Only place I feel safe bringing my cats. They are the best. It can be a little pricey but I always find it's worth it. Only twice have either of my cats ever been sick, and I was able to get in right away and they gave them their full attention and treated them perfectly, as with their yearly exams too. Read Less

My experience at Park Lane Animal Hospital was not only the worst of any Veterinary hospital I have been to, but it was the worst experience of anywhere I have been since I have moved to CT. The vet assistant called my cats name and started walking down the hall for me to follow her, I said hello and I didn't even get a hello back. She was extremely unfriendly to both me and my cat. Then came in Dr. Nelson who was no better. I brought my cat in for a cough. She told me she would not be taking his temperature because "he doesn't look like he would like that" and she approached him as if she didn't want to touch him. They both held him down on his side to listen to his heartbeat and then complained that he was meowing too much. They let go of him and he jumped on the counter and proceeded to stick his nose in a bowl of tools soaking in disinfectant and Dr. Nelson coldly stated "Well I bet you won't be nosy and do that again." I asked her about trimming his nails (which Petco normally does for me every three weeks with no problem) and she said she wouldn't do it while he was awake and that cats don't need their nails cut anyway!!! (WHAT?!) Regarding his cough, she suggested I "videotape it next time and send it to her". Seriously cannot make this stuff up. I left so upset, having put my cat through such a bad experience and having paid $65.00 to be treated this way. I thought maybe they had something against cats, but my friend brought her Husky there and was treated the same! Since then I have found a wonderful vets office and couldn't be happier. They are always compassionate and caring. They don't ever rush you in and out. They took the time to discuss options with my 20 year old cat. And I really appreciate everything they do. I have to send them a thank you letter. I have used this place for all my pets over the last 20 years and I have driven over an hour to get here passing 10 other vets. It's worth the trip. Park Lane is fantastic. One of our dogs had a lot of issues requiring frequent visits, surgery, lots of medications, etc. The staff was always patient with her (and us). She was a nervous, timid dog but she was in good hands with Dr Dinwiddie and the rest of the crew. As she aged and her issues became worse, Dr D went above and beyond to make sure she was as comfortable as possible. Our other dog had knee surgery there and has been doing great in the years since. I loved my dog Yogi with all my heart. In his 13 years on this planet, he travelled with me coast to coast across Canada from Vancouver to Toronto. He was in every state in the US except the Dakotas, and Alaska and Hawaii. He was the core of our pack. He was blind and diabetic for the last three years of his life and he didn't care. He was happy and content. He LOVED Park Lane. They took such good care of him. They helped me and my wife Kat deal with the blindness and diabetes. They helped us care for him. And when it was time, they helped us help him transition. They even arranged for his cremains to get back to us, and that it was the CERTIFIED remains of our Yogi. I have never been more appreciative of the entire staff of a vet hospital in my life. Thank you for the condolence card as well. You helped me, my wife, and Yogi more than you can know.Read Less

I have known Dr. Dinwiddie what seems to be all my life... He has been there to help our animal family of cats and dogs since I was little. He helps us take proper care of them through good & bad times. He understands where we animal Moms and Dads come from, but is extremely knowledgeable about what exact medical needs are required for our animal family. Park Lane Animal Hospital is a great place to bring your pets!We took one of our dogs to see Dr. Nelson, in order to update her rabies shot - pleasantly surprised to find out than she uses a mercury-free vaccine, without us even having to ask. Dr. Nelson is very knowledgeable, professional, and her bedside manner is wonderful; her staff is also great - they're all very courteous, informative, and incredibly nice with their patients! Our dog has been going to Park Lane for over 8 years now. Dr. Dinwiddie recently performed an ACL surgery on her. He called us the night before the surgery with information, he emailed us X-rays right after the surgery, and he gave us a call after the surgery as well. The staff is very nice and makes going to the vet a pleasant experience.Read Less

The staff of park lane animal hospital have been taking care of my dogs well over 9yrs. The techs are amazing, I love how they interact with each of my dogs as each comes with a unique personality. Dr. Lee and the folks at Park Lane Animal Hospital are absolutely the very best. I have been breeding and training dogs for over 20 years now and have never been completely satisfied with the vets I have used -- until now. Even thou its a 40 minute drive from our kennel to Park Lane Animal Hospital I gladly make the trip because of the service and care our dogs receive. This is a great vet office. The hours that they state under google is wrong. They are open late on Tuesday and Thursday's till 6:30 and they open at 8:30 a.m. They are also open on Saturday's 8:30 to 12:00 p.m. I would highly recommend them to you.
