Open at 7 am. But don't show up at 7 and try to explain what is wrong with your pet and why you came in. No doctor until 8 means you can't tell office attendants what your came in for. Lack of patience or compassion for a medical facility. The women at front desk was very short and rude for a person in customer service. We were cut off three times when trying to explain what was wrong with our dog? She just kept repeating "there's no doctor in until 8". I'm not sure why that meant we couldn't check in and give details of why we were there? Very odd approach for the person greeting your customers. Read Less

Waiting time has never been very long. Never need an appointment & open 6 days a week. Staff is very courteous, helpful, friendly, & knowledgeable. The two D.V.M's Dr. Kristin Heatherly & Dr. Patricia Futoma I use are fantastic. They have been excellent with my dog "KEYSIE". Helping with what ever her problems or concerns were. The techs/assistants were also informative & very caring with "KEYSIE ". Plus, the staff out front takes the time to speak with you & gets to know you. Not only as the dogs owner, but as a friend. I would highly recommend all of them as they are a great asset to the community. I've been there multiple times for "KEYSIES" concerns & regular check-ups & always a nice & pleasant experience. Thank you Bluffs! As out of town visitors, we appreciated you seeing our 12 year old mixed rat terrier with diarrhea issues without an appointment. Everyone was so kind and efficient. The doctor examined her and expressed her glands without traumatizing her and gave us a prescription that's helped her get back to normal. I LOVE this place! I am so happy I chose bluffs animal hospital to care for my puppy! I was a new client who walked in with my very sick 11 week old puppy that I had only adopted 3 days prior. Great friendly staff. Fantastic vets, mostly been dealing with Kristin Heatherly very competent and calm. They are all however very knowledgeable and do their utmost to take care of my furry babies and take time to share and explain to me what is happening.
