Horrible vet that does not care about the animal. They only care about the money and the make Vet is childish and rude. He tried to intimidate me by confronting me in the parking lot because I was asking questions about a rather large bill that no one wanted to explain. He was sadly mistaken when he tried to bully me and went inside the vet yelling in a jokingly manner good luck because my dog will lose an eye. They also refused to let me part ways with a prescription for his allergy med I’m which they make you go in to pay an extra 65 dollars just to pay fir the medication. I've gone here for the past few years with my 2 dogs. It's a good experience if nothing is wrong with your dog. However, when your dog gets sick they send you everywhere just to get more money out of you. I would stay away from Dr. Brian at all costs. He caused my 14 year old dog to have seizures by decreasing his medication by 300mg! My dog has now passed, because of a vet who has no common sense. He has a very big ego and thinks he knows everything by disagreeing with customers. The staff is friendly, but that's the only good thing about this place. I would not recommend this place at all to anyone, unless your dog never gets sick. Read Less

I had been going to Beacon Valley for many years for my Dachshunds.    When it came time to put down our 18-year-old beloved female Dachshund , we made an appointment and took her to Beacon Valley . Myself and my older brother went. I cringed when the blonde female vet walked in, she has always shown little if any empathy and almost always seemed aggravated by any questions asked to her. I thought because of "why" we were there, she might be better, on the contrary she was WORSE. I was beyond heartbroken and she was just like whatever, it's time to go, LAST THING SHE SAID -"Do you want the bed you brought her in,  back?!  Please pay at the front desk"... I believe that's all she said after. NOT I'm sorry, etc.       After speaking to a few people, when they took their beloved pets(other places), their vets first sedated them with a quick shot into the most accessible muscle, their dogs barely noticed .Then they shaved their wrist area and then they put the final medication into the vein they found. That was not the case for my poor girl. They went right to the vein, no shaving, No prior sedation and she missed a couple times and poor Taco girl was screaming, I had never, ever heard her scream out like that. It was the most horrible experience. I have since not been back, nor will I ever.    Besides they're awful bedside manner The vet, & one front desk woman is ALSO so rude and snippy every time I encountered her ......What I was getting too say also is their VERY EXPENSIVE prices, compared to the values now, it was almost half the price to have my in-laws dog put down elsewhere and considering what had to be done, it was handled both professional and empathetically!!!     I never write reviews, but when my in-laws dog was put down yesterday, it brought up all the feelings and both anger and sadness I had. Just don't want any other pet owner who loves their pet dearly , Who is considered family, to go through what I did Read Less

He has a horrible personality and does not care about the animals - it is all about the money for him. I love my animals and take great care of them. I could write a book but I will leave two important experiences instead. This is for my Mother who passed away shortly after her cat passed. We took her monthly to this vet because my Mother knew something was wrong. He had bloodwork done and she was still told nothing was wrong until his kidneys failed. He had diabetes all along and if bloodwork was done, why wasn't this detected? And treated. Instead she had to lay him down. This is for my dog Lady. She was diagnosed here with cancer and because we took her for a second opinion and didn't lay her down here- she didn't even get a card for rainbow bridge. I was happy that Cheshire hospital who are wonderful sent me a angel dog pin to show me that Lady did matter. She didn't here because he didn't get the money. I don't recommend you ever take your animal here. And believe me I can go on and on about my cat Big Baby and the awful care he got too. I think I got my point across. No I have the right vet. I had been coming here for a little while for just the basics vaccinations and physicals - so everything was ok.. but the minute my dog got sick they didn't want to deal with it - they didn't even want me to bring her in- they sent me to another office over 50 miles away from where I live. The receptionist told me out right to go and find another vet because they don't want to deal with the situation. and to get the records was another story - I had to call them everyday for over a week and a half just to send the records to another vet as they instructed me to do. I even asked for the records - their response was we can send them to you for a fee.. after fighting that point I gave in and said fine I will pay the .25 cent per page..just send them.. that was two weeks ago and I still don't have the records. they seem nice when you first go there but don't let your pet get ill - they are a nightmare and uncaring.. I took my time to get rid of my initial anger to write this post - however the facts remain the same.. in my dogs hour of need they totatlly turned their back on her and the situation. and were very rude in any type of assistance when they are the ones who recommended I go somewhere else. What a great place! I recently switched to Beacon Valley Animal Hospital. We have 2 dogs and brought them both t for the checkup and then to have the puppy spayed. They couldn't have been more professional, knowledgeable and  friendly. I was worried about my puppy staying over night after her surgery and they were so reassuring and let me leave her blanket and bed for her. They took a picture of her and texted it to me which was really cool.  She came back to me the next day happy, healthy and micro-chipped. Dr. Laubstein is great with the dogs and seemingly very knowledgeable. His staff couldn't be nicer. I also noticed that a lot of animals were being brought in that morning and they told me that they take care of the pets from the local animal shelter. Though I wouldn't pick a vet on price, I can't help to say that the prices are incredibly reasonable.  I highly recommend! Read Less

