The first visit went smoothly, the vet noticed some excess wax in my puppy's ears but cleaned the ears for me and sent me on my way. We went to a vaccination clinic to get a round of shots and was told our puppy had a congenital condition that required surgery to fix so we made a second appointment here. The vet who saw us the second time told us that the condition was "rare" and could " not be diagnosed this young" and that a round of antibiotics would clear any rash/skin condition that was present. The vet also told us our puppy was underweight with a recommendation to "feed as much and as often as needed". We wanted a third opinion so took our puppy to another vet- the congenital condition was confirmed. Surgery was confirmed as the only option to correct it. The vet assured us that our puppy was NOT underweight and also noted that our puppy had an ear infection in both ears which was obvious by the excess wax build up (we brought the dog home from the breeder with excess wax and tried to clean the ears multiple times and we feed 3 time a day for a total of 4 cups a day before being told our dog was underweight). This establishment charges $70 for an office visit- HORRIBLE service, horrible veterinary care, horrible attention to detail. Disgusted at this facility.

I have been bringing my pets to this veterinary group since I got my very first dog about 17 years ago. The staff is always wonderful and you can tell that they have a clear love of animals. Whenever any of my animals has had an emergency, they have always been accomodating of our needs. Also, their new building is spacious and immaculate. Highly recommend Shore Haven Veterinary hospital!

Beautiful space...very well decorated and extremely clean. Staff is excellent...from the receptionists to the vet techs and the veterinarians. Highly recommend. Prices are extremely reasonable and fair...they truly care about the animals, and the environment is always friendly.
My dog has been treated for many different things at this vet, from having a teeth cleaning/teeth extracted, to treating illness and having surgery. He is also boarded here during times of travel. Always outstanding service and care. I was originally going to a different veterinarian in a completely different area and was immensely dissatisfied. Figured I try this place and I feel in love with it instantly...just truly felt right.

Really attractive office, staffed with friendly professional staff. I went to Shore Haven because my dog needs a dental procedure and I could not afford the quoted price at my usual vet. Shore Haven quoted a price less than half of theirs, and we are booked for the procedure. Now I have a dilemma, because Shore Haven is an excellent facility -- do I leave the vets I've known and loved for years? In either case, my little dog Sita will be well cared for.

Dr. Rife will switch her schedule around in order to see us right away if we're having trouble, and she stays in good contact afterward. I can't imagine a better bunny doc than her!

The staff is always pleasant and accommodating. They care about your pet and it shows. I love the way that the Tech comes in and goes over Morgans history, lets me know what she needs to have done, discusses the cost of anything that is over and above the normal and then lets me know what is or isn't necessary at this appointment in the event that finances my be a bit tight to have to pay for everything at one and then asks me if I have any questions or concerns that I would like to discuss with the Doctor. When the Doctor comes into the room, the tech that went over everything also comes into the room. Dr. Dammando is great with Morgan and he always takes the time to ask me if I have any concerns. If I said anything to the Tech he addresses it from the beginning. He actually listens to what I have to say. There is nothing phony about them. The day following the visit I actually got a call from Dr. Dammando telling me that everything was great with the blood work and that Morgan is really doing wonderfully. He said to call him if I had any questions or concerns and I would because I am very comfortable with everything there.

Lilo I has been seen at Veterinary Associates for all her vaccines and office visits since I got her in March 2016. She was spayed and micro chipped at Central Hospital where Dr.Commando called me and assured me Lilo was doing fine after surgery. The staff, Dr Dammando, are very friendly and careing people .I would recommend them to people because weather they have a reptile ,cat or dog or bird they are a lovely bunch of people.

I brought Alice, my 10-year old daughter's tiny dwarf hamster to Dr. Rife 48 hours after she was gravely attacked by our cat. She had a huge 1" open wound under her arm and wasn't doing well. We didn't think she'd make it but with a little medical glue, a dose of antibiotics and lots of love and prayers, she's back to her sweet self. Thanks so much for all your help and support Dr. Rife and team! We were absolutely delighted with your warmth, medical knowledge and compassion for our little friend. I highly recommend this vet practice!

