Would NOT recommend. About a year ago, our geriatric cat was not eating, lost a pound in a year, was lethargic, had diarrhea, and had a terrible coat. We brought him in to Just Cats to run some tests and get some answers; I even brought a fecal sample with me. When we went to see the doctor, he scoffed at the idea of me bringing a fecal sample (as an licensed veterinary technician myself, I couldn't believe he didn't want to run the fecal. I guess sending it to the lab would be too much work for him) and he told us our cat was dehydrated. He proceeded to give him fluids subcutaneously and said that only option was an appetite stimulant. After the most useless vet visit ever, we brought our cat home and he acted bizarre for hours. He was purring and was manic because of the appetite stimulant, but he wouldn't eat. Hours later, he coughed up the largest hair ball I have ever seen. He's a tiny cat and does not weigh much, so the fact the doctor didn't palpate this giant blockage in his abdomen and tried to stimulate him to eat makes me so angry. So unbelievably dangerous! On top of that, he did not order bloodwork. After the hairball, we brought our cat to a clinic into Norwalk Veterinary Hospital (the best!) and asked for bloodwork. We found out within 24 hours that he has hyperthyroidism (very common in older cats and he was showing all the clinical signs/symptoms) and the doctor at Just Cats hadn't even put that on his differential diagnoses. Our cat is now doing very well and is medicated daily for his hyperthyroidism. I am grateful I knew enough being in the veterinary field to get another opinion and demand bloodwork at another clinic. I feel terrible for anyone else who has this doctor because their cat may not be so lucky.Ask for lab work if you're worried about your kitty! The doctors may not always have your best interests in mind. (I do see that this doctor is not on the website anymore, so I imagine his position was terminated or he left). Will never be back here.