Last week this time, we lived one of every pet owners nightmares. My 9 year old shepherd, Nevada, was not acting herself. My husband brought her into Dr. Brian late afternoon and within a few moments, Dr. Brian felt something in her belly. After Xrays, it was evident it was a mass in the area of her spleen and possibly her liver. Being extremely thorough, Dr Brian arranged for her to get an ultrasound immediately at one of the area emergency clinics, did blood work and performed an additional chest xray so that we could make an educated decision as to what we were up against. The entire time, he was very calming (even though we just wanted to sob) explaining Nevada's care plan. Within an hour, Dr Brian was reviewing the ultrasound results with the Doctor that performed the ultrasound. Dr Brian scheduled emergency surgery to remove Nevada's spleen for first thing in the morning with her little sister, Sedona donating blood for Nevada, in order to stack the deck to give her the best chance possible. My husband and I felt the most comfortable with Dr Brian performing the surgery. By 8am she was at the hospital. Within 2 hours, Dr Brian let us now that she did really good in surgery and they were able to remove the spleen intact sending a biopsy to the lab just to be sure. Huge sigh of relief. Throughout the day, Dr Brian let us know each time Nevada and Sedona made it over huddles. It was so incredibly comforting knowing what was going on as anyone who has gone through this knows the agony of watching the clock. His staff at Beacon Valley Animal Hospital are absolutely AWESOME!! While we were going through this, it was like his staff was going through it with us. They were so compassionate and empathetic. Not only that, they were so complete in their care instructions, what to expect, the meds, and they had it all printed out just to be sure. Dr Brian followed up first thing the next day to see how we made out. The staff was insistent, call if we had any questions or concerns. As soon as the biopsy results came in, AWESOME news from Dr Brian, the biopsy came back benign. Our little girl, Nevada, would not be here right now if it werent for Dr. Brians prompt and accurate diagnosis after which he performed a life-saving operation. Dr. Brians extensive experience and knowledge especially in a crisis situation is incredible. He and his staff are so compassionate. I really do feel as though Dr. Brian treats each and every one of his clients' animals as if they were his own. We have been bringing our shepherds to Dr Brian for years. I am so thankful for Dr Brian and his staff. Even if our results were not as good, my husband and I know that our girls have the best chance possible with Dr Brian and his staff. Read Less

I have had my dog for ten years.  She has lymphoma.  When she was aging I was told she has flank changes.  You would think that while Palpatin her that she would have felt her cervical and axillary lymph getting enlarged.  We had growths tested that always came back negative.  Funny how shortly after she is now deteriorating.  If they knew about the enlarged lymph they never told me.  One day you might find out on your own like I did that your precious pet may not be with you for long like I did.  Good luck to all who go here. Don't bring your dogs here.. they are the money hungry and not caring at all. THEY ARE THE WORST.. PERIOD Read Less

I have a 4 month old kitten and Beacon Valley has been with us every step of the way. My kitten has had a lot of issues in his first few months of life and we know we can call Beacon Valley anytime and for anything. They don't charge per call and are always very helpful. They've been great dealing with two nervous, new cat parents! Also very reasonably priced for their services. I don't feel overcharged here at all. Read Less

We tried a few vets until we came here.  We've never gone anywhere else since. The facility is always clean, has 2 sides to the waiting area to separate pets who might not get along, they are amazing with my 60+lb. hyper border collie, they've been flexible about payment options and they don't condescend when talking to the human owners, as we've experienced at others.
