This place is the best place I've ever taken one of my cats to. They care, are reachable, and are very professional. They've taken great care of my animals and are great in an emergency crisis. This is a large space and as the name says, it is all about cats - complete with pet store, the office and clinic! Staff is professional and helpful. The space is well-kept with an interesting selection of cat-related books in the patient waiting area. The doctor and staff handle the cats with ease and care and answer all your questions. Dr B is the worst vet I've ever come across. Lost a thermometer up my cats behind. Refused to take it out told me to go home I refused. My cat was older and I wanted it out! He got angry and called me provacative! No nurse to witness which is why he lost the thermometer to begin with. Been to all the animal clinics and all others better than this place in my experience. Went on vaca prior to this event and kenneled 3 cats. Called everyday was clearly worried told all fine a week later picked them up: all sick, puss comingvout of eyes, drooling, just sick. Apparently the excuse was another animal came in sick so my cats got sick. Ever hear of quarantine procedures??? Apparently not and why didn't they inform me they got sick when I called? 4 weeks all of them on antibiotics twice a day! Anyone ever give a cat a pill? Yea it's not easy ESP after a vacation. This is a great place and I love the fact that they concentrate on cats and only cats.  Their facility is very clean and I've never had a long wait when bringing in my cat. I also greatly appreciate the fact that they have a Friends of Felines adoption center within their facilities -- it lets me know JCVH not only love and care about cats, but are also compassionate and willing to do more than their share for the community.  My senior kitty has been coming here since she was a kitten (with her previous owner, and now me) and I've been very pleased with the care she receives from Dr. Lyn. Dr. Lyn is kind, knowledgeable and easy to talk to, plus his interest and focus is on geriatric cats so this is a perfect fit for all. I've also used their boarding services and have to say they're great with that, too. Cannot recommend this place enough.  Dr. Gibbons (and really, all the doctors and staff I've interacted with) is/are fabulous.  They really care about my 10 year old cat, Sage, and better yet, they're super knowledgeable.  They take into account his needs (whether they be from his chronic illness or his history as a shelter kitty).  They're also very good about squeezing in emergency visits when needed.  Seriously, this place is amazing. I’ve been using a Vet literally two blocks from my home, which needless to say, was convenient. But on a few occasions the price they wanted to charge me was more then would be charged for us humans. Reluctantly I searched for a new vet for my cat because she was hacking without the fur balls, and came across Just Cats right off exit 9. Right from the location, to the receptionist to the doctor’s aid taking my cat and her carrier to the doctor was phenomenal. Knowledgable, kind, you don't need to bend over backwards to get an appointment, and very reasonably priced. We're coming from another local vet where we would have to wait days for an appointment and the cost was insane. Customer focused full service medical, care, and store for cat owners. Vets are outstanding and all staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Boarding/hotel available though I have not used. Store on first floor is well equipped especially for prescription foods and other products (eg hair ball treatments). No dogs in the waiting room makes for a calm kitty! Read Less

Payment is due immediately at the end of every visit, they do not offer payment plans or allow you to pay in installments but this is their way to keep prices low and affordable for all. I feel it's a wonderful concept given their prices are pretty much unbeatable. They accept both cash and credit cards, however I'm not sure about personal checks. The staff is amazing, accommodating and extremely kind. They recognize sensitive times by reaching out with emails and cards after a pets passing. Time and time again, I'm wowed by this place and their attention to their clients needs and situations. Amazing group of people that work here! Beyond the vet aspect, they also have an entire floor of their building dedicated to housing/ boarding cats. I have been coming here since 1977 and I wouldn't go anywhere else, everyone is friendly, very clean, very comfortable and Dr. Bolotin and I became very good friends and he loves all of our cats like they were his own. I' have been going to Just Cats for over 10 years. They take such great care of my two difficult kitties. One of them has had a lot of health issues and Just Cats has always talked me through every procedure, test, medication. They always explain the cost before treating. One of my cats does not like men and they always make sure to have a female vet tech for her visit. They also support a local rescue group which I learned when I took in two semi feral kittens. They put me in touch with the group who ended helping me with the expenses and found a home for them. Just Cats has an adoption center for the rescue group in the back of their store. I love how I am able to go from my appointment and then pick up cat food and other kitty needs. They also have a policy that if your kitty does not like the dry food you can take it back. That's a huge help when you have a picky cat. Anytime I think of moving out of Stamford I get anxiety over having to take my cats to any other vet. Read Less

