Took my dog in to be euthanized. Called prior because we were having a 3rd party to the aquamation and wanted to make sure that was not a problem. Was told it was not. The company we are using for aquamation also called and was told not problem. I arrive to check in and I got the front desk supervisor. She was rude and had no compassion for what I was dealing with. She was more worried about money and what to do with the body. She told me to calm down and that there was no reason to be angry multiple times. She required calling the company doing aquamation before she would finish checking in and did it in speaker phone. After she found out I already paid the other company she called again on speaker phone to verify what she had to charge me. Then there was a consent to sign by my roommate, the other owner, who was in the car with the dog distraught. She wanted me to go to the car and have him come into sign the consent. I told her it could wait until we were in a room and she wanted to argue that as well. When we were taken to a room she was rushing us. When we left no kind words or anything from the front staff. A person in the waiting room showed more compassion then her.
This clinics techs and doctors are great people nice and compassionate. There front desk staff are always rude and have no customer service skills. If it was not for the back office staff, I would have left.

So we took our first puppy in and had no problems, the Vet was great. I scheduled an appointment for another pet and called to cancel because of being in the hospital. No one answered so I left a detailed voicemail. They called back and I missed the call and on the voicemail it stated that they went to cancel the appointment but didn’t even have one showing for the day. Ok, weird so I call back and it goes to voice mail yet again. I call in morning to reschedule and the receptionist tried telling me that she was the one who checked the voicemails and I had not left one. I tell her I can come in and let her listen to the voicemail if she’d like and she puts me on hold then comes back and says the other receptionist remembers getting my voicemail and calling me back. However, I’m still a no call no show and charged $50. Ummm, ok have your administration call me back please because had I missed it whether accidentally or not I would have just paid the $50 and moved on because my pet still needs to be seen. So administrative who happens to be the Vets wife calls back and pretty much calls me a liar and said it’s impossible but don’t want me to come in and show her my voicemail that came from her employee regarding my voicemail about having to cancel the appointment. So I’m charged $50, pay or find another vet! Wow, why would I want to take any of my pets back to a place who took no accountability on their mistake? I would give it a zero if it let me. Horrible communication, horrible attitudes, horrible people skills.

Fantastic pet hospital awsome attention for Max. From a recommendation from another vet clinic as they was fully booked. Huron staff greeted us with smiles and it was extremely busy. We waited patiently and we was patient as it was Max we was concerned with. Max vets are wonderful and we, mum and dad are extremely happy with the whole entire pet hospital and thank u all for making our family big baby boy happy and well. And the excellent removal of his tumor. Max is 98 percent better on this Saturday December 11 2021. Will see u all soon for. Max's says thank you all and the peanut butter he likes and he likes taking his meds now with no problems thank u.

Our Boxer has been coming to Huron since she was a puppy, we never had a problem. 2 weeks ago we took her in as she was not acting right, nothing we could put a finger on, pacing, batting at her ear, in discomfort. They checked her ears and nothing was wrong, gave her missing shots and sent us home. 2 days later we took her back, she is not acting right, something is wrong. They gave us cream for the ear she kept batting at, then apologized for giving her a shot that wasn't due until Feb 2020 and charged us for that then sent us home she is fine.
We left the country for the holiday, we received a call from our son for permission for treatment at an emergency clinic. Based on her behaviors they were afraid she had a brain tumor or cancer. After a scan it was confirmed she had a tumor on her brain and was in the end stages. We began a long series of flights to get home. Hopper died as we were landing in Denver. There was likely nothing that could have stopped this. But how is it a stranger saw her behaviors and began checking the cause and Huron simply did not listen to the parent telling them over and over that something is not right. Had we known we could have at least been here to hold her thru her pain and passing rather than leaving her to dye thinking we had abandoned her. We are so very sad and disappointed.

