Dr. Green was out today and Rigby was seen by a substitute vet (I guess while he is on vacation). I have to say I was very impressed! Have taken our pets here for 27 years. Currently we have a big, loving, 127# German shepherd, but we have had many dogs and a cat over the years. Dr. Green and his staff have always been accessible, professional and realistic in their assessments and treatment. Our daughter still drives her pets here from Gainesville, due to the confidence she has in them and their more reasonable cost. We would happily recommend this clinic to others.Read Less

Dr.Bednick is truly wonderful! We take our 4 month old Great Dane here and the staff are absolutely wonderful! Dr. Green has been our animals doc for many many years. I wouldn't trust anyone else with their care. He takes great care of your pet and your wallet. They make sure everything they do you know how much it is going to cost. The wonderful thing is they give free nail trims to all their animals. All you do is bring them in and it's free. We had 2 animals that passed from old age and we used them to cremate them both. The  care and understanding was so appreciated. We got our pets ashes back in a beautiful box with a cast made of his paw print and a locket of his hair. I have my beloved pets with me forever now. I have been taking our English Cocker Murphy to Atlantic East since we brought her home. Dr. Bendick and the staff have taken exceptional care of Murphy. Recently I brought Murphy in for her annual shots and I brought my 8 month old son who was home sick with me. During the visit he became ill and showed us all how bad his stomach felt. Dr. Bendick and the staff weren't phased at all and helped me clean up and get my son and Murphy out to my truck. Best vet team in Jacksonville. If you are looking for a vet office, look no further! I just moved here a week ago and brought my Pumpkin here after she was not acting like herself. The staff there was so helpful with everything it made me feel comfortable leaving my baby there for blood work. I am so thankful I found such a great vet and after some testing I found out my cat has to take medicine for her thyroid and now she is back to normal and doing great. It's really too bad that I had an awful experience, but I did. Today, was my second visit to the clinic and will definitely be my last. In my previous visits, I had discussed with the technicians that I was on a budget and to please discuss everything with me. During this visit, for basically the same problem as before, the vet (an older white male) told the tech to take her back for a shave and that he would look at her. He did not discuss with me the $30 antibiotic shot he gave her. He actually did not inform me at all. I found out at the end when she was ringing me up. I tried to talk to her, but she said, he won't take it off. Finally, I talked to him and he preceded to tell me, that "budgets" were simply not a problem for the other 95% of his clientele. His argument was at first that "if his car needed spark plugs.." then he trailed off because he knew that argument wouldn't stand. He tried another one, saying if you went to the doctor because you were sick, you wouldn't go over every charge. At that point, I said, "Insurance, makes a difference", but eventually conceded and said, I will pay the bill and no longer come back here. He asked what I would like him to do, and I said quiet simply, take care of the $30 charge. But, then he replied with another excuse, of how it's my fault. I finally left and he said, I was going to take care of it, but not with your attitude. It's been a while since, I've dealt with someone that rude and inconsiderate of other people. The folks over at Atlantic East Animal Clinic couldn't be nicer or more professional.  My sisters dog got very sick and we couldn't figure out if her Cushing's was getting worse or what.  My sister had had a disagreement with her long vet and was on the look out for a new one when Sadie decided to go downhill.  They got her in ASAP and did something amazing, they didn't run a whole panel of blood work right away!  They followed their "gut" and decided to do x-rays first.  Low and behold the damn dog had bladder stones, BIG bladder stones!  Got her into surgery the next day and I swear that old girl looks and moves like she is 3 years younger.  Mmmmm......  wonder what they could do for me?  I will have say that they probably just converted a whole family.
