I just can say they are Unprofessionals! , there is no passion for their career, but yes for how much you have to pay them, you will pay for any step you give into their rooms, They charged me plus 25 dollars for 10 min visit or less after Spending a 1000 dollars for a whole process of the surgery . I took my dog  to them to check and make sure if they really removed the whole tumor bc I had a doubt and yes, they left a small one besides the suture. Of course, vet Brianna never recognized she did a bad job, they did not care about my pocket and the worse, did not care about my dog bc he probably will pass for another risky surgery again. The staff and doctors are amazing with Rabbits! I'm so happy to have found an amazing rabbit doctor in Dr. John. The nurses were kind and informative. Even nice enough to walk us through pricing to make sure we knew what we were getting in and asked us if we had a comfortable zone of pay. Dr. John called me to check in on my rabbit, Rami, after hours and I couldn't be thankful enough to find someone who truly cares about all animals. My cat had a large knot on her leg that was very hard. I called my vet's office and they couldn't get her in that day. I had heard good things about this place, so I thought I would give them a try. They got me an appt right away. All of the staff in there was awesome and extremely caring. Having been going there for approximately five years. They're the only ones I will take my babies to. I will give them a five star rating on all of the services that they offer. Starting from the time you set up the appointment to picking up your baby. A wonderful place. From the moment we walked in as a referral from our Vet to the point we found out what was wrong, to the day she had to have surgery to the present, we have had the outmost caring responses to each and every one of our questions. They treated us absolutely great and our Marley too. They were gentle and nice with her during both visits and handed her back to us, bathe and with a nice scarf around her neck after surgery. Park avenue animal hospital has gone above and beyond for both my animals and myself in the multiple years I've been taking my pets there. I've moved around a lot and have experienced numerous vets and this is the sort of place I'd drive a couple hours to go to if I needed to. Dr. Turgai is our main vet and he is never anything but helpful, attentive to the problem and hard working towards the solution.We went through a euthanasia of a very young cat earlier last year and I can not explain how thankful I am towards Dr. Turgai and how sympathetic he and his staff were during the entire ordeal as Snail had been quite ill his entire life.Dr. Rubinstein and all the rest of their staff have always been fantastic. We seem to be in there fairly constantly due to the poor immune health of our cats and i've never had a poor experience. I would like to RAVE about Park Avenue Animal Hospital and Dr. Rick. They truly know how to make fur mommies and fur babies at home. The staff are always so pleasant and caring to my animals. They keep you informed and make you feel like they actually care and love your pets. We have been going to them for over a year now. I have a 12 year old basset, Frank, and a 5 year old beagle/basset mix-Henry. They've both been seen many times by both Dr. John and Dr. Rick. I can't say enough about these doctors. I had to bring in my Oso because he had a tumor that needed to be removed. I was overjoyed at the price for surgery because I thought it would have been thousands ant not just hundreds! The surgery went GREAT and now my baby boy is back to normal. I even got a phone call from the DR the day after to see how he was doing and she is also going to call me back once the results of the tumor are in. We have been customers of Dr Rick and Park Avenue for the entire time they have been opened. Recently our 14 year old dachshund came down with a bug. I didn't think he would be coming home, but after 48 hours of TLC (and meds!) from Park Avenue he is home and back to normal. Dr. Rick has been taking care of my babies since I moved back to Apopka in 2012. I guess you could loosely call me an animal rescue, I'm not a 501c3 but I spend a lot of my own money helping pets as well as caring for my own brood. I'm up to 4 dogs and 4 cats, failed foster mom!! I've had a ton of interaction with a lot of different veterinary practices over the years and can't say enough about ALL of the vets and support staff at Park Ave. When you find folks that truly care and treat your furbaby like one of their own, you recognize it. I've presented Dr. Rick with a multitude of complicated cases on two of my dogs. He's proven repeatedly to be a knowledgeable authority on complicated orthopedic and skin conditions, finally solving one of my babies medical mysteries where another vet had been taking a different and extremely more costly approach. He's an extremely talented surgeon and isn't afraid to consult with others on more complicated cases...to me that means he doesn't "play God" with my babies. Also the practice has a vet on call after hours and they arm their clients with the number. I have sent them texts after hours with pics of what turned out to be a common ear hematoma and they responded promptly, easing my concerns and saving me a costly trip to the emergency vet. If you're tired of so-so vets taking care of your special pet, don't wait a day longer and get yourself over to Park Avenue Animal Hospital!  I cannot say enough great things about the team here.  We were going to a certain "low cost" provider because we have three Border Collies and had several litters of pups.  Well, don't let cost be your driving factor.  The other place we were going to always had doctors turning over every few months - they were under paid and over worked, and you could tell that they were miserable.  Before that, we were going to one of the major chains that are in the pet store and sell you wellness plans... well, that was just a waste because most things beyond a basic visit and vaccinations were extra charges.  We've found our babies a new home now at Park Ave!  Dr. Turgai is fantastic.  He takes the time to explain everything and really cares about your pet.  Our oldest just had surgery to remove some benign tumors - he had been under anesthesia in the past and always had issues with his heartbeat becoming unstable.  No problem this time!The other great staff there include Emilie and Amber at the front desk (who always finds a way to squeeze me in on short notice) and the Vet Tech Manager, Kathy, who has the biggest heart!  Everyone there is truly a pleasure.  Oh, did I mention cost?  Very reasonable - having spent thousands of dollars on our dogs and puppies over the past 10 years, I can say the prices at P.A.A.H. are comparable and sometimes lower than other vets.  Do yourself a favor and check them out. We LOVE this vet! Our golden has been going there since shortly after they opened (almost 8 years now!)