Really couldn’t write a more disappointing review for this place. If it was possible to rate 0 stars, I would. Brought my new kitten here cause it was close to home for me and my boyfriend. She needed her shots and vaccines (rabies, distemper, and deworming) and we had suspected that she might have ear mites from the place we got her. The assistant was okay in explaining half of what was going on, but the doctor... not so much. He was careless, rude, inexplanatory, and extremely rough. Upon bringing my kitten in she was weighed and I was immediately ridiculed for having a kitten that was “too small”. My kitten is 11-12 weeks and was properly weaned from her mother, she has been eating wet food and dry food on her own, knows how to use the litter box, and although she might be small in size, both her mother and father were smaller cats.
After being ridiculed, he took a look in her ears. He then left the room without saying a word and slammed the door which scared my cat. He came back in the room (letting the door slam again) with the accompany of scissors in which he wrapped a small amount of cotton around and stuck into my kittens ears!!!!!!!! Now I am no doctor or vet but I am almost positive you should never stick an instrument of any kind into an ear canal. What if she had moved the wrong way and he had pierced her ear drum!?! Granted, she had a lot in there that need to be cleaned but I am sure there is a better way than using SCISSORS.
Now again, I am no doctor but I was told that she was “too young” to have her rabies shots (which after some research are given at 12 weeks) but I settled for distemper and deworming. Slamming the door again on his way in and out, my kitten was getting agitated. Meanwhile I still had no explaination of what was going on, he administered her deworming by aggressively holding her down (in which there was no reason to because she was not biting or scratching) and shoving the tube in her mouth. He then grabbed her by the scruff and put the distemper shot in the back of her neck, which I’m pretty sure (again after much research) is supposed to be given in the muscle in one of her hind legs. He then put the medicine in her ears for the mites and said after the fact something about regulation laws but it works “just fine”. I put my kitten into the crate and walked out, pissed, upset, and dissatisfied. I was told I needed to follow up in 3-4 weeks and needless to say I WILL NOT BE BACK. Save yourself the trip, pay the extra money somewhere else because this place does NOT deserve it. Read Less
