Great service and kind veterinary staff. I brought my dog here after she broke her nail on a Friday evening and the staff took care of her wonderfully. We also bring her to this clinic regularly for her shots and checkups and everyone has been nothing short of helpful and pleasant. The staff will work with you on the prices of services. The environment is open and clean and thoughtfully decorated. This is a great local animal hospital to bring your pet. I was supposed to board my boy, Max, with them for a week while I was going away on work. When I got there to drop him off I realized that, to my surprise, they had neglected to mention that they closed early on Saturdays. The whole reason I was there on a saturday(a day early) was because they had mentioned they'd be closed Sunday... So it's odd that they didn't mention the closing time. I got there about half an hour after closing... The receptionist was still there and didn't even bother coming to the door. She just signaled from behind the desk that they were closed. No f**KS given. It could have been an emergency, she could have at least had the decency to come to the door and either explain the situation or hear me out. I found it pretty odd since I had been there a few days before, checking the place out, and everyone was very nice. Needless to say, I no longer feel comfortable leaving him there. If that's the level of compassion and care shown while I'm present, I can't imagine how he'd be treated (or not treated) while he's there alone. Now, I am left trying to find a place last minute before I have to head out first my work trip on Monday. Read Less

My bad review is only in regards to the Daycare because that is the only service we have used. We dropped off our dog and for some reason he hated it there. We thought it was just a phase or separation anxiety but apparently he rough housed to hard with the staff and they said he was aggressive. They told us not to bring him back until he has had training, we were flabbergasted! We needed to find a place to take care of him quickly and we found Bow Wow. They took him in and none of the behaviors he exhibited with Pet Paradise are there. I know people who personally love Pet Paradise but it was a terrible experience for us. Read Less

The staff greeted us warmly as soon as we arrived. Although my high-energy Jack Russel Terrier misbehaved with loud barking, the staff continued be warm and friendly. The thorough check-up was very helpful, Dr. Ortiz discovered our dog had a heart murmur, something we had not noticed before. I would definitely recommend this pet clinic to anyone who has pets! Pet Paradise is the best veterinary experience we've ever had in our decades of owning both dogs and cats. First, let me say that my dogs have been clients of Dr Ortiz since 2003. She is the best and no one compare to her compassion and treatment of her clients. November 19th was a tough day for me. We had to place our amazing Dezi to sleep and she came into the office feeling sick and not well at all just to honor us with her doing the final task. She treated him since he was 8 weeks old and I am happy that she was there during his last breath. Paradise Animal Hospital is a place full of love and compassion. I have been taking my pets to Dr. Ortiz for 12 years.  She is a wonderful vet that has actually saved the life of one of my babies.  She always treats my babies with respect and dignity.  Her technicians are well trained and also kind and gentle with your pets.  My issue is dealing with the CONSTANT total lack of concern with the receptionist.  I left my 10 year old maltipoo there for boarding for 6 nights.  I took his bed and placed it inside the area where he would be staying.  I was assured by the staff that his bed would be fine.  He has arthritis and needs to sleep in an elevated bed away from the cold concrete floors.  I was assured that if he had any problems that I would get a phone call.  When I picked him up this morning the receptionist said he did not eat for two days and his bed was removed from his area because it was too much trouble to move it every day to clean.  She said she didn't think I needed to be called about any of this.  We also left treats for him which were still in his bag.  Her attitude was that he ate for 4 days and it didn't matter where he slept.  I have previously had problems with her by not giving messages to Dr. Ortiz when I needed to ask a question about medication.  She always makes me wait to be checked out while she is talking o the phone with a friend, eating at her desk or visiting with her friends in the office. Vey happy with my experience today. I was visiting from out of town when my pup got sick. The office staff worked me in to a busy schedule and we were seen that day. Dr. Ortiz was so thorough with her exam and explanations. My dog is 12yrs old and I've never experienced that kind of thought and workup. She is definitely knowledgeable and experienced. Dr. Ortiz is very thorough and takes the time to explain everything.  She clearly loves animals and it shows in how she interacts with them. Her staff is awesome!    Always happy and sweet.  The office is spotless and the prices are very fair!  In fact, more than fair.  My basset needs surgery and they are working with me on payments so I don't have to come up with it all at once.  How awesome is that?!?! A friend referred us to Dr. Ortiz and spoke so highly of her. We scheduled an appointment for our 16 year old cat who has arthritis and joint issues on his back legs among other issues. Our cat not only tolerated the acupuncture treatment but fell asleep. It appeared to be a very calm and peaceful experience for him. Dr. Ortiz had a great energy to her and it was a wonderful experience to watch. The next day we did see improvement which we didn't expect so that was great. Dr. O and her entire staff are simply wonderful! They are patient, kind and always make you feel like you are the only patient they have. My dog came from a rescue and has serious trust issues and hates car rides, typically it takes 3 people to get him in the car- unless of course I say "want to go see Ana?" I've been taking my pets to Dr Ortiz since she was in the old building.  My pets have always gotten great care there.  The Dr and Staff are all caring and friendly.   They always recognize me and whichever critter I'm in for and make a fuss over them.  Most of my pet care has been routine, but when I have had health issues the staff were compassionate and informative.  When I had an emergency with my puppy they got her in immediately and took great care of her. Dr. Anna Ortiz and her staff at Pet Paradise Animal Hospital on 436 in Apopka are the most caring and knowledgeable people!!!! My greyhound rescue group has been served there for more than 2 years and they have treated dozens of our greyhounds. We could not be happier or feel more secure taking our precious babies to them.
