I absolutely love Boca Vet Clinic!  All the vets, vet techs and front desk staff are kind, caring, professional and they take exceptional care of my 12 year old shih tzu named Aston Martin who has Addison's Disease and my 13 year old cat, Tinker Bell, who is undergoing chemo for cancer.  The best part about Boca Vet Clinic, however, is doggie daycare!!!! Going to doggie daycare has enriched Aston's life tremendously and he truly loves going to daycare everyday!  He absolutely loves all the daycare staff.  Tess, Andrea, Ericka, Emily, Crystal and Adam are the best and every morning he cannot wait to see them!  They are very attentive to his needs and they make sure he eats lunch and he goes outside at least 4 times a day.  Doggie daycare is the best thing I've ever done for my dog.  I trust Tess, Andrea, Ericka, Emily, Crystal, and Adam completely and would never take him anywhere else! Emily and Ayla are about as rude and unprofessional as you can get and the manager, Nicole, blindly believes them. Dr. Bello is lovely but Dr. Hack lied about the treatment plan and will do anything to get your business it seems. Initially I thought this was a wonderful, caring group but now I see their true colors. The employees lie like rugs and Dr. Hack does nothing about it. I asked to speak with her but Nicole won't allow it? What kind of manager does this sort of thing? Only a manager who knows she's lying.  Despite agreeing with me about not over vaccinating, they insisted on over vaccinating and just seem to want your money. If you disagree with them or claim that employees are rude and condescending, which they are, they will claim it's you. Their mentality is shocking and only hurts them in the long run. Others have made similar comments about their attitude so I guess I shouldn't be shocked at this point.  I would go elsewhere. They're only out for one thing! Read Less

What can I say. Let's start by saying this is the only place I will take my pooch. The only place I will call for an emergency. The only place that I will recommend to friends and family. The amount of attention my boy gets when he goes there is on a whole other level. He's welcomed with open arms. And has become the ambassador of the clinic because of his numerous visits this past year. More recently, cancer. Which was recognized right away by Dr. West. Who is by far the best Veterinarian my boy has ever had. With her guidance, love and support of her team we defeated cancer in less than a month. My buddy has a new lease on life. This place is, without a doubt, so far ahead of any other vet that I've ever taken my dog that I'm not even sure how to say it.  My dog came in this spring for a torn ligament and Dr. West and Dr. Hack handled it (and handled me) as well as anyone could ask.  They talked me through my options, surgical and financial, and helped me make sure that I was making the right decision.  I eventually wound up getting her leg operated on, and was confident I was doing the right thing; there was one minor complication with her recovery and Dr. Hack was right there to help her out and help me get my mind at ease.A few weeks ago when my dog got diagnosed with a sarcoma, Dr. West was absolutely amazing.  She was extremely understanding and patient as I cried like a baby in the exam room and very thoroughly walked me through all of my options.  She pulled some strings and got me an appointment (two days after the diagnosis) with the same oncologist she uses for her dogs, a gesture that is so far above and beyond what anyone could ever expect.  She amputated my baby's leg with Dr. Bello this weekend and called me several times throughout the day to keep me updated and took fantastic care of the dog.I'm not sure how the saga with my dog's illness is going to play out, but it gives me a lot of comfort to know that she's going to be in such good hands.  As long as I'm living in South Florida, there is no other vet I will ever take an animal to, this place is absolutely the best. To begin, we loveee Dr Reum! Our pet family  have been going to her for years. She is thorough, super intelligent, detail oriented, and awesome at explaining the pathophysiology of what's going on with your furbaby. She has called us back directly several times just to check and see how are dogs were doing and/or answer any questions. Just a great person, can't say enough about her. She's a 5/5, no questions.The reception staff used to be awesome! Loved the girls, always sweet and helpful. But my last few interactions over the phone have been awful frustrating. For instance, I had called and spoke with reception asking for an anti anxiety med for my dog for the 4th of July so the staff member said she put it in the Dr's queue as a note. I never heard back to see if it was approved or filled so my husband popped in a few days later to see what the status was and the person at the front desk told him it had been ready for days. A call would have been helpful letting us know it had been filled.I went