Went through 3 weeks of back and forth trips for pain management for my older dog (11yrs) who prior to this had no signs of old age or ailments. After doing my own research and reviewing with a new vet to the practice, Dr Olsen, I was told I was throwing darts at a dart board. I was also told that my dog was old and she had hit her life expectancy. For a new vet she didn't seem to have much compassion to want to help or find out what was wrong just that my dog was old and arthritis was to be expected. Took my dog for a second opinion at another practice who immediately knew something was wrong and sent us to an emergency vet hospital where we found out my girl had metastatic cancer and an unusually high heart rate related to this. We had to put her to sleep the next day. My entire vet bill at the emergency vet which included ultrasound, xrays, blood work, ER services, and medication was significantly less then just xrays and blood work at Limestone. They are WAY overpriced. Over the course of 11 years we had seen multiple different vets at this place for various simple issues who seemed to always end up leaving limestone after a few short years ...I wonder why? I would have left sooner had I known how overpriced they were. I didn't seek a second opinion soon enough when my girl was suffering. . Dr Olsen told us it was just arthritis!

After going here for years, i have to say that i've finally transferred to another vet. I find them to be overpriced for one. I spent hundreds on a Friday and put my cat down on the following Monday....
After going here for years, i have to say that i've finally transferred to another vet. I find them to be overpriced for one. I spent hundreds on a Friday and put my cat down on the following Monday. Before the procedure, they required me to pay upfront. They also asked me to pay upfront for another cat that i had to put down a few years back. Putting any animal down is emotionally taxing. When the assistant came in the room asking for my money upfront the second time, i decided then to move on to another vet for my remaining fur babies.

The premiere veterinary hospital serving Northern New Castle County. The Doctors, Vet Techs, and office staff are just fantastic and extremely knowledgeable and most importantly, compassionate. Wherever we search for an area to live in, we research and visit many of the service providers we use most often and have been extremely glad we chose Limestone Veterinary to provide our beloved pets routine care and emergency treatment, when needed.

This veterinary office has the worst service. We have repeatedly be treated rudely. I hope that the management staff will take note of the poor customer service that the front office staff provides. They should understand that they are here for the customers and not the other way around. They could not be more unhelpful. Every interaction has been a painful experience. If they do not like working in this field they should seek another role where they do not need to interact with people.

Never allow these people to care for your animal. Horrible experience. I boarded my dog here last summer for four days. I asked the vet techs to allow him time every day in the dog day care that they offer. This establishment requires a temperament test before the dogs can go into the dog day care part of the vet. I got a phone call from one of the vet techs who stating my dog would not be going into the dog day care because he failed the temperament test. My dog who happens to be a pit mix, has been around other dogs since he was 4 weeks old and lives with an elderly cat. He has been going to dog day care at other establishments since he was 6 months old. This was not the only issue I had with them. When I picked him up from vacation he was so dehydrated he could barely even bark. I brought him home and kept giving him water and waited for him to come back to his normal self (he is 2 years old) After spending 300+ dollars for my dog to stay at what I thought was a reputable location, I was left with my dog being sick and needing IVs.... the staff is also very rude

The grooming spa is excellent here. I wouldn't trust anyone else to pamper my animals. I've checked out other places where it is very rushed and sloppy. Becca is the number one girl there! She is so sweet when greeting my animals. Any request I have, she never has an issue with and always exceeds my expectations. I have a long haired cat and a Aussie pup... not easy cuts to do. The come out so blended and look like a million bucks! They are around the same pricing as anywhere else around the area. Definitely take your animals there and ask for Becca! You won't be disappointed!!

I've been going to limestone vet for a little more than six months. The people who work there are always so nice and we are always greeted with a smile. They take the best care of Thaddeus when we board him. It's nice because the dogs are not put in cages, they have runs instead. We have an almost 7 month old Bernese mountain dog and he absolutely loves coming here. The people who work here are always so helpful and answer my bajillion (ridiculous) questions. The doggy day care which is connected is also amazing and have the best staff!!!