We have been going to Huron animal hospital for 8 years. We recently had to put our cat down and they would not except my spouses card because my name wasn’t on it. Even though I have used the card multiple times before. A week later I take my lab, I am now an authorized user and go to pay and realize I don’t have my ID. I have been there multiple time, they know who I am. I had to have my spouse leave work to come pay and as that’s happening the lady next to me pays with no requirement to show ID. The office staff are rude and uncompassionate. The Dr. themselves are amazing. If you can get past the front staff being rude and having different standards for different people you should consider them. I’m more of a customer service person, if I’m there it’s likely for shots or because my animal is not well. The last thing I need is be treated rudely and have to argue about trying to pay you. I guess it would be different if it was my first visit but we have been going there 8 years! My animals will not return to Huron and we will find another, more caring front staff, even if it costs more money.

THANK YOU for making Cindy Sue's passing as easy as possible to her and me!!! And the staff signed card sent afterwards! OMG, THANK YOU to all who work there!!

one of the workers was slightly rude making it seems like I was troubling her when checking out. I get it though we all have bad days.

We just reciently brought our little angel Abilene there because it was time to say goodbye and I felt so comfortable. We were given all the time needed (before and after) to say our goodbyes. On top of the staff there being incredibly sympathetic and sweet the entire time, I know they went above and beyond to make it all easier our on baby. On top of all that, today we received a card in the mail from the whole staff signed and with a beautiful rainbow bridge poem attached. We brought Abilene there years ago because she had foxtails in her toes and Dr. Welling not only did her best with her, but continued to call us and follow up on the recovery. This hospital is AMAZING. The staff there is INCREDIBLE, and we will forever be bringing our fur-babies there. Thank you to the whole staff for helping make the whole expirence easier on our entire family.

I can not say enough good things about Huron Animal Hospital and it's staff. For years they have taken care of my dogs like they were their own. The most recent is my 8 month old female Shepherd who was just spayed yesterday. This morning they called me to check on her, just to make sure she was doing good.
The love they have for all the animals they see is very apparent with all the Doctors, Techs, and Office team members alike. I cannot thank them enough for all they do for my furry kids.

I have been bringing my cats to this place for years on the recommendation from someone who works in Animal Contol. That is a good enough reference for me!! I have always been treated well and so have my animals. The front staff have always been pleasant to me, then again my expectations are also within reason for a busy animal hospital that is dealing with walk-ins and appts + emergencies. I would recommend HAH for your animals.

I went in today with a sick puppy. After hearing her symptoms, they put me in a room to avoid getting other dogs sick. She tested positive for Parvo and the vet tech and Dr. Trifonova were very sweet to our dog, even after she got angry at them with the fecal test. They did a comprehensive exam and gave us all of our options, along with estimates. The cost of today's visit, the fluids she needed, the shots, and the outpatient care she needs is all very affordable. We are thankful for the techs and doctors at Huron. Thank you for getting Hazel on her way to a better puppyhood!

I have been here a few different times. We took two of my grandmas dog here to be put down & have also brought in my dog for check ups. Today my moms dog had a stroke & was slowly passing away, we rushed him in...informed him that he could not stand, hold his head up, had slow breathing and throwing up. They handled the situation by making us wait for two hours. We were a walk in but I feel that if you are a ANIMAL HOSPITAL, you take the EMERGENCY over an animal that needs a vaccine. When we informed them we wanted our deposit back so we could go somewhere that would help us the receptionist said "sorry the vet skipped you" HOW THE HELL DO YOU SKIP AN ANIMAL THATS DYING?!? if I wanted my dog to have a prolonged & suffering death I would of left him home. This is a horrible place and I will never be back. I hope they get their priorities straight for being a hospital.

Today Dr. Grossinger had to tell me that my beautiful dog is dying, and I believe that she was sincerely sorry to have to deliver that bad news. I've been with my dog for everything--including getting her nails clipped--which she hates. They've never been less than wonderful to both of us.Honestly, I'm surprised to see all these negative reviews. The front office has never been overly friendly, but I've never found them rude--just really busy--and pretty efficient because they are busy.

