The animal hospital of Berlin was outstanding in every way. We brought our Siberian husky in to be evaluated after leaving another vet and the doctors were right on target and gave us a good idea of what was going on with her. They gave us several options and possible cost. They also let us know that our dog would not have a great life regardless of what we did. We ended up putting our beautiful Husky down who had given us nothing but 11 years of pleasure. My family thanks all the doctors at the animal hospital of Berlin and will trust them with their next dogs which will be coming soon.

Absolutely amazing staff! Out dog was brought in after being hit by a car and Kara did an amazing job making sure Bella did not pass alone and words cant explain how much our family appreciate it. Went back days later and was given clippings of her hair and a paw print as well.. They were so compassionate and caring. Unfortunately we met this way but I couldn't ask for better care.

I honestly can't say enough good things about the Doctors and Staff of the Animal Hospital of Berlin. My cat, Ms. Cleo, was diagnosed with small cell lymphoma. Unfortunately she lost the battle last year, but we were able to spend another 3 good years with her following the initial diagnosis and I will be forever grateful for that. The doctors were always honest and upfront about her condition and what it would cost and what to expect with the treatments. They also provided me with a variety of treatment options. During the course of the illness, when we needed the opinion of an Oncologist, they were able to recommend a specialist nearby and worked with them on treatments.The staff was always supportive and knows how special their patient's pets are to them. Truly a great team and highly recommended.

We have been bringing our pets to Animal Hospital of Berlin since 1999. We can't put into words how much we appreciate the care that they have all received. Everyone from the doctors to the staff are great. We have had pets all our lives and feel that this is the best veterinary hospital we have dealt with over the years. We recommend them to people without any hesitation that they will be happy with how they and their pets are treated.

I cannot recommend the Animal Hospital of Berlin more highly. All of the staff are compassionate,caring and attentive. From boarding my animals yearly for many years through routine medical appointments to emergency situations, the care and treatment has been exemplary. I have had two animals with tricky chronic conditions, where medications have needed adjustment according to the state of the condition. With both animals, the vets and technicians have taken the time to work with me so that I can better care for my 'kids.' I have been presented with treatment options that best fit the 'personality' of my animals. These options have extended the life of my currently elderly cat. Staff have also gone out of the way to fit me in for an appointment if something unexpected has come up. If you love your animals like family, this is the place to take them for treatment!

I have been bringing my kitties to the Animal Hospital of Berlin for almost 18 years (just after I first found my triplets in a parking lot and became an 'accidental pet parent'. The staff are caring and proficient. The vets are great in appointments and in phone consultations.True, as they get older my cats increasingly protest their visits (i.e. any trip outside their house or yard) but I want them to have quality care and that's what they get here. Vet costs may be rising (like human medical costs) but pet insurance is available. And, if you love your pets like family members then you want a vet practice that you trust. I have confidence in the Animal Hospital of Berlin.

I just want to thank all of you for your conpassion that you showed me and my dog who needed to be put down because of cancer even though its hard enough to have to make that decision of doing it you walked me through what you were going to do and how you would be doing it and i stayed with my girl and she went so peacefully thank you all so much for that I can't begin to tell you how much more I was at peace that nite knowing that she went so peacefully. and when I heal and bring another dog into our family I will be making Animal Hospital of Berlin our Veterinarian.

Disclaimer: I am not employed by the Animal Hospital of Berlin however, I know the employees well and am very well acquainted with the hospital. The name attached to this response is my own. I am not hiding behind the anonymity of the internet. Yes, the Animal Hospital does humanely euthanise animals for the Town of New Britain. Unfortunatly the majority of these animals are Pit Bulls who through careless breeding and/or mistreatment are extremely aggressive animals. Pit Bulls can be wonderful companions and I know of many that are. it is not a fault of the breed but rather the circumstances of their upbringing (or breeding) that cause extreme aggressive behavior. Not every dog or cat can be saved. Once a dog is taken into custody by the town that dog belongs to the town. With that ownership comes the legal ramifications if that dog should ever happen to attack. In addition there is the financial cost to the town of caring for animals indefinately. In a perfect world there would be unlimited resources for care of ALL homeless strays. We all know that is not the case. The animal hospital does do extensive charity work for local animal rescue groups as well as The Hungerford Nature Center. Each year many stray animals are adopted out by the hospital. You can always stop the hospital to visit the current residents waiting for homes. As for cost? Prices are comparable to those of other veternary hospitals offering a similar level of care. This VET is Way too expensive and has no compassion for animals. I've also been told that this particular vet euthanizes dogs that arent even sick for the Town of New Britain. Because of this, I will not go there. Perhaps these vets should try doing something nice with their talents and help people with animals or do a spay/neuter clinic!!