I can not say enough WONDERFUL things about Dr. Rife & her amazing staff. East Haven Veterinary Hospital is like extended family. I have not once ever doubted the service in the 8 years that we've been going there. The staff is always friendly, curtious, professional & loving to my animals. "Sometimes you want to go Where everybody knows your name, And theyre always glad you came", these lyrics certainly speak true for this Veterinary Hospital. I travel 40min to see Dr. Rife and I would never think of going elsewhere!

We have been with East Haven Veterinary for some 20 years now. Dr Dammando is wonderful - if he ever retires I will track him down (just kidding). Dr Rife is just as wonderful. I highly recommend them. Lori and Lee always go above and beyond, and I know Shadow adores them both (it could have something to do with the treats). The doctors always try the most reasonable solution and cost effective solution. If you need a vet they are the ones you need.

I will never forget the kindness shown to me and to my beloved cat, "Chan" by Dr. Heather Rife, "Auntie Lori" and the entire staff at Veterinary Assoc. of East Haven. during Chan's illness with diabetes. She lived to the ripe old age of 17 and now plays happily at the Rainbow Bridge with her "brother" Charlie. You will be seeing me again as I plan to adopt another kitty in the near future. Dr. Dammando and Dr. Rife and all the staff of Veterinary Associates of East Haven gave the best care imaginable to our dog for seventeen years. A lifetime ago we brought a little puppy in for his first shots, and have never thought of going anywhere else ever since.
Through all this time the doctors and staff of Veterinary Associates of East Haven were always there for our little friend, and what is rare, they were just as solicitous of my wife and me.
When our dog suffered a leg injury 10 years ago, one that we thought might prevent him from walking, Dr Dammando helped the dog recover, and was very sensitive to the anxiety this caused us.
Two years ago, during Hurricane Sandy, our faithful companion started having problems that were the first signs of the heart disease that took him away from us last week.
Dr. Dammando helped us get the proper diagnosis, and assured us that with medication our dog could live for months or longer. These last two years were both difficult and also a privilege.
When the day came, and our dog told us it was time to say goodbye, Dr. Rife was at the clinic and made an appointment time for 2 hours later. The care she and Jeremiah and the rest of the staff gave us and our dog at this critical moment was exemplary.

Dr. Rife and staff have always taken the best care of my animals! The new facility is beautiful and spacious. I always recommend them to friends and family. Compassion goes a long way when times can be stressful with our furry babies. I have always encountered kindness!

The first visit went smoothly, the vet noticed some excess wax in my puppy's ears but cleaned the ears for me and sent me on my way. We went to a vaccination clinic to get a round of shots and was told our puppy had a congenital condition that required surgery to fix so we made a second appointment here. The vet who saw us the second time told us that the condition was "rare" and could " not be diagnosed this young" and that a round of antibiotics would clear any rash/skin condition that was present. The vet also told us our puppy was underweight with a recommendation to "feed as much and as often as needed". We wanted a third opinion so took our puppy to another vet- the congenital condition was confirmed. Surgery was confirmed as the only option to correct it. The vet assured us that our puppy was NOT underweight and also noted that our puppy had an ear infection in both ears which was obvious by the excess wax build up (we brought the dog home from the breeder with excess wax and tried to clean the ears multiple times and we feed 3 time a day for a total of 4 cups a day before being told our dog was underweight). This establishment charges $70 for an office visit- HORRIBLE service, horrible veterinary care, horrible attention to detail. Disgusted at this facility.

My dog has been treated for many different things at this vet, from having a teeth cleaning/teeth extracted, to treating illness and having surgery. He is also boarded here during times of travel. Always outstanding service and care. I was originally going to a different veterinarian in a completely different area and was immensely dissatisfied. Figured I try this place and I feel in love with it instantly...just truly felt right.