We just put our 16 year border collie Shadow down to rest today. Huron Animal Hospital has seen her since her first appointment up until now.
I've read all the reviews here, I've always thought about going somewhere else, but I have to say we have always had wonderful service.
When I called today to say we had to make the decision to put our old girl to rest, the receptionist was so understanding and said to bring her in and everything will be taken care of. We checked in, they brought us back right away, we got to spend as much time with our baby as we needed.
The doctor and nurse were great, loving, and took great care of her.
When it was finally time, we were able to spend as much time to stay with her during the injection and after to say our final goodbye. The nurse even gave us a big hug, and I noticed there was a candle lit in the lobby with a sign stating a loved one is being euthanized.
Thank you so much, so glad I didn't listen to the bad reviews.

I've been taking my cats here for years and the only bad experience I had was a misdiagnosis several years back by a veterinarian who's no longer there. For all I know the misdiagnosis was an easy error to make and it was rectified within a few days.Their prices seem to be lower than many other veterinarians and there have been several occasions where they didn't charge me at all for certain things. They have an in-house lab, so getting blood results is always fairly quick. Dr. Heller makes house calls on Wednesdays, which is really nice since it's a lot less stressful on the pet.I recently had to euthanize my 18-year old cat because his kidneys failed and the staff treated me and my cat with kindness and compassion. Dr. Welling worked to save my cat for almost three straight days and though she was very frank with me when it was obvious he wasn't going to get any better, she allowed me time to think about it and make the decision myself. I received a sympathy card signed by the staff and they took care of having my cat cremated separately so that I could keep his ashes.I wish there were more people on Yelp giving them good reviews because I honestly think they're competent and professional and I would recommend them. I know my grandma has been taking her dogs to Huron for many years for boarding and veterinary services, and she seems to be happy with the level of service she's received.

I have been taking my elderly cat to Huron Animal Hospital for a few years now. We used to visit Dr. Fryberg (who was wonderful, but no longer there) and we now see Dr. Welling. Dr. Welling is kind, compassionate and she truly cares about your pets well-being. She has always followed-up with me in a timely manner and advised me with any questions I may have about my cats health. All the vet techs Ive talked with have also been wonderful. I see a lot of complaints about the girls who work at the front desk and Ive talked to some really nice receptionists as well as some not so nice ones. But the interaction you have with the front desk staff is pretty limited to setting appoints and checking in or out. I think what really matters is the staff members that are handling your pet in the back and Ive only had great experiences with the veterinarians and the vet techs. I would definitely recommend Dr. Welling to anyone looking for an intelligent and caring veterinarian.

I wish I read the yelp reviews before going here. Firstly, the front staff was rude, and seemed pretty unprofessional. Then I heard them tell another customer that they couldn't be with their pet for a procedure, which the customer was unhappy because last time that happened their cat was injured by the staff... They argued and wanted to be with their pet, but the staff member rudely said no. Which raises concerns after reading a similar story here on yelp. I waited an hour and a half for them to see my cat. I told them I wanted them to check her teeth and told them she had been sneezing a lot for about a week, maybe more sense I just adopted her. She also had gunk in the corners of her eyes (she's only a year old). The vet barely looked at her. Called her cute, and said she was fine. Our visit was less than a minute. They didn't even take her temperature. I feel completely dismissed. I wasted so much time, and stressed my poor kitty out for no reason.

Please review their boarding policies before boarding your dog there. They allowed my friend's dog not only to escape out an open back gate, but they didn't find the dog either and claim she left a a certain time, when she was spotted BEFORE that 4 blocks away. She was found the next day by friends and family of the owner, and the clinic has yet to speak to the owner about the incident. Be very wary of boarding.

Our Boxer has been coming to Huron since she was a puppy, we never had a problem. 2 weeks ago we took her in as she was not acting right, nothing we could put a finger on, pacing, batting at her ear, in discomfort. They checked her ears and nothing was wrong, gave her missing shots and sent us home. 2 days later we took her back, she is not acting right, something is wrong. They gave us cream for the ear she kept batting at, then apologized for giving her a shot that wasn't due until Feb 2020 and charged us for that then sent us home she is fine.
We left the country for the holiday, we received a call from our son for permission for treatment at an emergency clinic. Based on her behaviors they were afraid she had a brain tumor or cancer. After a scan it was confirmed she had a tumor on her brain and was in the end stages. We began a long series of flights to get home. Hopper died as we were landing in Denver. There was likely nothing that could have stopped this. But how is it a stranger saw her behaviors and began checking the cause and Huron simply did not listen to the parent telling them over and over that something is not right. Had we known we could have at least been here to hold her thru her pain and passing rather than leaving her to dye thinking we had abandoned her. We are so very sad and disappointed.