Alas, our only visit here was our lab retriever's final visit, but Dr. Miller and her staff were compassionate as can be, in person and on the phone. We'll eventually be back through the dog entrance with our next pup.

I honestly can't say enough good things about the Doctors and Staff of the Animal Hospital of Berlin. My cat, Ms. Cleo, was diagnosed with small cell lymphoma. Unfortunately she lost the battle last year, but we were able to spend another 3 good years with her following the initial diagnosis and I will be forever grateful for that. The doctors were always honest and upfront about her condition and what it would cost and what to expect with the treatments. They also provided me with a variety of treatment options. During the course of the illness, when we needed the opinion of an Oncologist, they were able to recommend a specialist nearby and worked with them on treatments.The staff was always supportive and knows how special their patient's pets are to them. Truly a great team and highly recommended.

We have been bringing our pets to Animal Hospital of Berlin since 1999. We can't put into words how much we appreciate the care that they have all received. Everyone from the doctors to the staff are great. We have had pets all our lives and feel that this is the best veterinary hospital we have dealt with over the years. We recommend them to people without any hesitation that they will be happy with how they and their pets are treated.

I cannot recommend the Animal Hospital of Berlin more highly. All of the staff are compassionate,caring and attentive. From boarding my animals yearly for many years through routine medical appointments to emergency situations, the care and treatment has been exemplary. I have had two animals with tricky chronic conditions, where medications have needed adjustment according to the state of the condition. With both animals, the vets and technicians have taken the time to work with me so that I can better care for my 'kids.' I have been presented with treatment options that best fit the 'personality' of my animals. These options have extended the life of my currently elderly cat. Staff have also gone out of the way to fit me in for an appointment if something unexpected has come up. If you love your animals like family, this is the place to take them for treatment!

I have been bringing my kitties to the Animal Hospital of Berlin for almost 18 years (just after I first found my triplets in a parking lot and became an 'accidental pet parent'. The staff are caring and proficient. The vets are great in appointments and in phone consultations.True, as they get older my cats increasingly protest their visits (i.e. any trip outside their house or yard) but I want them to have quality care and that's what they get here. Vet costs may be rising (like human medical costs) but pet insurance is available. And, if you love your pets like family members then you want a vet practice that you trust. I have confidence in the Animal Hospital of Berlin.

I just want to thank all of you for your conpassion that you showed me and my dog who needed to be put down because of cancer even though its hard enough to have to make that decision of doing it you walked me through what you were going to do and how you would be doing it and i stayed with my girl and she went so peacefully thank you all so much for that I can't begin to tell you how much more I was at peace that nite knowing that she went so peacefully. and when I heal and bring another dog into our family I will be making Animal Hospital of Berlin our Veterinarian.

Disclaimer: I am not employed by the Animal Hospital of Berlin however, I know the employees well and am very well acquainted with the hospital. The name attached to this response is my own. I am not hiding behind the anonymity of the internet. Yes, the Animal Hospital does humanely euthanise animals for the Town of New Britain. Unfortunatly the majority of these animals are Pit Bulls who through careless breeding and/or mistreatment are extremely aggressive animals. Pit Bulls can be wonderful companions and I know of many that are. it is not a fault of the breed but rather the circumstances of their upbringing (or breeding) that cause extreme aggressive behavior. Not every dog or cat can be saved. Once a dog is taken into custody by the town that dog belongs to the town. With that ownership comes the legal ramifications if that dog should ever happen to attack. In addition there is the financial cost to the town of caring for animals indefinately. In a perfect world there would be unlimited resources for care of ALL homeless strays. We all know that is not the case. The animal hospital does do extensive charity work for local animal rescue groups as well as The Hungerford Nature Center. Each year many stray animals are adopted out by the hospital. You can always stop the hospital to visit the current residents waiting for homes. As for cost? Prices are comparable to those of other veternary hospitals offering a similar level of care. This VET is Way too expensive and has no compassion for animals. I've also been told that this particular vet euthanizes dogs that arent even sick for the Town of New Britain. Because of this, I will not go there. Perhaps these vets should try doing something nice with their talents and help people with animals or do a spay/neuter clinic!!