I'm pleased so far with my interactions and service from this practice. My former vet retired and Dr. McIntire was recommended to me. She is perfect for me -- knowledgeable, realistic and empathetic. She seems to really care about her clients (pets and people). The staff members I have met have been pleasant and service oriented. There have been a few glitches and they took care of them right away. I ended up agreeing to a fairly extensive procedure for one of my pets. Dr. McIntire kept me up to date, as did the staff during and after the procedure. My pet came home hours later after her surgery perky and happy. Another vet gave me a first opinion on my pet's needs, but treated me and my pet like we were just another case in a folder. Dr. McIntire gave the same opinion, but it was delivered completely differently. For my pets I need to trust an entire practice. In my experience this far, I trust her and her staff.As a side note, we are also working an issue with another one of my pets. I called with a question and a different vet called me back (not Dr. M). I found him too blunt and clinical. I called him out on it and he adjusted his tone. He would not be my first choice, but I was pleased that he took my feedback, which resulted in a reasonable conversation.

I had a rabbit and came to LVH when she was very sick. They never gave up on her and tried relentlessly to make her better. Most importantly, they understood how much she meant to me and were very supportive through the whole process of her passing. I had been to 3 other veterinary hospitals during the course of my dear bunny's life and they were the only ones who cared about her as if she were their own. Jenny and Dr. Marti are two of the most incredible people I have ever met (Linnsay was pretty awesome too!). After some time, I have opened my heart to a new little kitten and my first act as parent was to bring her to LVH. If you are any reasonable distance away, this is the place to go.

We just moved to the area and had our pug lacerate his paw pad on his morning walk. The staff made it very easy to come in last minute the Friday before a holiday weekend. Everyone was pleasant and friendly and took great care of our pup. Didn't feel rushed and even went over the bill before the procedure. Excellent experience and would recommend this team

We use Limestone for boarding our two dogs, a miniature poodle and a small terrier mix. They let us board them both in the same run and give us a discount on the second dog. The coolest thing is the little report they give at the end of their stay, letting us know how their spirits were, how they behaved, if they ate and drank, etc. Of course they are also a vet hospital which makes us rest easy when we are traveling without our pets. Everyone there is very friendly and super professional.

Dr. MacGregor recently saw our beloved cockapoo, Roxy, through surgery removing her spleen. He diagnosed her tumor, compassionately helped us through all of the decisions on how to proceed, and followed up with amazing care. This very difficult time for our family was handled with such thoughtfulness and professionalism by the entire staff that we cannot thank them enough. Roxy is frolicking around like a puppy!

We have been customers of Limestone for about 3 yrs now. Our 3 yr old and 16 yr old pups usually see Dr MacGregor. A little over a month ago we had to make the tough decision to let our sweet 16 yr old bichon (Koko) go. From the start, Dr MacGregor talked through all of our options and kept Koko's quality of life top of mind. When we came to this decision, he made it bearable by offering to come to our home which was incredibly nice and unexpected. The staff is so nice and I can't say enough great things about them!

Do not take your pets to this vet. They jerked us around for 2 days on my dog. Conflicting reports from both vets and the nurses. They are all about the $$$ here. We use to be satisfied with them, but that was only with check ups and shots. When it comes to something serious they have no clue. They just want to run test after test, tell you one thing and retract it later. No communication between the entire staff. We took our dog to another vet and they found out what was wrong immediately. This place is an absolute joke. No professionalism whatsoever. They just want to take advantage of you. Stay away. McGregor is the worst vet in the state. Save your money and time go somewhere else. I would rate no stars but yelp won't allow that.

We take our two lab/mix dogs to Limestone. We love the staff as we do also. They are extremely welcoming and efficient in their work. Our dogs love going there. We take them to day care there as well....