I wouldn't take my kitty cat anywhere else, you can tell that they truly genuinely love and care about cats, unlike other places in the area that will let you walk out with a sick animal that desperately needs medical attention is if you don't have $800 up front instead of working something out so that the animal can get cared for! There aren't words to describe how amazing Just Cats has been. My cat is eighteen years old and has kidney issues and an attitude problem but the vets at this place have always been gentle and kind with her. The vets are knowledgeable, understanding and so amazing to both me and my cat. Plus, the people who work in the store downstairs have always willingly and extensively answered my questions. I have never had a bad experience dealing with anyone here. On top of all that, as though that weren't enough to make me a life long customer, they are so much cheaper than any other vet I've ever taken my cat to. Monkey is our boy orange tabby . He came to Nick and I when he was about 5 years old . Monkey was displaced when his previous person got a dog. After few years of trying to win his affection enduring many scratches and blatant disregard for our presence he finally became cordial. Without a miss every morning he would jump up the bed and starts meowing to wake us up at the crack of dawn. He would first jump on top of me and starts kneading his paws on my chest . I just swipe him off. He'll then try Nick by gently placing his paw on his cheek. Nick gives in, gets up and give him his breakfast. Last Saturday we took Monkey to see Dr. Lynn at Just Cats ...Monkey's 2nd Doctor check up ever. He was feeling a bit lousy and loosing weight. Nick and I thought he was just feeling anxious seeing boxes and us packing for our move to the new house. His Doctor examined him and did blood works. Dr. Lynn asked for him back to do ultrasound yesterday to confirm his findings based on the blood results. I left Monkey with his Doctor shortly before 12 noon hoping that the test result is nothing serious. Dr. Lynn called shortly thereafter with Bad news...very bad news. There's a tumor in his liver and he's in renal failure. His prognosis was grim. I hate for Monkey to suffer . Dr. Lynn gave me options moving forward. I have to make one of the hardest decision to put my Monkey to sleep yesterday . Nick ,my husband and I went to the vet to say our goodbye to our boy . I brought his favorite blanket and banana toy. The Doctor assured me that my decision is what's best for my boy. I wrapped Monkey in his blanket , kissed him , whispered that I love him to his ear and thank him for the joy he gave me. I held him close as he drifted away. I always thought people are crazy when they cry when loosing a pet. I always say "It's only an animal. Get over it". My boss said that we cried more for our pets than our own family. I will truly miss my Monkey and will forever cherish the time he was with us. And yes ...call me crazy because I just couldn't stop crying . He was a family to me and my husband and letting him go absolutely breaks our hearts.Read Less

I brought my 12 year-old male cat to Just Cats at the end of July 2016. I had made an appointment for him for a wellness exam and grooming. Dr. Clough was just terrific - very professional and kind. She has a keen understanding of cat behavior and she helped to alleviate some of the stress I was feeling because my cat can be difficult at a vet's office - but she took it all in stride, which helped tremendously. Professional and exquisite facility. Equipped with all you could need for your furry companion. My first visit was to euthanize my cat and they got me in as soon as they could by a call made in the same day. I am so glad I took him there. Don't go to this veternarian office my 2 Persians have ringworm and they were told by a dermatologist to give them Lyme and sulpher baths instead they only gave them ringworm baths and $66 a bath for both cats I did 14 baths putting over $1800 in their pockets while they kept my babies sick I am now seeing Dr. Shattuck at high ridge animal hospital and they are working with an organization called OPIN and they r funding my babies treatment bc Just Cats took all my money and was almost gonna have to surrender my babies Gods not sleeping Just Cats ur suppose to help them not put money in ur pockets!!!! I took my Frankie here last September after had a urinary blockage due to the dry food I've been feeding him over the past 2 years... Long story short, the staff at Just Cats was incredible all around. The veterinary who attended my Frankie was sooooo thorough explaining everything that was going on with him, from calling me twice a day to let me know how he was doing, to giving me options to save money since this was an unexpected expensive procedure... I have to add that the place I had brought him originally was a lot more expensive and less thorough, hence why I looked for alternatives and thank God a coworker knew about this place. I haven't had any issues with Frankie since but I will be sure to bring him here from now on to get his yearly check-ups. They also have a store where I get his food every month. I checked their prices compared to online and they are about the same, plus I LOVE the young lady who works at the store. She always has a smile on her face and is eager to help me. I really don't write reviews often, but having just had a wonderful experience at Just Cats, I really wanted