Cannot say enough good things about this place, mere words do not describe the attention and heartfelt lovingly care they have taken with both my fur babies. Most recently with aiding me in helping send my 22 year old Sasha Belle to Heaven I was beyond saddened by the news that it was time, Lindsey was my heavenly Angel who gave me the reassurance and empathy needed, stayed with me throughout the whole transition. In addition a month prior helped ease my anxiety of having to have my new Kitten Layla Rose be spayed naturally having rescued her at 10 days old I was nervous leaving her overnight alone there, Lindsey educational me from beginning to end on the procedure and process to assure me that my kitten would be monitored and well taken care of. Thank you from the moon and back again to all at Bethel Village Vet for helping keeping my fur kids healthy safe and happy!!! Much Love!! Read Less

My husband and I had been taking our dogs to Village Square since they were puppies. At first, they were gentle, kind, accommodating, and extremely helpful. I am sad to say their service has severely declined over the past few years. Most recently, our dog was ill and required immediate attention. They could not have been more dismissive. They told my husband they had no availability, and offered us a time days later than our dog needed. We ended up bringing her to the emergency vet clinic because they couldn't help. The emergency staff gave our dog a diagnosis and recommended follow up with our veterinarian. When we followed up, they told us to proceed with treatment prescribed by emergency staff, and that the Lyme screen recommended would not be necessary. In fact, they recommended against it, saying the test would be invasive and expensive. Fast forward six weeks. Our dog again wouldn't eat and was acting like she was in pain. We again called the Village to schedule an emergency appointment and were rebuffed once more. We decided to bring her elsewhere, they performed the Lyme screen that was initially recommended, and it was positive. By the way, the rest required a single vial of blood, took a total of fifteen minutes to run, and was not overly pricy.I am not the type to write negative reviews. But no animal should have to suffer because of the incompetence of people who are supposed to be professionals. I feel so guilty for my dog's suffering, because I trusted the individuals who were supposed to have the knowledge and experience to care for those that do not have a voice of their own. If you love your animals, do not bring them to Village Square. Read Less

For nine years, weor, rather, our golden retriever Mollywere once-a-year checkup patients at Bethel Square, needing only the annual vaccinations and the occasional tick check or hot-spot fix. However, In this past six months, as Molly aged into a 13-year-old formerly active girl beset with rapidly aggressive arthritis and a recurring liver problem, we were more frequent visitors, seeing Dawn Lasko perhaps once a month, looking for pain easement and the hope of a few more healthy, active months. Dr. Lasko's patience and kindnesswith Molly, who NEVER whimpered once in the hand of Bethel Square Staff--and especially with the in-denial memade all the difference in the world, both in caring for the pup when she needed it, and finally coming to the decision every animal owner dreads. The young vet techs who assisted in Molly's care were gentle, funny, careful with injury or pain, and very kind to the old pup and the scared pup mom. I cannot express the professionalism and the careful, respectful humanity each Bethel Vet employee showed to us, especially in these last months. I would unhesitatingly recommend the hospital itself, and Dr. Lasko and her team in particular, when a dog is healthy and only needs that once a year checkup (accompanied with explanations), and a dog nearing the end of her life, when the explanations became more difficult and the care became more focused. They were taking good care of BOTH of us, right until the end. I owe them each a debt I cannot repay. They helped me raise a happy, healthy dog and then they helped me understand when that old pup was coming to the end of her road. When I see the negative reviews, I am sadat the relationships that either weren't given time to develop or the intractable situations that maybe kept a pet owner from walking out the door with a solution. I bless Dr. Lasko and Bethel Square every single day since the Valentine's Day Molly left us, and if my husband and I are ever blesed with another four-legged critter, I'd go back to them in a heartbeat. The doctors and staff are some of the most compassionate people I have ever met. Dr. Lasko is who we see, and set appointments with her only, but I have met the other doctors just by being in the office. Dr. Lasko is great with our little dogs. She's been caring for them since we got them, and all of her advice has helped us keep them healthy. When one dog nearly lost an eye from a stranger's dog biting him, Dr. Lasko gave him the best care possible and Momo now has 2 eyes that are perfect, and she's done better than I can imagine as a doctor. The staff at the front office is helpful and organized, and polite. The tech's are all wonderful and they truly love the animals. I won't go anywhere else. Don't hesitate to bring your pets. First, let me be clear that I have a very hyperactive dog who excessively barks and likes to try to climb up on people to give them kisses. He's in training and is getting better with this but new experiences do tend to rile up these behaviors such as going to the vet! Due to the proximity of Village Square Animal Hospital to my house, I thought I would give them a try to see if I wanted to switch vets. When I went into the building, my dog started to bark. The 3 women sitting behind the receptionist dog stared at me with horror that I was bringing in a barking dog, they continued to give me dirty looks and watched as I struggled to contain my dog and to make him quiet. After a few minutes of this, one of the women asked who I was. This was strike one. Once inside the examining room a vet tech and the vet came into the room. My dog jumped on the vet tech. She reacted in total shock and horror, then creeping her way over to the other side of the room to get behind the vet for protection. Did I mention that my dog is under 40 lbs? I stared at her in disbelief. What kind of vet tech can't handle a dog jumping on her? The vet and vet tech then went on to manhandle my dog. While doing a general exam on my dog, the vet actually made my dog yelp out in pain! My dog has been seeing his old vet for 2 years without EVER yelping in pain, even for more sensitive areas of the body. Then the vet tech in her casual boredom of holding my dog during this - decided to respond to the vet's question of my dog being spayed and neutered by grabbing my dog's removed testicle area with great force. I asked her not to do that and she did comply. Once this horrible session was over (mind you I came there afraid my dog had an infection) - the vet only said this to me after the exam, "You can go to front desk now." I go the front desk and wait, and wait, and wait. I am waiting because I assume that after a vet exams my dog maybe she could tell me the result? Does my dog have an infection? Are there any other concerns after the exam? Nothing. I ask one of the 3 girls sitting behind the receptionist desk to get the vet for me so I can ask her these questions. The girl responds by reading me what it says on the receipt - which is "general examination" - this does not answer my question. She asks me to pay so I do but then I ask to see the vet. She reads me the receipt several more times. Finally, after my demanding - she gets the vet who finally answers my questions. I have never been treated more rudely and will be going back to Brookfield Animal Hospital, my old vet after this horrific experience. I suggest you do the same. Read Less

Read Less