Really attractive office, staffed with friendly professional staff. I went to Shore Haven because my dog needs a dental procedure and I could not afford the quoted price at my usual vet. Shore Haven quoted a price less than half of theirs, and we are booked for the procedure. Now I have a dilemma, because Shore Haven is an excellent facility -- do I leave the vets I've known and loved for years? In either case, my little dog Sita will be well cared for.

The staff is always pleasant and accommodating. They care about your pet and it shows. I love the way that the Tech comes in and goes over Morgans history, lets me know what she needs to have done, discusses the cost of anything that is over and above the normal and then lets me know what is or isn't necessary at this appointment in the event that finances my be a bit tight to have to pay for everything at one and then asks me if I have any questions or concerns that I would like to discuss with the Doctor. When the Doctor comes into the room, the tech that went over everything also comes into the room. Dr. Dammando is great with Morgan and he always takes the time to ask me if I have any concerns. If I said anything to the Tech he addresses it from the beginning. He actually listens to what I have to say. There is nothing phony about them. The day following the visit I actually got a call from Dr. Dammando telling me that everything was great with the blood work and that Morgan is really doing wonderfully. He said to call him if I had any questions or concerns and I would because I am very comfortable with everything there.

Lilo I has been seen at Veterinary Associates for all her vaccines and office visits since I got her in March 2016. She was spayed and micro chipped at Central Hospital where Dr.Commando called me and assured me Lilo was doing fine after surgery. The staff, Dr Dammando, are very friendly and careing people .I would recommend them to people because weather they have a reptile ,cat or dog or bird they are a lovely bunch of people.

I brought Alice, my 10-year old daughter's tiny dwarf hamster to Dr. Rife 48 hours after she was gravely attacked by our cat. She had a huge 1" open wound under her arm and wasn't doing well. We didn't think she'd make it but with a little medical glue, a dose of antibiotics and lots of love and prayers, she's back to her sweet self. Thanks so much for all your help and support Dr. Rife and team! We were absolutely delighted with your warmth, medical knowledge and compassion for our little friend. I can not say enough WONDERFUL things about Dr. Rife & her amazing staff. East Haven Veterinary Hospital is like extended family. I have not once ever doubted the service in the 8 years that we've been going there. The staff is always friendly, curtious, professional & loving to my animals. "Sometimes you want to go Where everybody knows your name, And theyre always glad you came", these lyrics certainly speak true for this Veterinary Hospital. I travel 40min to see Dr. Rife and I would never think of going elsewhere!

We have been with East Haven Veterinary for some 20 years now. Dr Dammando is wonderful - if he ever retires I will track him down (just kidding). Dr Rife is just as wonderful. I highly recommend them. Lori and Lee always go above and beyond, and I know Shadow adores them both (it could have something to do with the treats). The doctors always try the most reasonable solution and cost effective solution. If you need a vet they are the ones you need.

Dr. Dammando and Dr. Rife and all the staff of Veterinary Associates of East Haven gave the best care imaginable to our dog for seventeen years. A lifetime ago we brought a little puppy in for his first shots, and have never thought of going anywhere else ever since.
Through all this time the doctors and staff of Veterinary Associates of East Haven were always there for our little friend, and what is rare, they were just as solicitous of my wife and me.
When our dog suffered a leg injury 10 years ago, one that we thought might prevent him from walking, Dr Dammando helped the dog recover, and was very sensitive to the anxiety this caused us.
Two years ago, during Hurricane Sandy, our faithful companion started having problems that were the first signs of the heart disease that took him away from us last week.
Dr. Dammando helped us get the proper diagnosis, and assured us that with medication our dog could live for months or longer. These last two years were both difficult and also a privilege.
When the day came, and our dog told us it was time to say goodbye, Dr. Rife was at the clinic and made an appointment time for 2 hours later. The care she and Jeremiah and the rest of the staff gave us and our dog at this critical moment was exemplary.