... Friendly staff that have a passion for what they do. The physicians are some of the kindest I've ever met. They take the time to listen and allow me to be apart of the process.... I began using Park Avenue Vets approximately 2 weeks ago.  I have had two very sick cats and Dr. John Turgai and staff have been outstanding.  Almost anytime I have called, weekends or nights, they answer the phone. I had taken one cat to a previous Vet on a couple of occasions over the past 8 months and they could never find anything wrong.  When I finally switched Vets, Dr. John found he has a very large tumor that is inoperable.  He has been great in managing our expectations, consoling me in my "crazy cat lady" phase, and assisting with pain meds.The other cat is hyperthyroid and as it turns out, his medication dosage was much lower than it should have been.  This caused him to stop eating.  Thanks to the Park Avenue staff, he is almost fully recovered in a week's time. My wife and I used to come here frequently when we had our dog and two cats.  The two doctors there are both quite friendly, and really are good with the animals.  During an emergency with our collie dog, they took her right in, ran x-rays, and performed surgery to repair her twisted stomach.  The care that they gave, with the urgency they had to really take care of the problem, was top notch.  During the hardest of times, when our dog had to be put down due to complications with age, they were there to help us through the grief, and really helped to minimize what is always such a hard loss.Recently, we had a hamster that became ill.  They do treat small pets like this, so we brought him down.  They did what they could to help, giving us antibiotics, but the hamster had a kidney disease, and didn't make it.  They were quick with follow up calls to check on us, and did what they could to help even though they probably knew it was a lost cause.The thing that really sets this place apart for me though, is that each time we had a pet die (even the hamster), they sent a card to our house, signed by everyone in the office, with messages from them all as well.  It is the little things like this that help to set veterinarians apart.  It was unexpected, and nobody likes to go through the loss of a pet, but it is nice to know that the people that work there truly care. Simply the Best! I can't put my gratitude in any other way. They deserve more then 5 stars.I came in to the clinic by a friends referral because my 5 year old english bulldog ate an entire cooked chicken and had bloody diarrhea. Intially I took him to Bansfield in ocoee and the low cost vet off hiawasse. Service at those 2 clinics was subpar to say the least and both clinics wanted to cut my boy open and charge over 2000.00. Thankfully I brought him into Park ave and Dr.Trugai and his team were truly amazing. The doctor and his staff really take the time to address all your concerns and they are not there to rip you off, they genuinely care about your pet as much as you do. Dr Trugai said my baby will be fine and even addressed an issue I didn't notice. He is educated,knowledgable , experienced and most importantly genuine. Used Dr. Tugal for our mixed Rottweiler. She had been throwing up and had diarrhea constantly. Took her to see the doc and he put her on antibiotics, not once but at least 3 times - different ones because she was still throwing up and still had direahha, this was over a period of months, my poor dog was getting sicker by the day and getting thinner and thinner mean while the drugs keep getting tossed at us. Finally said enough is enough and took her to an old vet in Mount Dora, that was and still is the greatest of greats. After a few tests she came to the conclusion that there was some thing caught in her intestines a dark mass. After 1 week under new vet care, she is on the road to a quick recovery. It makes me feel ill that I put my dog through so much unnecessary sickness and pain because I thought Dr Tugal knew what he was doing.I am so glad that we finally came to our senses and took her somewhere else.I would have liked to hear " I am sorry I misdiagnosed your dog for so long".But he did not seem to care one-way or the other. We have used this vet for while, although our dogs very rarely have issues (another good thing!) the vet is extremely gentle and caring to our animals, the office is very clean and the staff is professional.  I have used other vets and have recently moved from apopka about 30 min away, but will still drive to use this vet because they are leaps and bounds above any other vet i have been to. on another note - I needed the vet records for a stay at a hotel with my dog, my old vet charged me .50$ per page to fax (obviously because they do not know how to use a computer??)  When i needed the records next time PAAH just emailed me over the file in a matter of minutes. Took my mom's dog to that vet for yearly shots and exam, found a coupon on their site for 10% off. As long as you mention the coupon to them, they'll give you the discounts.Staff was very pleasant, clean and nice place. It was a bit hard to find at first because the sign wasn't big/clear enough.The doctor (I don't remember his name, slim and tall) was really nice and knowledgeable. They made my dog feel like a rock star!!! She got full attention at all time, but she will tell you it was a scary experience for her since it was like the first time getting a physical exam, but all the biscuits later eased her fast!!I'd go there again when I'm in the area. I recently used Park Avenue Pet hospital for their bathing services. I must say that over the phone and in the office the staff was very pleasant. When I booked my bath I was told I would need to bring in vaccination records for my pet (standard) and be in by 9:30am. When I showed up with my dog I was told I would need to purchase a fecal before they would bathe my dog. They said they didn't want to expose other pets to potential worms. Although I understand that, I was troubled by the fact that I had not been made aware of this prior to me showing up to drop my dog off. I also thought it strange that no other groomer (and I have been to several) has ever asked for a fecal. After some back and forth they allowed me to have my vet send my dog's latest fecal results. Funny they didn't just ask for the current record up front but wanted me to buy a NEW one with them. Then on check out they overcharged me, which luckily I caught and they were more than happy to rectify. I know these may have been honest mistakes and all the staff were very nice but I'd keep an eye on your bill when using this vet. Read Less

We have been a client of Dr. Rubinstein for many years and we were so excited when we heard he was opening a new practice in Apopka. We travel all the way from the Waterford Lakes area just so our dogs can receive the best possible care. We know there are hundreds who have followed him to Apopka as well.