to give the med to my dog and noticed a pain med had been prescribed instead of an anti-anxiety like the time prior. So I called just to make sure the right med had been ordered and  dispensed. I had asked for Dr Reum but she was off. I asked if another Dr on staff could just check on it and the reception staff member told me the Dr prescribed it so it's correct & safe. Working in health care, med errors are a huge risk and I felt that really wasn't an educated response to my concern. I did end up pushing for a call back from another available md as they were closed for the 4th and didn't want to give my 5lb dog with cardiac issues the wrong med. The receptionist stated she would make a note but I wasn't guaranteed a call. I did receive a call that evening with an explanation of how that medication worked and that it was prescribed because it was safer on her heart than an anxiolytic since her cardiac condition had advanced, and I was very grateful for the info and knowledge behind it. But it should not have been so difficult to get an explanation and the brush off of your vet ordered it, it's safe really irritated me.I definitely highly recommend Dr Reum and we have also had good experiences with Dr Hack as well. I do hope the attitude changes behind the reception staff because it's just a bummer to deal with and negatively affects the office experience. And i don't want to take away from all of the reception staff because they still have some excellent team members, just these last few calls have been with someone not up to their old standard.Yeesh, I'm new to yelping, sorry for the longest review ever. I can not say enough about this amazing Vet!!!! I am a first time dog mom to an amazing little Pomsky. I signed up for a wellness plan for him at another vet (in the same plaza) which was a big mistake, but I didn't know any better at the time. Regardless, he needed his retained baby teeth removed and the place I signed up for the wellness plan with was outrageously priced even with the "discounts" I supposedly get there. I decided to get a quote at Boca Vet and am so glad I did. It was less than half the price of my original vet!!! Not only that they have an amazing staff! A couple stories of my experience: My poor guy had an allergic reaction to something on the way home from him getting post op blood work. I brought him to Boca Vet three times that day and they were so gracious, took great care of him and didn't try to over charge me. They actually didn't even charge me for the visits, only for a couple shots that came to $40. (This would likely be hundreds at the other place). Fast forward to his surgery, he ended up having a little swelling that I was concerned with. They saw him right away even though they were pretty busy when I brought him. They didn't even charge me for any of the meds they sent us home with related to the surgery or the swelling after. I couldn't believe it was so easy and inexpensive. Another incident that I thought was stellar, my pup had an accident on the way in to be checked for his swelling. The girl at the front came outside and offered to help me clean him up. I am basically writing all this as a learning lesson for anyone who might be looking for a vet and trying to decide where to go. I want to help people not make the same mistake I did. The other vet I was going to over charged me for every. single. thing. they also only have one Doctor available at any given time, so forget emergencies. They wouldn't have been able to see him right away for anything. I even compared the cost of preventatives there to Boca Vet and they are $30 more, and with the imaginary discount, they are still $10 more. I don't know why anyone would take their babies anywhere else, other than not knowing better. The doctors at Boca Veterinary Clinic very caring, knowledgeable, eager to educate and the vet is reasonably priced. I have only been going there about a week (for this one procedure) and I am already impressed with the level of care and service they provide. I absolutely recommend Boca Veterinary Clinic!!!! This is the vet for me. They are also closer to us which is great, we have a vet that is on Tamarac but they don't have the extended hours and the weekend hours like BVC. I am so blessed that I had that conversation with my colleague because we needed a good vet that could help our baby when he ate something he shouldn't have. We snuck into a Sunday appointment since it was indeed an emergency and they got us in without question. We originally saw Dr. Bello who is knowledgeable as well as empathetic which is exactly what you need in these situations. They did their tests and we went to lunch and came back to find he would need surgery the next day. They kept him overnight and after his surgery kept him overnight again with a nurse who stayed in contact with Bello through the night making sure he was ok. During his time there and after his surgery, they were in contact with us everyday keeping our minds and hearts at rest while he was away and when he came home. Please use caution at this vet and please get a second opinion if your gut says so!I found Boca Vet Clinic on Yelp and went due to the good reviews.  