I have taken my dog to Companion Animal Hospital since she was a puppy. When I moved out of the area, I tried a veterinarian closer to my new home. I quickly learned that there was no place like Companion Animal Hospital. They always know how to treat my dog, and handle her with compassion. They are animal lovers to say the least, and are highly effective in their diagnosis and treatments! Read Less

Expert and caring staff and vets. Our dog was in serious pain and we had been to two other vets previously who did nothing helpful. The doc here did a very thorough examination and then explained all the options and the choices on the path forward. She answered all our questions patiently and cheerfully. Our dog was basically back to normal function in a few days after weeks of suffering. Go here even if there are vets closer to you. One tip on finding a vet: ask local dog groomers who they recommend, because they hear about the quality of all the vets in the area from their customers! Read Less

We started going to Companion back in January when our pup was only a 2 months old. The young veterinarian over there has ALWAYS been so sweet, gentle, and empathetic with our now 7mo. year old pup. So I highly recommend you go through her if you are looking to deal with anyone over there. However, my dog had to be neutered yesterday and it was going to be more of an abdominal surgery but they knew this prior going into the surgery. We were told to bring him there by 8:30 in the morning and pick him up around 5. We got a call around 2 informing us he would have to stay overnight for monitoring. Now, being a pet owner you always want what is best for your furry family member so of course we were okay with this assuming someone would be there with him "monitoring" him all night. We live 5 minutes away from the hospital so at 9:30 last night we decided to drive by. There were no cars in the lot indicating there was no one there with him or the other dogs in there. Post surgery is just as uncomfortable for animals as it is humans, the very rude receptionist told us when we called back this morning that - the real reason he was kept over night was so he could be kept quiet... lol okay so let me get this straight...caged up in the back surrounded by all the other dogs I heard barking and whimpering when I dropped him off at 8:30 in the morning the day before? I know all veterinarian are different but the pst two dogs that I have had neutered were able to come home the same day. There is nothing The veterinarian can do that the family can't, especially when the veterinarian is not even there overnight with them. Oh and get this, when we asked what we were being charged for (since the price had gone up after hearing about the overnight) they insisted that the overnight was no extra charge, but proceeded to list off THE CONE that is a damn necessity for a dog who has just had surgery. $5 for a plastic cone, but they will most likely charge us $100 extra. What a joke. For the very few months we have been going to Companion we have really never had any complaints, besides the fact that they are ridiculously priced and now charging us for a cone.........lol. We will not be coming back here, and pray to god you don't need to deal with the receptionist.Re: We have picked up our pup and he has not one but TWO incisions because the veterinarian thought she felt a testicle on his penis but turns out it was just a lymph node. This place is a joke, why would you not use an ultrasound before just cutting and making unnecessary incisions. Read Less

I took my 1 year old dog Kayden in after he was vomiting and acting lethargic. After doing X-Rays, it turned out he swallowed some stuff that he shouldn't have and needed emergency intestinal blockage surgery. Everyone at Companion Animal Hospital made me feel very calm and relaxed during this very scary experience. The surgery was a huge success and my little man was back 100% within a couple of days. I can't imagine life without my dog and appreciate everything Companion did for us. Read Less
