I am sharing my families experience with this horrible, incompetent, joke of a business due to the fact that they DESTROYED my daughters 8th birthday and could care less about their utter lack of accountability towards their ADMITTED faults. Please read the entire review, although it is long winded it was necessary to be able to show the extreme scope of this company's lack of compassion which directly contradicts their name "COMPASSION ANIMAL HOSPITAL". First, being very new residents to Woodland Park ... my family googled the local area to find a boarding kennel for the weekend of 6/24-6/26. After finding Compassion Animal Hospital on the internet, my wife phoned the business to schedule the boarding of our dog. The reason for boarding the dog was due to the fact that we were taking our daughter(s) to the Great Wolf Lodge Hotel/Waterpark for the weekend and they do not permit animals. ($333.77 for a room and waterpark tickets PAID UPFRONT ... this will be important later) zero-Compassion Animal Hospital made our reservations as we requested. Prior to the weekend that we scheduled our boarding and The Wolf Lodge our daughter became ill with what we thought was pink eye. After visiting the Urgent care we were relieved to find out that it was simply an allergy related issue and she would be fine to go in approx. a week (weekend of 7/1-7/3) We immediately called zero-Compassion Animal Hospital to re-schedule our boarding/kennel visit. We PURPOSELY called the kennel BEFORE re-scheduling with The Great Wolf Lodge in order to make sure that we were covered for boarding our dog and then we could re-schedule the HOTEL.( the hotel only allows ONE emergency reschedule and it was also going to cost us $50 more total hotel now $383.77 We were told by zero-COMPASSION Animal Hospital that we now had a reservation for the weekend of 7/1-7/3. We re-iterated with the receptionist that we had the exact same reservations except 1 WEEK later ( 7/1-7/3 instead of 6/24-6/26) My wife even went as far as to offer our phone number again and the receptionist replied " I will grab it from the previous reservation.. See you NEXT weekend". All was good ... WE THOUGHT!!!!!Fast forward to Saturday 7/1 10:15 am.... Family was busy getting ready to leave, daughter(s) EXTREMELY excited and couldn't stop smiling. My wife left to take the dog to zero-COMPASSION ANIMAL HOSPITAL for our SCHEDULED boarding 7/1-7/3 . Can you guess what happens next? THERE WAS A SIGN ON THE DOOR THAT Read "closed 7/1-7/4"!!!!!!!! My wife knocked on the door , called the phone number and NOTHING!!. WE HAD A CONFIRMED SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT TO DROP OFF OUR DOG FOR THE WEEKEND AND THEY WERE CLOSED???? WTF IS GOING ON?? After multiple calls to their phone number and multiple voicemails with no return.... WE WERE SUNK!! I phoned the Great Wolf Lodge and they apologetically re-iterated that we had already used our ONE TIME EMERGENCY RE-SCHEDULE (COMPANY POLICY) and we were now way less than 24 hrs from our checkin time. We were FORCED TO ABANDON OUR DAUGHTERS 8TH BIRTHDAY WEEKEND AND LOST RIGHT AT $400 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!! We have since phoned zero-Compassion Animal Hospital and spoke with them.. The staff has relayed to us that Dr. Cooper himself has told them that they will not compensate our family in any way, even though they have admitted to us that it was their fault for scheduling our boarding on a weekend that they were closed!!! This is the most COWARDLY, despiteful, disgusting attitude from an "established business" that I have ever been subjected to, let alone an 8 YEAR OLD LITTLE GIRL! So to re-cap my family has lost almost $400 cash (difficult for a young family who just relocated to re-coup), but more importantly an 8 year old girls birthday weekend has been ruined. 100% due to the incompetent cowardly acts of Dr.Cooper and his staff at zero-Compassion Animal Hospital in Woodland Park Colorado. Please, I implore you to seek out another kennel/veterinary/groomer... There are more locally that will bend over backwards to give you great service. And to Dr. Cooper and his staff... I feel an obligation to share this with EVERY PERSON that I possibly can including but not limited to social media ( you have no idea the power this has these days) , internet reviews ( google, yelp, yellow pages ect) , websites and chat rooms (Better Business Bureau, Consumer Affairs dept, .avma.org. , worldvet.org, hsvma.org (humane society) ect ect ) You and your horrible institution have treated our family as if they do not matter in this community.. You should be ashamed of your actions and it is my hope that not a single other patron graces your establishment.