to share!I just moved to Stamford with my two kitties, and one had a bit of a skin irritation that I wanted to get checked out asap. I was able to get an appointment right away, and the staff could not have been more helpful! Let me tell you, my cat is a monster at the vet. She hisses, growls, spits, scratches, and bites. She's drawn blood before with other vets. What I appreciated about Just Cats, is that they knew how to handle her. They put on the gloves and was able to (gently) get her under control. After experimenting with several Vet clinics in Stamford, Just Cats is the best care me and my cats have ever received. My childhood cat had come all the way from Hawai'i with us in the move - and we saw Dr. Bolotin. He took excellent care of Mia and I could tell that he just loved her! After she passed away at another emergency vet hospital, he went out of his way to call me and make sure I was doing okay. Dr. Bolotin seemed just as upset as I was!Now I have two new cats - they have been going to Just Cats since they were 9 weeks old. The staff is friendly and welcoming and everyone just loves cats. This comes through in their basic interactions with me and my cats. Their hours are also wonderful for me since I am working, and their expertise on cats is unrivaled. Now they are offering emergency vet services, which is comforting to me if I do have an emergency. The building is clean and well kept, and downstairs they have a store that is cat heaven. You can't get any better than Just Cats!!!  I have two cats, one of which has some complicated medical issues and might not be here today if it weren't for Just Cats - and especially Dr. Gibbons.  Prior my cat's initial evaluation I had his file sent over from the previous vet and also forwarded several pages of notes/observations I had made.  Dr. Gibbons read everything in advance and had prepared almost 2 pages of questions to ask me in an effort to figure out what was going on.  She spent almost an hour talking to me and examining at my cat.  Then she laid out all of the possible "next steps" and was very transparent with regards to how invasive they were, risks, price, etc.  We came up with a plan together and for the first time since adopting my cat, I actually felt optimistic that he could get healthy.  Dr. Gibbons called and emailed frequently to check on my cat's progress and re-evaluate the treatment plan.  It was a very scary and stressful time, so I really appreciated having a vet who I knew truly cared.    We've also seen Drs. Bolotin and Mary in emergency situations (and there have been quite a few).  They were always accommodating in letting us come in right away (the front desk staff had to ask them if my cat could be squeezed into the schedule), and provided the same great care as Dr. Gibbons.  Dr. Bolotin even called to check on my cat on a Sunday, when the office is normally closed.  The techs and staff in the Just Cats Store are also great.  They go out of their way to make sure my cat has his special food, have called manufacturers to check on ingredients, and arranged for compounding labs to make medications.Despite all the poking, prodding, temperature taking, tests, and car rides my cat still wants to snuggle everyone at Just Cats.  He isn't afraid one bit - which really says something about how wonderful this place is.  Even though we now live 45 minutes away, Just Cats will remain the vet practice for both my cats.  And for anyone who is wondering, the prices at Just Cats are very reasonable.  I've unfortunately paid way more at other vets for inferior care.  None of the doctors at Just Cats have ever tried to push us into extra tests/services and all of the quoted costs have been on target. I met Dr. Bollotin in 1993 when I took Chikita my cat to him for a check-up and spaying. I fell in love with how gentle he was with her. He kissed her, and hugged her like she was his own. Needless to say, we stayed with Dr. Bollotin for 10 years. Recently, we moved back to Stamford, and this time, I looked around for Dr. B. because I remembered how nice he was to us years prior. Thankfully, he did not move too far from where he was before. Charlie, my beautiful cat, was in desperate need of medical assistance on a Saturday afternoon. Which is not a very good time to have an emergency because everyone else is closed. Dr. Gibbons took him in and evaluated the gravity of his condition. I will never forget the sincere kindness and gentleness with which we were treated that night. After Charlie's passing, I received a card in the mail from the Just Cats family, reminding me not to forget all the good memories I had with Charlie, and to treasure them. Dr. Gibbons was awesome! She obviously loved cats! She was so nice and sweet to my cat and his owner, me. She listened to my concerns about my cat and showed a lot of compassion and empathy especially when my cat was nervous and skittish. My only complaint is the front desk could need some improvement with the customer service. The vet, assistants were so much warmer and welcoming than the front desk staff. I like their new building, which is much larger. It is clean and nicely maintained. Seating areas were comfortable. It was my first time going to their new building. I did not see any signs that said the vet's office is on the second floor, so I had to ask the store clerk on the first floor where it was. They should have a sign at the door.Other than the two things, I was very happy with the visit. Dr. Gibbons was so sweet! She kept talking to my cat while giving him a few tests.
