Founded in 1989 and developing rapidly, Fairfield Equine Associates has gained a world-wide reputation as one of the finest equine medical practices in the world.
Receiving national and international recognition for excellence in the care and treatment of the sport horse, we have been proud to serve the United States Equestrian Team at multiple Olympic Games and other international events for the past four decades.
In November of 2000, Fairfield Equine opened a state-of-the-art equine hospital in Newtown, Connecticut. With a highly-trained staff and the latest technologic advancements, equine veterinary care of the highest caliber and most advanced level are routinely provided to the horses entrusted to us.
We recognize that our ability to provide premium care to our patients consists of a few key ingredients: our staff, our clients and our referring veterinarians. We are dedicated to exceeding our clients' expectations while providing compassionate health care for their horses.

I would recommend Fairfield Equine without hesitation! I am embarrassed to say I called them for the first time during a blizzard and Dr. Becky Urion was on call and did not hesitate to come help my horse. She was professional, compassionate, skilled, and great with explanations. Even though it was freezing cold and late at night she was patient and never seemed to be in a rush. I was especially impressed that she continued to contact me to check on my horse until he was on the right track. It turned out that he needed an Internal Medicine Specialist for more testing, and Dr. Urion quickly contacted the right person and arranged for my horse to be seen at Fairfield Equine Hospital quickly by the specialist. Again, my experience was great! The hospital was clean and the staff was kind and skilled. I would also recommend the specialist that was called in with 5 stars - Dr. Amy Polkes did a great job with ultrasound and advanced diagnostics for my horse. Overall, a great experience and would recommend Fairfield Equine, Dr. Becky Urion, and Dr. Amy Polkes to all horse owners :)
