First of all, we have a vet in Bloomfield; however, we purchased a puppy and live in close proximity to NEV...so we decided to give them a shot with the newbie. Made an appointment for a check up just to evaluate our new puppy that we had for about a week. Puppy is 3 months old. (Dr.) comes in, no introduction of her name, picks up our puppy, squeezes her tummy, looks at her and says she needs a bordetella shot (wasn't ready for her next distemper shot...which we knew). They give her this as a liquid in her nose, tells us to get her tick, worm etc...recommended some products and we decided on Revolution which they said covers EVERYTHING..we later found out it doesn't cover EVERYTHING...Dr. was not in with us 3 minutes...get to front desk and visit was $123. Office visit was $75 and bordetella was $48...we made a follow up appointment for her distemper (2 weeks). I went home and immediately went online to order revolution, online company sent it to their office because it's a prescription. About 8 days went by and we received an email from the online company stating they haven't received the fax from the dr. Office. I called the office and the receptionist states...we sent this, I know just who you are with a negative tone...I simply said well they sent an email that they haven't received, would you mind calling them? Fast forward...after thinking about their lack of service, we decided to send our puppy to our current vet (where our older dog has gone all his life). We called them, they received our paperwork from NEV and we were surprised to learn that they 'gave our puppy HALF a bordetella shot/liquid...is that right?but you charged us full price, never said anything to us about it being a half shot AND more importantly...our 3 month old puppy didn't need a bordetella shot at this time...but, since it was just a office visit they figured they would hit us up for money since they knew it wasn't time for a distemper shot. AND when we took our puppy to our current vet, he checked her ears, mouth, cut her nails for free, groomed some of the hair on her face, gave us tons of pamphlets and info that he went over thoroughly. Our visit was well over an hour...Shame on us for thinking this NEV which looked so nice from the outside would be so low on the inside. State of the art usually means the facility...not necessarily the people.#NotMyMoney#BeingNiceIsFree Read Less