I took my dog in for skin hot spots.  There was one on my lab's cheek that looked very concerning. The Boca Vet Clinic proscribed a powder and stated that the sore could be due to a bad molar causing her to scratch. They suggested that the molar should be extracted.  A week and a half later, I returned for a follow up. I thought she was healing. The vet said that she was not and needed to have a biopsy done of her cheek for fear of ringworm or other issues.  This would be done while she was awake and require to cut out part of the area and stitch her up. I was shocked but very concerned for my dog.  Then the quote came back at about $950. I scheduled if for the next day.Once I got home, I realized this felt wrong as it appeared to be healing to me.  So at my friends advise, I canceled the procedure and scheduled an appointment with Calusa. Calusa took one look at my dog and told me her cheek was healing nicely, it's was due to fleas and her being in the pool so much and gave me a treatment plan to get it fixed.  My dog healed right up away. No biopsy, no stitches and new recovery and no $950.  Oh and by the way the bad tooth...just tarter build up...she's fine. Calusa is now my dog's vet.Please do your homework...I had to make time for a second opinion but it was so worth it. Read Less

I bring both my cats to Boca Vet Clinic. My cat was having asthma breathing problems and my other vet couldn’t figure out what was going on, said I needed to pay lots of $ for specialist, Dr Hack was able to find the problem and start a treatment plan without spending tons of money on expensive tests. Cats doing much better now. She cares about her patients and is always there for them, even after hours. Staff is all nice, also saw Dr Chouster and he was very nice, gentle and knowledgeable. I just want to let everyone know how special everyone at BVC is. A week ago from today was very hard for me and Dr. Reum, Louise, Matt, Erin, Christina, Halle, Ayla and everyone there made it a little less hard and more comforting. It's not going to be easy for a little while but Roxy's battle is over and she's resting in paradise. Thank you for having such wonderful people in the building and their love and support shows. My boxer lived a long beautiful 15 years and Dr. Reum was there for us when we needed her. All the doctors are amazing and are all special to our family but Dr. Reum knew Roxy from her younger days and that's why I needed her. Everyone is genuine and knowledgeable and always looking into the best interest of your pets. They work with pet angel for memorial services and I received my pets ashes and keepsakes in less than a week. The entire staff is extraordinary. We rescued an older dog a few months ago and they have helped us nurse him back to perfect health. Beyond exceptional care for our puppies.  The staff is accommodating, allows last-minute changes to visit schedules, has ALL the medication ready on-hand, their own X-Ray, has MULTIPLE full-time vet staff, is VERY CLEAN, and my little ones are not afraid to go back there.One sunday afternoon, our 7 month-old King Charles, who was having a little coughing-fit, crawled up on my chest and started crying. A cry of pain.  I knew we had to find a vet FAST.After about a dozen phone calls, Boca Veterinary Clinic gave us the only answer we needed, bring-him-in-now!It was late and the staff did all the lab-work, checked him out, took X-rays, started a culture and hydrated our little boy.  Diagnosis - some type of Pneumonia... treatable but deadly at this age.  We caught it just in time.The love and affection the ENTIRE staff has for their clients, their patients and their business is beyond par.  Over the follow-up period of the last 4 weeks, we have had occasion to meet 3 of the attending Vets, and all of them come into the room INFORMED of our case, INFORMED of the decisions we as owners have to make and CARING for the case they have at hand.Never have I felt rushed, or cheated, or abused while in such a vulnerable and critical situation.I will admit the price is not cheap, but here is not a place you get a bargain, the Boca Veterinary Clinic is a place you get compassionate care, and results.Thank you for saving our little boy. What is worse than a sick pet? Having a sick pet over a weekend or holiday, feeling hopeless and afraid. Our cat, Diesel, got very sick on Sunday afternoon. We weren't sure what was wrong but we could tell he wasn't acting his usual. We rushed him to an emergency clinic to find he had urinary obstruction. Apparently, this is normal in male cats and happens more often than not. In an emergency situation, clinics over charge and do not offer the best care. Thank god our vet was open bright and early on Labor Day! We did what we had to do to get him through the night until we could take