We take them to day care there as well. They come home and are exhausted and sleep all evening. They seem to be very happy there as we sometimes check in on them through the webcams. I brought my dog here to be groomed. I dropped her off in the morning to unwelcoming staff and described the cut I wanted to the grooming staff. It took them 8+ hours to finish her grooming. When I came to pick her up the grooming area, which is visible when you walk in, was incredibly dirty and in disarray. I had to wait 20 minutes for them to bring me my dog who could see me through the glass door of the grooming area and was visibly upset. The grooming staff never asked me if I was happy with the cut and just handed me the leash and walked away, not a word said. The cut was not what I asked for. When I brought my dog home she immediately drank 2 bowls of water which tells me they did not in any way care for my dog while she was there. They just shoved her in a crate and let her sit there all day. I will never take my dog here again.

I've been coming to this hospital for several years now. My little Lucy and I always love walking in and being greeted by Steph, she is SO friendly and helpful. I can't say enough about the staff. I love the work that Dr. Marti and Dr. John have done for my furry family. They always return calls promptly, and honestly, they just give me that feeling of trust. After years of feeling taken advantage of and not having things explained to me in a manner that I understand, I was so thankful to find these folks at Limestone Vet! Aside from their veterinary services, we've also have great experience with their doggy day care and boarding.These guys care about my animals, period! I didn't think I'd ever find THE vet! If you're looking for a new veterinarian, look no further. Give these guys a chance, you won't be disappointed.

I had a terrible experience at this office today. When going in to say goodbye to our beloved pet who had complications from a surgery yesterday we were approached by an employee to discuss payment before we were able to even see her. While I understand this is a business & payment is of course an issue she was incredibly insensitive. She brought up that her boss was going to kill her for not collecting the remainder of the balance earlier, mind u $2500 had already been paid with no hesitation. Money was no object but I can't even begin to describe the lack of compassion that was shown by this woman. I'm not doubting their ability to care for my pet but the lack of professionalism & compassion shown today made this an even worse experience then I could have ever imagined.

When we moved to Wilmington from New Orleans, the thing I was most nervous about was finding a vet that was like the one we had been going to...we had been taking my pets there my whole life and they were like family. I was more worried about finding the perfect place/people to take care of my little girl Julep. We couldn't have asked for anything better! We now feel like Limestone is apart of our family and cares so much for our pets. Even when we lost our dear Julep, Limestone was there for us just like our vet in New Orleans had been in the past. We love Dr. McKenzie and all of the staff at Limestone!!

Our vet use to work at Windcrest Animal Hospital and moved to this hospital several years ago. We love our vet and decided to follow her to Limestone Veterinary Hospital.We are so pleased with the service from the doctors, the nurses, the receptionists, that we continue to drive over 45 minutes from our home to take our "furkids" there.They are not only knowledgable in their field, they know how to handle people as well. Constant follow up calls when our beagle was in all her surgeries, all our questions answers promtly, if someone didn't know the answer, they found someone that did. They are compassionate people that are in the right line of work. I wouldn't trust my pup or my three cats to anyone else.Yes, they are that good.I wish my primary care doctor was this good!Can't say enough positive things about this facility.

I can't say enough positive things about this vet. The level of caring and understanding from all members of staff is incredible. They explain everything very clearly and make sure the visits are positive and as stress free as possible for both the animals and the owners.

Never allow these people to care for your animal. Horrible experience. I boarded my dog here last summer for four days. I asked the vet techs to allow him time every day in the dog day care that they offer. This establishment requires a temperament test before the dogs can go into the dog day care part of the vet. I got a phone call from one of the vet techs who stating my dog would not be going into the dog day care because he failed the temperament test. My dog who happens to be a pit mix, has been around other dogs since he was 4 weeks old and lives with an elderly cat. He has been going to dog day care at other establishments since he was 6 months old. This was not the only issue I had with them. When I picked him up from vacation he was so dehydrated he could barely even bark. I brought him home and kept giving him water and waited for him to come back to his normal self (he is 2 years old) After spending 300+ dollars for my dog to stay at what I thought was a reputable location, I was left with my dog being sick and needing IVs.... the staff is also very rude

The grooming spa is excellent here. I wouldn't trust anyone else to pamper my animals. I've checked out other places where it is very rushed and sloppy. Becca is the number one girl there! She is so sweet when greeting my animals. Any request I have, she never has an issue with and always exceeds my expectations. I have a long haired cat and a Aussie pup... not easy cuts to do. The come out so blended and look like a million bucks! They are around the same pricing as anywhere else around the area. Definitely take your animals there and ask for Becca! You won't be disappointed!!

