I'm not sure if anyone reading this takes their pets to the Animal Clinic of Milford. They told us over the phone that our beloved Nitro could have a brain tumor, upsetting us to no end. When all he really had was a severe infection from a simple neutering.....makes you wonder how competent they truly are. I'd say not at all. Needless to say we switched vets asap. I have way more negative to say about them but I think this in itself speaks volumes as to their expertise and their capacity for caring. They sold us expired medications as well to treat the infection they in all probability caused....so not happy with them. Wish I had more of a recourse than just this review. From reading all of these reviews it seems as though they are prejudice against big dogs. I had so many bad experiences there, and in hind site, I should have never let them treat my dogs. BUT, even if they did not like my dog for whatever reason, it gives them no right, and there is no excuse to tell us over the phone that he could have a brain tumor, from a "botched neutering". (after all don't you need some type of tests and evaluations to say Brain Tumor..YES I would think so!, but not them!) It was mean spirited and unforgivable. They didn't even want to give him a follow up from the neutering......nor did they call. And when we called them we got this absurd cruel remark. Why would I accept any comments from a VET that I would by no means accept from my pediatrician, as my dogs are like my children. The answer to that is I WOULD NOT and I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO. They should be ashamed of themselves for their words and their actions, or rather lack of actions. They may be OK with bunnies and hamsters, but a dog over 10 lbs. they are incompetent and uncaring. We went there not realizing it was not still owned and operated by the original Vet, whom we learned upon our first visit, had passed. I'm sure he is rolling over in his grave at the downward spiral of a business he started, which thrived from his caring. I really don't want local business to fail, but this place needs to fail for the sake of all of our animals welfare. (I also would like it known that this has nothing to do with money as we paid them, what to us has been a small fortune for two dogs over the past year or so). And as caring pet owners we spare no expense making sure our animals are treated well and have access to the best healthcare we can give them. .After all do we not all owe our pets the best food, the best healthcare and the best environment to grow and be healthy and happy and thrive in that we can give them. So, my advice comes form hind-site and advocate for your pets as you would your children, and remember they have no voice, we are their voice. Do not accept sub-par treatment for your pet or yourself as a pet lover. If this post stops one person from being abused by this so called "animal clinic". Then I feel better. Read Less
