I always tell people who ask me about the vet I use that" if you want a vet that cares about your pet and would be a great animal activist, to see him" He is there for the animals, not the money. Which is so nice he has even kicked people to the curb for over breading their pet. If he feels like u are not treating your pet good and over breading them or any other issues that they could be doing that puts their pet in harms way, he will consul them on how to do the right thing or what not to do. If they do not listen to him and continue to put the pet on harms way he will drop them as a patient Which is A plus in my book. My theory is my vet.has to care about the animals, actually care. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Coral Reef Animal Hospital and Dr. Langford. He helped my puppy girl Roxy so much last year when she had a liver tumor. So of course I wouldn't take my new puppy Simba to anyone but him!Simba is a rescue and has some trust issues with people. But Dr. Langford and his staff knew how to approach him. He initially growled at both Dr. Langford and vet tech but by the time we left the office he was wagging his tail.Simba received one of his courses of puppy vaccinations, a complimentary dose of heartworm medication that will last 30 days and a heart worm test. This was Simba's first trip to Dr. Langford's office.Dr. Langford gave me the names of two reputable puppy schools in the area he suggested which is great because we are definitely taking puppy classes.We will see Dr. Langford and his staff in 3 weeks for Simba's next dose of vaccinations. Been here almost 20 years ,,, think staff very friendly,,, after my dog in there for kidney failure for 3 days getting ivs the vet kept telling me my dog was a he after monitoring my dog for 3 days and being the primary that for this dog all her life still does not know that he is really a female.. Dr. Langford is extremely knowledgeable and very confident in his work. He just makes it look easy. We took our dog, Chance, in for a couple of reasons after being referred from River Regional. Chance has had some odd issues that I expect Dr. Langford doesn't deal with usually, but he can still identify what the issue is, correctly, and give us a break down of what's going on with him. I love how comfortable he is with Chance and how quickly and easily he does his work. It's like he's done it all a thousand times. He also offers a military discount as he, himself, is a veteran. This office is not well organized and does not communicate well with clients. When treating for an ongoing condition for my dog, every vet in the practice had a different opinion and subjected my dog to some very controversial treatments that worsened her condition. This has happened on multiple occasions with various issues. Scary to think none of the vets can agree on what the other vet In their office recommends for treatment. When returning for a follow-up visit for the condition, they then tried to charge for a full visit because the medication they prescribed that was in question did not work. We moved to this area a little over three years ago, and I was nervous to find a new vet, as I get very anxious when it comes to who I trust with my dogs. They are my babies. I tried two other vets in the area first, and the office staff was off putting. I tried Coral Reef for the first time during an emergency when my dog ate some grass that the landlord sprayed with chemicals. She was very sick. The staff was very nice, the vet knows his stuff and is very informative, fixed her right up. I've brought my chow mix in for her separation anxiety, and he handled her very well, she actually behaved for him, which she will not do for just any stranger. They saved my cat after he was attacked by a neighbor's dog, they were so good to him, the staff was very nice and patient with me while I struggled to keep from freaking out, they fixed him up real good and he is healthy as a horse now! I have been going to Coral reef for almost 15 years,.the staff has always been extremely kind, over the years I have had several pets and any time that I needed help Doctor Langford has always been great. He is so friendly with our pets and very knowledgable. We have had some tradgies and he has always seen it thru. Never a doubt who we will always use for vet care. His wife is very kind too. We were recommended by 2 friends to this office. First, it was a little tricky to get to the office because the building doesn't have a sign. There was a sign on the side of the road . But if your looking for a sign attach to the building there isn't! Lol. Once we stepped in. The office didn't smell like an Animal place. The office seems very nice and organized. Staffs were helpful as well. Our appointment was on time. No delay getting in and outDr.langly was friendly and explain out pup conditions in layman's term . So a very realistic kinda guy. He resemble the actor from Ranch on Netflix. LolWe went to a different vet prior and this place had cheaper pricing and overall better atomsphere. They also do laser neutering for your pets every Thursday! Totally recommend coming here. We drove  20 minutes to get to the office but plan on keeping this our primary place for our puppy. We've been taking our cats to Dr. Langford for over 18 years and have always received excellent care. Dr. Langford is obviously a very caring person, and I've never felt pressured into services. The fact that all of our cats lived such long lives is a testament to the care received at Coral Reef. Tatiana is the most loving and caring person I've ever encountered for my pets. Once when we were across country on vacation and my diabetic cat got severely sick from the stress, Tatiana took personal care of him, even coming in after hours and on the weekend to comfort him. Took a very old small (15) pomeranian to this place and they did an emergency surgery for a tennis ball size tumor in the dog's abdomen. He should never have had the operation being so old. They didn't keep the dog over night as they don't have the facilities for that. Then, why do the operation? They should have done the humane thing and laid the little guy to rest. Took the dog home, as he came out of the drugs, he started screaming in pain and died shortly afterwards. We should have been advised that the operation would have been too much for his age. They charged over $1000. his ordeal. The money isn't an issue, but letting him die in extreme pain is uncalled for. Read Less

Mrs. Dieckmann, You brought your pet to us because he was vomiting and did not want to eat, also you wanted us to check your pets neuter incision THIS SURGICAL PROCEDURE WAS DONE AT ANOTHER HOSPITAL, NOT AT OUR FACILITY- our veterinarian prescribed medication for the infection and treated your pet for vomiting. You, Mrs. Dieckmann, called us later in the afternoon telling us that a friend of your or a family member works at another animal hospital and she recommended you to apply warm compresses on the incision, later that evening you called us again letting us know that the incision looked opened and some blood was coming out, WE ASKED YOU TO BRING YOUR PET IMMEDIATELY, we were waiting for you but around 5:30pm and because you still did not show up (we close at 6pm), we called you and you told us that YOU DECIDED NOT TO BRING YOUR PET, you told us that YOU WERE GOING TO MONITOR your pet and give us a call the next morning. The next morning, we did not have any phone call from you so we called you and you told us about your ER visit, later that day you came to our office to pick up more medication for your pet. Mrs. Dieckman, you are entitled to your own opinions and you can aired on any website, you can tell stories in the way you think they happened, on the other side, it is the truth and our love for animals which motivates us, at Coral Reef Animal Hospital, to do our best every day, it is the way we conduct ourselves. I love Dr. Langford and his staff.  When you go there he explains everything in layman's terms so that people understand. He treats your pets like his own.  He isn't the cheapest place in town but I am very satisfied with the care that my critters get from them.  They are open until 6, and have Saturday hours. I called this office to get an appoint for Pumpkin and when I got there I had to leave, the place smelled like urine, most likely from the cats they have running around. Seems to me they need to learn how to clean. They were so rude I could not believe it when I said something about the smell. Luckily they are not the only vet near me.
