I've been to Piedmont Animal Hospital a total of 3 times. The first 2 times were fine, no complaints. We felt like the doctor and techs were helpful and the prices were okay.
My 3rd experience is the reason for 3 stars. This was one where I had to let one of my babies go. The process was hard, but the doctor and techs were pretty patient and nice. What floored me, though, was the customer service from the receptionists and the lack of communication overall. No one took the time to break down the costs, the timeline for having my pet sent for cremation, anything. I had some special requests, when I returned no one knew anything about them. I had asked the vet tech to save a piece of my cat's fur, the receptionist didn't know anything about that and she said she would ask the vet tech and call me back. This hasn't happened of course, and I'm sure that they didn't save any, and it's obviously too late now to fix something like that. The company that they sent my pet to, Greenbrier, didn't contact me either about my special requests. The end result was me receiving an urn completely different than what I expected, with a name plate I paid extra for and ended up hating. The whole experience, on top of losing my special friend, has just been a huge disappointment. I understand that this is a process that they go through plenty and that it's not necessarily a big deal to them, but it was a huge deal to me and it really hurt my heart how it was handled. Read Less
