I have been bringing my dog here for a number of years now. Up until now, my dog thankfully was only in need of his yearly check-ups. I never had too many complaints at this point, other than being disappointed at the fact that I always felt like I was being pressured to add more services onto an already thorough exam. The real issue with this vet began when I brought my dog in for a thorough exam, seeing that he was starting to vomit every day and was not eating as much as usual. I understand that troubleshooting is needed at first in hopes to rule out a list of possible reasons for an illness. Well, to make the long story short, I brought my dog in numerous times, sometimes two to three times a WEEK because the medications they were prescribing for my dog were not curing his illness, but only masking the symptoms for a short time. We all know vet bills can be extremely costly, but those of us who would do anything to help our pets would spend whatever we needed to, to make them better. That is exactly what we did...however, our doctor was unable to properly diagnose his illness and he was getting WORSE. At this time, my husband and I were thinking that we needed a second opinion because the doctors here seemed to be incompetent. They didn't know what to tell us anymore and it seemed that they were grabbing at straws at this point. Well, what happened next, made up our minds...I was on the phone one day with the clinic manager, Crystal, and I was frustrated. I was explaining to her how stressed and frustrated we were because our dog was not getting better with their care, but only getting worse. She actually had the nerve to insinuate that we were not properly giving our dog the care he needed!!! I was beside myself as I couldn't believe what I was hearing. At this point, after many months of coming to Star Meadow...and after already having spent thousands of dollars on care for our dog, how on earth could she even think something like that???I told Crystal how rude and uncalled for her insinuation was and that I was extremely insulted. Well, apparently, she didn't like the fact that I called her out on her rudeness, because SHE THEN HUNG UP ON ME. This woman, who is supposed to be a professional, hung up on me, one who has brought my dog to her clinic now for years and was clearly frustrated at the lack of care he had been receiving!!!Needless to say, I never went back there again, and instead, took my dog to another vet where he received the LIFE-SAVING care and surgery he needed and now he is back to himself!!! We can't thank the doctors enough who saved his life!Do NOT go to this vet...it seems to me that these doctors care more about their fancy paintings hanging on the walls of their clinic, rather than providing professional care for their furry clients.