We have been going to Huron animal hospital for 8 years. We recently had to put our cat down and they would not except my spouses card because my name wasn’t on it. Even though I have used the card multiple times before. A week later I take my lab, I am now an authorized user and go to pay and realize I don’t have my ID. I have been there multiple time, they know who I am. I had to have my spouse leave work to come pay and as that’s happening the lady next to me pays with no requirement to show ID. The office staff are rude and uncompassionate. The Dr. themselves are amazing. If you can get past the front staff being rude and having different standards for different people you should consider them. I’m more of a customer service person, if I’m there it’s likely for shots or because my animal is not well. The last thing I need is be treated rudely and have to argue about trying to pay you. I guess it would be different if it was my first visit but we have been going there 8 years! My animals will not return to Huron and we will find another, more caring front staff, even if it costs more money.

one of the workers was slightly rude making it seems like I was troubling her when checking out. I get it though we all have bad days.

We just reciently brought our little angel Abilene there because it was time to say goodbye and I felt so comfortable. We were given all the time needed (before and after) to say our goodbyes. On top of the staff there being incredibly sympathetic and sweet the entire time, I know they went above and beyond to make it all easier our on baby. On top of all that, today we received a card in the mail from the whole staff signed and with a beautiful rainbow bridge poem attached. We brought Abilene there years ago because she had foxtails in her toes and Dr. Welling not only did her best with her, but continued to call us and follow up on the recovery. This hospital is AMAZING. The staff there is INCREDIBLE, and we will forever be bringing our fur-babies there. Thank you to the whole staff for helping make the whole expirence easier on our entire family.

I can not say enough good things about Huron Animal Hospital and it's staff. For years they have taken care of my dogs like they were their own. The most recent is my 8 month old female Shepherd who was just spayed yesterday. This morning they called me to check on her, just to make sure she was doing good.
The love they have for all the animals they see is very apparent with all the Doctors, Techs, and Office team members alike. I cannot thank them enough for all they do for my furry kids.

I have been bringing my cats to this place for years on the recommendation from someone who works in Animal Contol. That is a good enough reference for me!! I have always been treated well and so have my animals. The front staff have always been pleasant to me, then again my expectations are also within reason for a busy animal hospital that is dealing with walk-ins and appts + emergencies. I would recommend HAH for your animals.

I went in today with a sick puppy. After hearing her symptoms, they put me in a room to avoid getting other dogs sick. She tested positive for Parvo and the vet tech and Dr. Trifonova were very sweet to our dog, even after she got angry at them with the fecal test. They did a comprehensive exam and gave us all of our options, along with estimates. The cost of today's visit, the fluids she needed, the shots, and the outpatient care she needs is all very affordable. We are thankful for the techs and doctors at Huron. Thank you for getting Hazel on her way to a better puppyhood!

I have been here a few different times. We took two of my grandmas dog here to be put down & have also brought in my dog for check ups. Today my moms dog had a stroke & was slowly passing away, we rushed him in...informed him that he could not stand, hold his head up, had slow breathing and throwing up. They handled the situation by making us wait for two hours. We were a walk in but I feel that if you are a ANIMAL HOSPITAL, you take the EMERGENCY over an animal that needs a vaccine. When we informed them we wanted our deposit back so we could go somewhere that would help us the receptionist said "sorry the vet skipped you" HOW THE HELL DO YOU SKIP AN ANIMAL THATS DYING?!? if I wanted my dog to have a prolonged & suffering death I would of left him home. This is a horrible place and I will never be back. I hope they get their priorities straight for being a hospital.

