Two weeks ago, I rescued my first dog and would honestly be completely lost if it weren't for the amazing team at Capitol Hill Animal Clinic. I chose them because I live in the neighborhood and believe in supporting local businesses, and was not referred by an existing client. I was able to make an appointment before I even picked up my new dog, and the receptionist, Patricia, was absolutely delightful. She really set the tone for the excellent standard of service I have so quickly come to cherish. The staff are all incredibly friendly and attentive, and have taken exceptionally good care of my pup, they even remember his name every time we come in (which has been several times)! After an appointment last week to remove my dog's neutering stitches (which had been done before I adopted him), today, I discovered previously unseen (and undocumented) stitches in his foot; I called CHAC and not only were they able to see us right away, they removed the additional stitches at no extra charge. This kindness has been demonstrated in every one of my interactions with this wonderful team, even when I call with bizarre, nervous-new-owner questions. They thoughtfully and informatively answer all my questions, and, most importantly, they don't make me feel ridiculous for asking common-sense questions. It's very clear they truly love what they do, and genuinely want to help you be the best pet owner you can be. I saw another review that questioned the fees billed, but I have no such complaint. In fact, at our first appointment I was very pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the cost was, especially because my dog needed a long laundry-list of services. He had a general check-up, multiple stitches removed, a second-round vaccination shot, stool sample analysis, first-time microchip insertion, treatment for an intestinal parasite, and a six month supply of both heartworm and flea/tick medication. All totaled I paid $400, which I found to be very reasonable. And again, CHAC very kindly removed additional stitches free of charge a week later (today), on 20 minutes notice. My dog, Bogart, will be a lifelong client. Thank you so much, Patricia, Mia, Maya, Rachel, Dr. Murphy, and everyone at your wonderful clinic! Read Less
