I have been going to this vet for about 6 years. It is part of a group of 5 vets in the area (CT Valley Veterinary Associates) and they all share one centralized patient database, which is great. This includes their 24/7 emergency center in Middletown. That's the place you hope you never need but feel good knowing there is one available who has all of your pet's information at their fingertips, even at 3 in the morning on a Sunday.Back to Marlborough Animal Hospital...it is a smaller place with maybe 3 exam rooms. I exclusively see Dr. DiNapoli, who is great. She is kind, easy to talk to, and very realistic when it comes to treatment. I have felt that other vets in the past push lots of testing and other services to bulk up the tab. I truly feel Dr. DiNapoli calls them likes she sees them and always presents a range of options, talking about the issues with you rather than talking at you. I have (unfortunately) put a pet to sleep here, been through a surgery, and many many well visits...these are caring people and I don't hesitate to recommend them. I also find their prices to be quite reasonable, especially in comparison to some other vets in the area (*cough* Glastonbury).For a while there, delays were getting rough. As in, you'd show up on time and you would always wait 15 minutes until being seen. However in the past year or two, that seems to have completely subsided, so thankfully they got their act together regarding scheduling. The vet techs and front desk staff are all great and so sweet BUT...I do have one negative about the place. There is one woman who works at the front desk who always seems to be complaining. She is very nice to the people coming in and out but she almost always makes remarks about being understaffed, she is too busy and needs help, etc. which I find terribly unprofessional. I don't see any of the problems as a customer, so she should by no means be complaining to the public about what she sees as internal issues. I don't let one Negative Nancy darken my opinion of the place but if anyone from the Animal Hospital is reading this...talk to that dark storm cloud out front, she is doing your business no favors.