Today Dr. Grossinger had to tell me that my beautiful dog is dying, and I believe that she was sincerely sorry to have to deliver that bad news. I've been with my dog for everything--including getting her nails clipped--which she hates. They've never been less than wonderful to both of us.Honestly, I'm surprised to see all these negative reviews. The front office has never been overly friendly, but I've never found them rude--just really busy--and pretty efficient because they are busy.

We just put our 16 year border collie Shadow down to rest today. Huron Animal Hospital has seen her since her first appointment up until now.
I've read all the reviews here, I've always thought about going somewhere else, but I have to say we have always had wonderful service.
When I called today to say we had to make the decision to put our old girl to rest, the receptionist was so understanding and said to bring her in and everything will be taken care of. We checked in, they brought us back right away, we got to spend as much time with our baby as we needed.
The doctor and nurse were great, loving, and took great care of her.
When it was finally time, we were able to spend as much time to stay with her during the injection and after to say our final goodbye. The nurse even gave us a big hug, and I noticed there was a candle lit in the lobby with a sign stating a loved one is being euthanized.
Thank you so much, so glad I didn't listen to the bad reviews.

I've been taking my cats here for years and the only bad experience I had was a misdiagnosis several years back by a veterinarian who's no longer there. For all I know the misdiagnosis was an easy error to make and it was rectified within a few days.Their prices seem to be lower than many other veterinarians and there have been several occasions where they didn't charge me at all for certain things. They have an in-house lab, so getting blood results is always fairly quick. Dr. Heller makes house calls on Wednesdays, which is really nice since it's a lot less stressful on the pet.I recently had to euthanize my 18-year old cat because his kidneys failed and the staff treated me and my cat with kindness and compassion. Dr. Welling worked to save my cat for almost three straight days and though she was very frank with me when it was obvious he wasn't going to get any better, she allowed me time to think about it and make the decision myself. I received a sympathy card signed by the staff and they took care of having my cat cremated separately so that I could keep his ashes.I wish there were more people on Yelp giving them good reviews because I honestly think they're competent and professional and I would recommend them. I know my grandma has been taking her dogs to Huron for many years for boarding and veterinary services, and she seems to be happy with the level of service she's received.

I have been taking my elderly cat to Huron Animal Hospital for a few years now. We used to visit Dr. Fryberg (who was wonderful, but no longer there) and we now see Dr. Welling. Dr. Welling is kind, compassionate and she truly cares about your pets well-being. She has always followed-up with me in a timely manner and advised me with any questions I may have about my cats health. All the vet techs Ive talked with have also been wonderful. I see a lot of complaints about the girls who work at the front desk and Ive talked to some really nice receptionists as well as some not so nice ones. But the interaction you have with the front desk staff is pretty limited to setting appoints and checking in or out. I think what really matters is the staff members that are handling your pet in the back and Ive only had great experiences with the veterinarians and the vet techs. I would definitely recommend Dr. Welling to anyone looking for an intelligent and caring veterinarian.

I wish I read the yelp reviews before going here. Firstly, the front staff was rude, and seemed pretty unprofessional. Then I heard them tell another customer that they couldn't be with their pet for a procedure, which the customer was unhappy because last time that happened their cat was injured by the staff... They argued and wanted to be with their pet, but the staff member rudely said no. Which raises concerns after reading a similar story here on yelp. I waited an hour and a half for them to see my cat. I told them I wanted them to check her teeth and told them she had been sneezing a lot for about a week, maybe more sense I just adopted her. She also had gunk in the corners of her eyes (she's only a year old). The vet barely looked at her. Called her cute, and said she was fine. Our visit was less than a minute. They didn't even take her temperature. I feel completely dismissed. I wasted so much time, and stressed my poor kitty out for no reason.

Please review their boarding policies before boarding your dog there. They allowed my friend's dog not only to escape out an open back gate, but they didn't find the dog either and claim she left a a certain time, when she was spotted BEFORE that 4 blocks away. She was found the next day by friends and family of the owner, and the clinic has yet to speak to the owner about the incident. Be very wary of boarding.
