First vet I chose because of my location. Went there for years before considering that the treatment my dog was getting may not have been the best. He has been battling a chronic skin condition that came and went without a specific cause. I felt like they didn't care, did tests that weren't absolutely necessary, pushed treatments that were expensive when there were other alternatives and charged a lot compared to other vets in the area. I left feeling like his skin was my fault and felt like I just had to keep paying more and more money without any changes. I ultimately left and found a vet better suited for my dog (he was fixed in 2 weeks). Sad it didn't work out! Read Less

Based on the great reviews and the reasonable pricing I was quoted from Glastonbury Vet Hospital, I decided to give them a try when getting my first dog. I have been pleased with the knowledge, caring, and helpfulness of their reception staff, vet techs and the doctors themselves. All their employees really seem to care about the pets. They have a friendly demeanor and will take the time to explain things to you if you need help on anything related to the care of your pet. Highly recommend! Read Less

My elderly mom was very sad and heart broken she lost her very cute Dog Oreo. this vet hospital had the dog for over 3 weeks! gave it the best of treatment care ever. Also gave it its shots vaccinations. there main Concern was the well being of the Dog! they treated the dog with the best treatment Ever! staff was very friendly and the doctor gave the most helpful and friendly advice! Hi this is the best vet Ever! My elderly Mother in law rosa lopez lost her pet dog oreo! They had the dog for 3 weeks! gave the best of treatment and vaccinations.Over $1000 in medical treatment and did not demand payment. Three weeks ago I tried to bring my sick pet here. I was told that it didn't make sense to go there as they'd "have to get the records from my vet" so I'd be better off going to my own vet or an ER clinic (all of which are 20 mins away vs 1 mile). In the days of email and fax, getting records should not be an obstruction to a pets health especially in an emergency. Read Less

I've had a number of negative money grab experiences over the past 10 plus years here. They push for return appointments/huge prescriptions, don't make it easy to get your prescriptions filled elsewhere, misdiagnose simple things to perform unnecessary procedures. I know a business has to pay its bills, but this is unethical with little concern for your pet. In addition, the arrogance/attitude you get is overwhelming. They will blatantly deceive you to preform a procedure that puts money in their coffers. I took my dog in with a week to live and they did $1,600 of teeth cleaning/extraction. I guess they couldn't diagnose a dog with a total lose of appetite, dehydrated, anemic, coughing, difficulty breathing and baseball tumor with cancer/terminal. To them, that was a time to clean the dogs teeth and grab some quick easy money. Time to go elsewhere. Read Less

I have been going to this vet for about 8 years now from the day I got my first dog. I now have 2 dogs and a cat. Three years ago I moved to North Haven which is a pretty far haul to get the pets to Glastonbury but I continue going because the staff are amazing. My pom has allergies problems and they have been really helpful in helping me figure it out over the years without rushing to costly tests. My German Shepherd has pretty bad anxiety (he was given up twice before joining my family) and the Glastonbury Vet staff are kind and patient with him and work with me to find cost effective ways to ease his fears. While I will agree that some of the routine care is a bit expensive, I think they are worth the cost in the love they take with my pets. They always recognize us when we walk in the door and they know how to care for each one of my three differently. Clearly if I'm still driving 30 minutes to get to them after 3 years, they must be doing something right. Read Less

I was with this clinic for years, first at Glastonbury Vet Hospital on Pratt Street, Glastonbury, CT before there was a location in Marlborough.  They are affiliated with each other --- the female Vet (wife) is the co-owner of the Glastonbury location and the male Vet (husband) is the co-owner of the Marlborough location.  Their billing system they use is the same for both locations.   I had always paid on time for the 3 animals I had with their clinic = a lot of money spent. There was a one time a mistake was made by their employee.  The office staff forgot to charge me $15 at the time I paid for the annual examination including medications in the office.  So I later received a bill in the mail in which I did not pay the amount right away, approx. 2 months.  Go forward a few months and one of my cats had to be euthanized.  The Marlborough location was closed at that particular time so I went to the Glastonbury location.  I was in the examination room ready to euthanize my cat and they called me outside of the examination room right before having to put her to sleep to hand them my Visa card. This never happened before to me!  It was like I was being treated like a delinquent, awful person. All they think about is money. I have consistently had problems with their billing policies. I get charged for services I do not ask for, do not want, and do know about until the extremely rude receptionist hands me my bill. I have taken my business elsewhere and suggest to all my friends and family they do the same. Read Less

I have had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with Dr Pampreen she is an idiot, she like some of her staff members refuse to answer any questions concerning the illness of a pet, she is less than professional, like certain staff members. Their are much better vet in the area. Read Less

I'm torn on this place.  On one hand, I really like the folks who work here.  They seem to love way they do, and they take good care of my Corgi.  That's all good.  On the other hand, I feel like they are astronomically expensive compared to other vets in the area.  I'll admit that I'm not familiar with 'good pricing' when it comes to vets, but I feel like $315 for a standard checkup is STEEP.  My dog also had a fairly minor surgical procedure completed last year and it was $2000!  Just seems like crazy talk.  In summary - great people, but proceed with caution... Horrible place- only interested in $$I had an open account w/these people for years. I always paid on time, never late. The terms of our agreement were altered without talking to me and I found out after I had transported 2 sick cats 10 miles in a car. They didn't mention anything until I was standing in front of them. I didn't have $$ when I showed up, I thought it would go to account. The cats went back to the car.Later I asked for my medical records. I was told I would get them. No mention of a per page fee.1 week later- still no records- called them, spoke to that ray of sunshine Robin, who "didn't like my attitude" and hung up numerous times. Silly me, I wanted to know why I was being treated like I was, not like I have a right to know. Would have been nice if they had told me about the per page fee a week ago- guess the bar was set too high in the CSR area for them.I then got a call from Glastonbury Police, telling me not to come to the facility.Still wondering what I did to start this.The only thing I can conclude is that they are so strapped for $$ that only the high payers will get surviced. This thought is backed up by the allways empty waiting room, and the unusually high fees I have always paid.
