There are business that I recommend, and there are businesses that I evangelize for. Country Companions is worthy of evangelizing. First, Dr. Kim saved our kitten's life. Dr. Kim caught symptoms that another vet missed because she keeps thinking about the animals after she goes home. And then when the kitten was fragile after surgery, Dr. Kim and another vet took him home with them for a night each, giving us calls early in the morning and texts late at night to keep us updated. That kitten is now an active and healthy cat... we have Dr. Kim to thank for that.
And our three dogs and mini pig have benefited from expert care and true concern for the well-being of animals and the people who love those animals. A Country Companions vet came to our home to help us say good-bye to our 16yo lab and helped us nurse a rescued emaciated Great Dane back to health.
We love the office staff, the vet techs, and the vets. Best.vets.ever.

I called, left messages and emailed -nothing. I called and requested my dogs records to go elsewhere. They had nothing to say. No apology. Just shows me they aren’t really as caring as they appear.

Dr. Shannon has always been there to listen to my educated concernes and when Zinnia was "disabled" the only one who didn't give her a bad prognosis and believed nothing less than the best for her. Your team are the only ones I truly trust with my birds till a specialist is needed and adore telling people how loving, educated, and easy to work with you all are.

We took our mini pot belly pig there for tooth and hoof trimming and we just love the friendly staff especially the vets who took care of our pig. The receptionists where extremely kind. The service was really quick, and only took about half an hour, while at another vet clinic we went to, took over two hours just to trim the hoofs. Plus it's was cheap compared to that other vet clinic. I highly recommend Country companions.

Separate treatment areas, although the waiting room is mixed, something to be concerned about if your kitty is extra scared of pups. In the past they were missing some equipment, requiring a visit to Central - the large vet clinic in New Haven, that they are affiliated with (I think). I think this has been remedied, however, at least for X-Rays. Highly recommended!

Besides treating our favorite pet, she explained to us what was the symptom was and what the treatment will be. She went beyond professionalism, she treated us as family. The after treatment call was so compassionate. If you have pets, this is the ONLY place to go.

All I can say is, do NOT bring your dog or puppy here. They are very nice but NOT well educated and completely uninformative on the medications they administer to their patients.
They charged me for everything they could, even though I was returning because the medication given a day prior was causing a reaction. I just don't trust them and I would never take my dog back nor suggest their practice to anyone.

Dr Kim, vet techs and front desk ladies are great. Dr Kim actually sat on the floor to reacquaint herself with our beloved golden before her exam. In the 12 years I have been coming here I have never seen that from other vets. Though they are kind of pricey I always felt that they knew what they are doing. We took our mini pot belly pig there for tooth and hoof trimming and we just love the friendly staff especially the vets who took care of our pig. The receptionists where extremely kind. The service was really quick, and only took about half an hour, while at another vet clinic we went to, took over two hours just to trim the hoofs. Plus it's was cheap compared to that other vet clinic. I highly recommend Country companions.

Separate treatment areas, although the waiting room is mixed, something to be concerned about if your kitty is extra scared of pups. In the past they were missing some equipment, requiring a visit to Central - the large vet clinic in New Haven, that they are affiliated with (I think). I think this has been remedied, however, at least for X-Rays. Highly recommended!

I will be ever so grateful to Dr. Kim and her staff for how they treated our fur baby (and us) when she became so sick and had reached the point of going to the rainbow bridge. It was very difficult for me and they assisted and comforted us. Our Sabrina was treated as if she were their fur baby - kind, compassionate and with loving care. I treasure the paw print that they made for me. I highly recommend Dr. Kim and her staff.

Dr. Kim and Dr. Shannon are both excellent goat vets. They are knowledgeable and calm, and have dealt with everything from parasites to a 2am emergency c-section for us. I recommend them unreservedly.

After one of cows suffered a leg injury, a call went out to Country Companions, and within 2 hours a wonderful vet (Elisa) was on-site. Besides treating our favorite pet, she explained to us what was the symptom was and what the treatment will be. She went beyond professionalism, she treated us as family. The after treatment call was so compassionate. If you have pets, this is the ONLY place to go.

All I can say is, do NOT bring your dog or puppy here. They are very nice but NOT well educated and completely uninformative on the medications they administer to their patients.
They charged me for everything they could, even though I was returning because the medication given a day prior was causing a reaction. I just don't trust them and I would never take my dog back nor suggest their practice to anyone.
