I used this practice for almost 30 years, following Dr McNamara from Georgetown Vet to this location, which he eventually bought from Dr Josephs. Dr M was the vet we used, until a pet recently got into crisis again, needing an urgent visit. We saw Dr Fitch in Feb-a huge mistake. Fast forward, repeated visits for 2 months ended not only in $1500 in bills, but an emergency transfer to the Newtown animal hospital as the pet was literally in his 11th hour. Despite my repeated questioning of the care plan, why we weren't moving to the interventionary surgery that had been discussed the last 2 times this same issue occurred, Dr Fitch refused to entertain it. I saved the pet, with an additional $6400 to Newtown, which is actually a discounted fee. Had we moved to the surgery in the first place, I would have incurred no more than $1500 total OOP. DR M did reach out via phone and seemed genuinely concerned. Initially tried to pass it off as a personality conflict with Dr F, which couldn't be further from the truth. I trusted Dr Fitch, she almost killed my pet, is totally incompetent, and 3 Vets at Newtown as well as 2 at our new Vet hosptial concurr. Misdiagnosis, no need for the Rx ordered, the tests that followed, the 2 changes in specialty formulation foods. I drafted a letter to Dr McNamara, outlining what happened, explaining that not only could I never use Dr F again, we were leaving the practice after almost 30 years as 1) if Dr M wasn't available, there would be no back up but more importantly, 2) I needed a vet closer to our home, and most importantly 3) as owner and practice manager, the conduct of his employees, at the end of the day, becomes his responsibility. More and more, fees keep going up, including the time frame from Feb to April 2019, while we were still using their practice. Minimally, he should have offered at least a partial refund, due to the neglect my pet suffered. A month has passed, I never received a response. That speaks volumes. Read Less
