my pet??? Worst manager ever and her back up girl is so rude!!!!! Run!!!! Read Less

The level of service here is amazing. The vet takes great concern with my little Sam. She even stayed on the phone with me for a while and explained dog food nutrition. I can't tell you how much I appreciate that as I've been so confused for so long!! And what really got me about this vet office is that everyone is so nice and professional. Not just a couple people, but everyone. Even the very young vet techs are so knowledgeable and polite. These people have taken such good care of my little guy. I can't even begin to say thank you to these folks and I applaud the corporate office for the talent selection at this location. I am sold on Banfield for life. The medical staff is fair but the administration staff is incompetent.   You will have huge wait times and the medication "might" be available for you to take home, then again it "might" not!  Monthly refillable prescriptions will be just as difficult to obtain.  Because it's not stocked, there's only one key to open the cabinet and the Doc is not here with the key, or any other number of excuses. DO NOT sign up for the Optimum Wellness Plan, once you start the plan you can NEVER Leave the contract with out paying!  Even if you have documented  complaints with the corporate offices.    So I'm done, paid $150 to NEVER SEE THAT COMPANY again! I am so sad that my veterinary care here did not turn out so great. When we went in February it was during a snow storm and they told me drop off was between 7-7:30. When I got there at 7:30 no one was around and I had to wait 15 minutes until someone came to check us in. I thought maybe it was a fluke due to the storm. Then today when we came there was a huge line and many of us were told to drop off between 7-7:30. The grooming receptionist said this happens all the time and they don't know why they tell people to get there that early when they don't even show up until right before 8am. So another LONG wait. BOTH times they said my cat was violent. When we went to Banfield in Edina, MN or Eden Prairie, MN they never once had an issue with Wilson. I don't know if it's the people working or the environment, but something there truly scares him. Today I waited 5 1/2 hours and hadn't heard a thing. (It was just a comprehensive exam which shouldn't take that long. I understand they have dentals to perform, but it felt like a really like time.) She called me back after checking on his status and said that he was too scared/angry and they couldn't perform his exam today. They would have to try to again another time and give him some medication at drop up. I'm also upset because a few days ago I had a big scare with my dog getting into my Tylenol. I called them to see what to do and if I could come in. She didn't give me any advice and told me to take my dog to urgent care. Really? I can't even bring my dog in to my own vet to be looked at when you're open for 4 more hours? I'm finding a vet who can care for my pets. Because I'm simply not getting any care done here.Read Less

