It seems my experience was opposite of other posters. The doctors were great, fabulous. I brought in a miniature poodle in I adopted 8 weeks before, she was having puppies. Previous owner didn't tell me she was pregnant. Vet was awesome as I had brought one in that she already had at home, great instructions for me to take and follow. She has several more there and then a few more when I got home. A vet tech there harassed me the minute I brought the puppy in that she wanted the grey and white one. I said, I will think about it. These are rescue pups but sure you are a vet tech; I trust you know what to do. She took my phone put her name and number in it and texted me nonstop about 'wanting' the puppy. I told her although the mom is a mini poodle, I didn't know who the dad was I would be doing an accurate DNA test to find out in few weeks. Also there will be an adoption form and adoption fee. As I am responsible for them and feeding and vetting before they go to a home. She really thought I would just give a puppy away like some uneducated person? Then, sadly a week later my Alapaha Blue Blood American Bulldog 10.5 yrs old collapsed, didn't eat and had heavy breathing. I knew it was most likely a burst tumor hemangiosarcoma, I dealt with this in three of my other dogs. My ex-husband and I ran a training and boarding facility for 15 yrs and I have been a groomer over 20 yrs, we have also worked with vets. I had to euthanize him. Through my tears she was still asking me about adopting the puppy. I told her I was distraught but yes, she can have the puppy and then and there she started haggling with me about the price. As I was in mourning. Three pups died, two of them I had cremated. I went in to pick up the remains and a woman there started talking to me about how said, tiny pups died. I told her the mom is a poodle, previous owner said she probably got pregnant from toy poodle next door, but I don't think the dad was a poodle, they don't appear to be purebred. I added, the mom is and in any even these puppies will find great homes. Doodles. Within a couple of hours this vet tech (after texting me hourly for days begging for this puppy texts me)she simply said, "I'm going to pass on your puppy. I wish you the best in finding them homes.". Are you for real? Because they may not be 100% poodle, I said from the beginning I need to do a DNA when they are 8 weeks old. And I told her they appear to be Aussiedoodles to me. I have two friends that want one each just knowing the mom is a mini poodle. So first, she wanted a doodle for free, or better yet a purebred poodle. Then when this other woman working there told her I said I don't think they are pure poodles but they most definitely will get homes this 'child' and that is what she is, decides she doesn't want my puppy. I never offered it to. I went there for veterinary help. Not to offer her or anyone a puppy. Then my other dog dies within a few days and I am devastated and she is texting me non-stop about adopting the puppy. "I definitely want the grey and white one.". I would not adopt to this 'child' even if she gave me double the amount, that I will be asking as an adoption fee. I have a tough form to be filled out, an agreement between me and adopter. This is what my ex-husband and I have done in rescue for 25 years. She is immature, and inexperienced and frankly I don't understand how she is allowed to harass clients coming in with serious issues concerning their pets. I told her, these puppies can stay with me for 6 months I am in no hurry. They have to go to the proper homes. All I have to say is in this small office they gab a lot there. I am a genuine person who loves animals and makes sure they end up in safe hands. Others please beware if this 'child' bothers you. Tell her to just do her job and leave it at that. Read Less
