We have been taking our boston terrier and bengal cat here since they were little. The entire staff wows us every time we go. They truly care about your pets and you and give you all the options. They do not push expensive unnecessary treatments on you or take advantage of you in your time of worry. Dr. Wheeler is truly amazing at her job. I discovered this place when a neighbor brought her Yorkie here, and might I add she was overly paranoid and protective of her dog, her life revolved around him. So I knew right off the bat the odds where this place was one of the best. After witnessing what I seen and learned, I knew right away if I had a pet this would be the doctor I would want. She is more than a Vet Dr. in my opinion. She is open to questions, she offers suggestions, and walks you through everything. It's not one of those wam bam thank you mam locations. She educates you and watching her with my German Shephard whom is way over protective of my wife, he easily ate out of her hand which took me weeks to get him to do. I was surprised. He took the needle shots like a champ, and left a happy doggy. And that is what makes this place unique in my book. Read Less

I took my two dogs to Sheeler Road Animal Hospital for the first time and was nervous about finding a new Vet. They were Fabulous !! The receptionist was helpful and friendly and informative.  Dr. Niedfeldt took time with my dogs and thoroughly evaluated both of them. She then took time to answer all of my questions about their care and feeding. She wrote down everything for me. All of the doctors at Sheeler Road Animal Hospital are great. They really seem to know what they are doing and they don't seem to push the most expensive treatment options on you. They will offer up all options and let you choose. In addition to the doctors though, the assistance that help while the doctors are examine your pet are great too. Really rude office staff- if you mention anything about being on a fixed income and need a payment plan... oh and if you have a child with special needs make sure to have someone watch them at home bc god forbid they have a melt down then the front office staff "might need to bring ear plugs" Won't be back after that comment even though the doctors seemed okay. I have been taking my dogs to Sheeler Rd for almost ten years. We have been through every possible scenario together from routine check-ups to life threatening conditions. The staff and vets have always been professional, honest and accommodating. Dr. Niedfeldt has really become a trusted member of our family. She has consulted on my dog's health while away on vacation, returned calls well after hours and consistently offers sound, reasonable treatment plans. Dr. Wayne Lundberg is the best! During a wellness exam on my 10 y/o Australian Shepherd (Blue Merle ), the doctor palpated a mass on his kidney on Wednesday . Friday he had surgery to remove the mass and kidney & a growth below his Left ear. Saturday I picked Sly, his happy self, up. He acted his normal self. Waiting on biopsy and culture reports. I will never take my animals anywhere else. Dr.Niedfeldt and Wheeler are the best in their field and they make us animal parents feel like they care and love our dogs. I love Jennifer she gives my Wooga bear love like she was her own. My family has used this facility for MANY years...They are great! Dr. Feldman is my favorite, but the other vets are good too, there. There prices are similar to other comparable vets...the staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Feldman has even called me personally when I was on vacation to talk about my very ill cat they were caring for...he was going to go buy snow crab to get her to eat, if he had to... My family has been bring our pets here since I was 6. Throughout the years I have seen each Veterinarian and love them all. The nursing staff are great! I got married and moved out to into Polk county a few years ago, but still drive 45+ miles to bring my pets here. I have never felt pushed into any procedure or medication, and feel all options are fully explained. I always recommend these veterinarians and the office staff to all my friends who have pets. I used to go to this vet to buy my working K9's prescription food. My regular vet is so awesome I drive 45 minutes to get to him for check-ups but this place is close to home and carries the food I need. I had been buying my food here for 6-8 months when things went south. I was about to buy my food, like always, when some office manager came out and started asking questions about my business procurement card I use to purchase the food. Let me say that I was in uniform, with my work vehicle, buying dog food for my work K9 and he still had the nerve to question me about being tax exempt. I had a copy of my tax exempt form but that wasn't enough. He actually said he'd need a written letter from my employer saying I was authorized to buy the food. He actually said, "How do I know your not going out and buying Wendy's with the card?" WHAT?!?!? This guy obviously had no idea how tax exemption and procurement card purchases work. What does he care what I buy? That's my employer's job to worry about that! I have used my card for work all over Central Florida with zero issues. After being insulted like this I never returned. I found a vet even closer to home that is more than happy to sell me my prescription food. Read Less

I took my dogs here for about two years, upon the recommendation of a friend who also uses this vet. I don't have any complaints about the service received here. I stopped going because I moved and wanted to find a vet closer to my new home. Truthfully, I would've made the drive if I loved this office, but I can't say I found the staff, including the vets, overly impressive. Perhaps I was spoiled by my previous vet in Jacksonville. He was so attentive and made it a point to address both dogs, even if only one was there for an appointment. I think they are competent and do their job, but I didn't get that same vibe here.