This vet clinic has been going downhill for a few years now.  Recently Dr Katz retired and Dr. Shelley Raines left for a boulder practice. The clinic is owned by big, impersonal corporate banfield. No one even bothered to send clients notices of change or an introduction to the new vet.  The place is overcommitted on dogs,  significantly understaffed and the wellness plans are a rip-off.  Everything is "extra" and you spend more than needed. My 90 year old father's dog recently died and they wouldn't cancel the plan 2 months into it.  There are a lot of good vets in the area - I'm taking my substantial veterinary business to small, personally owned veterinary clinicians who know you and care.  You might consider the same. My dog had minor surgery at the same time he had a teeth cleaning and did not get the proper discharge instructions for stiches removal. A thirty minute wait for a 15 second job. No apology or concern over the miscommunication or lack of follow through.  My other dog had a full day kennel for his yearly routine appointment due to lack of staff and surgical problems with another dog. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! YOUR DOG WILL BE IN BETTER HANDS ELSEWHERE!! My dog had the Banfield plan for 2 years. Major complaint starts here:Included in the plan was a 1 year comprehensive exam. Both times, I had to drop my dog off from 8am-5pm, which i thought was absurd. Never comprehended why the vet wanted my dog there for such a tremendously long time. Wasn't happy about it, but they told me they were too busy to see him for an hour straight with other dogs coming in for visits as well. Ok, whatever. Anyway, I find out later from a friend that she only drops her dog off at Banfield for an hour or two max. Anyway, my dog's last visit was horrendous! When I picked him up, he was limping and was in very poor shape. I asked why he was hurt and the vet guy told me it was from being locked in a kennel for too long. WTF, are you serious?! That is animal abuse! I was livid leaving and as my dog jumped into my car, I noticed he had dog poo all over his butt area, GROSS!! He Sh** himself cuz you idiots didn't take him on his dog break!! How do you people operate your business like that? Incompetent of taking care of my dog and you want him there for 8-9 hours?? CRAZY!! Needless to say, after this incident, I canceled my plan immediately and never will return here! I'll rather pay more for better service elsewhere!On another note, the OLD, front lady Teresa is always moody. Always unpleasant seeing her there. She's grumpy and miserable. One time I came up to the front waiting to be helped and she didn't acknowledge me cuz she was too busy texting. Wow Teresa, you need to work on your customer service skills and be more friendly. Banfield is a joke. Dr. Katz and his team are unfriendly, inexperienced, & continue to push antibiotics and other medications that are complete overkill. It's truly sad to see a money hungry veterinarian so close to such a progress and open minded part of the world. I understand we all have bills to pay but I can only imagine that the majority of those are taken care of seeing as he runs the practice. Dr. Katz uses scare tactics to push $100s worth of pills and cream. A simple google search revealed that my bulldog did not need to have his tail removed, that a little bit of witch hazel from Walgreens would do the trick. Unbelievable and truly sad.Read Less

Just because they're located in a Petsmart Store, which seems very convenient, and it being in a pet store, BUTSUCH A SCAM, they are ONLY in it for the $$!!  And, $$ is their "motivation" for everything (meaning that they "nickel and dime"), including just conversation..."...you need to make an appointment..."  Plus, they won't recommend checking other places for cost-effective purposes...I didn't know that you may purchase medications made solely for animals @Target, Walmart, Costco (*You do not need Costco membership to utilize their pharmacy @any location.  But if you do choose to get a membership (fruits, veggies, etc. is definitely cheaper), you also receive an extra discount that their members get.  I thought that any medication that your pet may need, was only available at your local Vetinarian Clinic and/or Vetinarian Animal Hospital's pharmacy, and that you do not need Costco membership to utilize their discounts @any of their pharmacies.  I also feel that whatever your Vetinarian prescribes is the only option, but visiting any other Vetinarian let's you do a trial for a few days to see how your pet may feel, before purchasing a month's supply, in my situation it was 6 month's supply of pain medication.  Then, it was a chore to get my dog to take the medication, utilizing pill pockets, peanut butter and/or several other options get tiresome because he would refuse to take and it is torture for both you and your animal (i.e., forcing the pills down with your whole hand, holding his mouth open & tossing them down his throat, etc.).  I found out from my dog's physical therapist that there are kinds that you can open the capsule, and bread, wet/dry food just soaks it up and there are different flavored pork, beef, turkey, etc. Read Less

Overall not a horrible experience, just not too impressed with the "check-up" portion. They took my dog out of the exam room to give him his vaccinations and take a look at him. When they brought him back after two minutes (literally, 2 minutes) the vet introduced herself and said everything was fine. I have been to other offices that do a full exam in front of you when you schedule a check up and actually check the dog. I feel like this was a vaccination run and my money was wasted on an exam that never happened. Gotta admit I was a little leery about taking my little Puggle D to a chain Vet but I found the staff to be wonderful. I am super protective of my pup and the folks here made me feel completely comfortable with their treatment of my main man. No judgment of my dude's being 5 pounds over optimal and very reasonable prices for vaccinations and basic care. The rate for teeth cleaning was high, but included bloodwork prior to the procedure. I'm super impressed with everyone's professionalism.  More importantly, they made me feel like they cared about me and my pup.I was worried about what I perceived as a chain vet, but I am completely sold.