I've been going to limestone vet for a little more than six months. The people who work there are always so nice and we are always greeted with a smile. They take the best care of Thaddeus when we board him. It's nice because the dogs are not put in cages, they have runs instead. We have an almost 7 month old Bernese mountain dog and he absolutely loves coming here. The people who work here are always so helpful and answer my bajillion (ridiculous) questions. The doggy day care which is connected is also amazing and have the best staff!!!

I'm pleased so far with my interactions and service from this practice. My former vet retired and Dr. McIntire was recommended to me. She is perfect for me -- knowledgeable, realistic and empathetic. She seems to really care about her clients (pets and people). The staff members I have met have been pleasant and service oriented. There have been a few glitches and they took care of them right away. I ended up agreeing to a fairly extensive procedure for one of my pets. Dr. McIntire kept me up to date, as did the staff during and after the procedure. My pet came home hours later after her surgery perky and happy. Another vet gave me a first opinion on my pet's needs, but treated me and my pet like we were just another case in a folder. Dr. McIntire gave the same opinion, but it was delivered completely differently. For my pets I need to trust an entire practice. In my experience this far, I trust her and her staff.As a side note, we are also working an issue with another one of my pets. I called with a question and a different vet called me back (not Dr. M). I found him too blunt and clinical. I called him out on it and he adjusted his tone. He would not be my first choice, but I was pleased that he took my feedback, which resulted in a reasonable conversation.

I had a rabbit and came to LVH when she was very sick. They never gave up on her and tried relentlessly to make her better. Most importantly, they understood how much she meant to me and were very supportive through the whole process of her passing. I had been to 3 other veterinary hospitals during the course of my dear bunny's life and they were the only ones who cared about her as if she were their own. Jenny and Dr. Marti are two of the most incredible people I have ever met (Linnsay was pretty awesome too!). After some time, I have opened my heart to a new little kitten and my first act as parent was to bring her to LVH. If you are any reasonable distance away, this is the place to go.

We just moved to the area and had our pug lacerate his paw pad on his morning walk. The staff made it very easy to come in last minute the Friday before a holiday weekend. Everyone was pleasant and friendly and took great care of our pup. Didn't feel rushed and even went over the bill before the procedure. Excellent experience and would recommend this team

I have to give huge props to these people. Dr. Mcgregor and Heather were so kind to D and I and treated us like we were the only ones there. They were very sensitive to how I was feeling and got the blood work results so quickly and notified me right away which gave me some piece of mind. And explained everything. They will definitely be my go to guys.

We use Limestone for boarding our two dogs, a miniature poodle and a small terrier mix. They let us board them both in the same run and give us a discount on the second dog. The coolest thing is the little report they give at the end of their stay, letting us know how their spirits were, how they behaved, if they ate and drank, etc. Of course they are also a vet hospital which makes us rest easy when we are traveling without our pets. Everyone there is very friendly and super professional.

Dr. MacGregor recently saw our beloved cockapoo, Roxy, through surgery removing her spleen. He diagnosed her tumor, compassionately helped us through all of the decisions on how to proceed, and followed up with amazing care. This very difficult time for our family was handled with such thoughtfulness and professionalism by the entire staff that we cannot thank them enough. Roxy is frolicking around like a puppy!

We have been customers of Limestone for about 3 yrs now. Our 3 yr old and 16 yr old pups usually see Dr MacGregor. A little over a month ago we had to make the tough decision to let our sweet 16 yr old bichon (Koko) go. From the start, Dr MacGregor talked through all of our options and kept Koko's quality of life top of mind. When we came to this decision, he made it bearable by offering to come to our home which was incredibly nice and unexpected. The staff is so nice and I can't say enough great things about them!

Do not take your pets to this vet. They jerked us around for 2 days on my dog. Conflicting reports from both vets and the nurses. They are all about the $$$ here. We use to be satisfied with them, but that was only with check ups and shots. When it comes to something serious they have no clue. They just want to run test after test, tell you one thing and retract it later. No communication between the entire staff. We took our dog to another vet and they found out what was wrong immediately. This place is an absolute joke. No professionalism whatsoever. They just want to take advantage of you. Stay away. McGregor is the worst vet in the state. Save your money and time go somewhere else. I would rate no stars but yelp won't allow that.

I feel like they're usually pretty realistic about recommending certain meds/ flea and tick meds/ treatments and help me choose what's best for us.

We take our two lab/mix dogs to Limestone. We love the staff as we do also. They are extremely welcoming and efficient in their work. Our dogs love going there. We take them to day care there as well....

We take them to day care there as well. They come home and are exhausted and sleep all evening. They seem to be very happy there as we sometimes check in on them through the webcams. We HIGHLY recommend Limestone.

I brought my dog here to be groomed. I dropped her off in the morning to unwelcoming staff and described the cut I wanted to the grooming staff. It took them 8+ hours to finish her grooming. When I came to pick her up the grooming area, which is visible when you walk in, was incredibly dirty and in disarray. I had to wait 20 minutes for them to bring me my dog who could see me through the glass door of the grooming area and was visibly upset. The grooming staff never asked me if I was happy with the cut and just handed me the leash and walked away, not a word said. The cut was not what I asked for. When I brought my dog home she immediately drank 2 bowls of water which tells me they did not in any way care for my dog while she was there. They just shoved her in a crate and let her sit there all day. I will never take my dog here again.

I've been coming to this hospital for several years now. My little Lucy and I always love walking in and being greeted by Steph, she is SO friendly and helpful. I can't say enough about the staff. I love the work that Dr. Marti and Dr. John have done for my furry family. They always return calls promptly, and honestly, they just give me that feeling of trust. After years of feeling taken advantage of and not having things explained to me in a manner that I understand, I was so thankful to find these folks at Limestone Vet! Aside from their veterinary services, we've also have great experience with their doggy day care and boarding.These guys care about my animals, period! I didn't think I'd ever find THE vet! If you're looking for a new veterinarian, look no further. Give these guys a chance, you won't be disappointed.

I had a terrible experience at this office today. When going in to say goodbye to our beloved pet who had complications from a surgery yesterday we were approached by an employee to discuss payment before we were able to even see her. While I understand this is a business & payment is of course an issue she was incredibly insensitive. She brought up that her boss was going to kill her for not collecting the remainder of the balance earlier, mind u $2500 had already been paid with no hesitation. Money was no object but I can't even begin to describe the lack of compassion that was shown by this woman. I'm not doubting their ability to care for my pet but the lack of professionalism & compassion shown today made this an even worse experience then I could have ever imagined.

When we moved to Wilmington from New Orleans, the thing I was most nervous about was finding a vet that was like the one we had been going to...we had been taking my pets there my whole life and they were like family. I was more worried about finding the perfect place/people to take care of my little girl Julep. We couldn't have asked for anything better! We now feel like Limestone is apart of our family and cares so much for our pets. Even when we lost our dear Julep, Limestone was there for us just like our vet in New Orleans had been in the past. We love Dr. McKenzie and all of the staff at Limestone!!

Our vet use to work at Windcrest Animal Hospital and moved to this hospital several years ago. We love our vet and decided to follow her to Limestone Veterinary Hospital.We are so pleased with the service from the doctors, the nurses, the receptionists, that we continue to drive over 45 minutes from our home to take our "furkids" there.They are not only knowledgable in their field, they know how to handle people as well. Constant follow up calls when our beagle was in all her surgeries, all our questions answers promtly, if someone didn't know the answer, they found someone that did. They are compassionate people that are in the right line of work. I wouldn't trust my pup or my three cats to anyone else.Yes, they are that good.I wish my primary care doctor was this good!Can't say enough positive things about this facility.