him to our usual vet at 7:30am. Boca Veterinary is amazing! They were ready and awaiting our arrival with open arms. The level of care is beyond belief. They truly provide amazing care at an affordable cost. The best part about all of this whole situation was the constant updates we got. Those phone calls mean the world to a worried fur parent. The last few days have been hard without him, but we knew he was in the best care around town, and now he is back home, doing better every minute. I brought my cat into Boca Veterinary Clinic for the first time this past weekend. We saw Dr. Chouster. We had a really great experience overall. The front desk staff, especially Crystal, was very welcoming and checked us in quickly. Both the tech and Dr Chouster spent a lot of time with us and explained everything they were doing. They also made a recommendation for care but also gave us options. I think Dr. Chouster is new to the practice, but he was very knowledgeable and kind. Clearly about the money and doesn't really care about the well being of animals . My cat became ill on Saturday night.  Luckily, Boca Veterinary Clinic has hours on Sunday. Though I had not been there before, they took me right away. Every person I encountered was wonderful, very warm and supportive. I was very impressed with  Dr. West and thought she was excellent. Unorganized, unethical and uncaring.  Multiple times they failed to take my cat's blood pressure despite the fact that she is on blood pressure meds and despite my request.  Multiple times they filled prescriptions with wrong dosages, incorrect needles and tablets instead of liquids.  Front desk staff will argue with you when you tell them something is not correct as opposed to checking with your vet.  Management and specifically Dr. Hack does nothing but make excuses for her employees when mistakes are made.With our terminally ill cat having just weeks left, Dr. Hack started a new medication that needed to be monitored closely however the instructions on the bottle stated 7 times more than the correct dosage (3 times daily vs 3 times weekly).  When I discovered this was an error and expressed my concern, they refused to treat her.  Then they waited 4 days to get her patient chart to me causing an unnecessary gap in monitoring her meds.  AVMA ethics require a vet to continue to provide care during the transition of care to another vet if the patient has an ongoing medical condition however Dr. Hack and Boca Veterinary Clinic "elected to end all services effective immediately" upon learning that I was considering moving her care due to the many mistakes they had made. Sitting here with my dog tonight I can't help but think about how grateful I am for Dr. Reum and all the veterinarians and employees at Boca Vet Clinic. For the last week and a half we've been running back and forth to the vet because my 26-pound poodle was mauled by a pit bull last Tuesday. He had to have stitches and sedation and had a sore back and then managed to rip open his stitches this evening. A simple call in the car on the way there to let the staff know we were coming in was all it took--they took Happy back immediately each time.It's wonderful to go to a vet's office where there are so many people working at once. There is always at least two people at the front desk and plenty of vet techs to make sure all are taken care of at once. Considering the fact that this office also offers grooming and doggy day care--that's pretty incredible.We used to go to Banfield and always felt like we needed to come home and jump in the shower afterwards because the place was never clean. Today I saw a mother whose toddler was playing on the floor. Not something you'd normally see at a vets office! But this place is spotless. I am ...well, I'm probably unhealthily attached to my dog. So it's heart breaking to see him injured and even worse when it's bad enough that he has to stay at the office for hours at a time. But I know that Happy is safe and cared for here--not just shoved in a cage and forgotten about. When he had his first set of stitches for the attack the vet techs and the vet called throughout the day with updates. This was so comforting and even though I was ridden with anxiety, knowing that the team around him truly cared about making him comfortable made me comfortable.I know vets are expensive and if you're looking for cheap veterinary care--well, I can tell you I went down that road at Banfield and I am grateful to empty my wallet at their front desk when I take home a happy, healthy, well-cared for puppy. I am very pleased with how my dog was and is treated by the people in this office.He tore his ACL and needed surgery. I was very nervous about this procedure and how he would be  handle it, and how I would handle it too. They showed true concern and compassion for my dog.  They called to check on him and allowed me to bring him in to be checked out a couple of times after the surgery. I went to this clinic last week as an emergency and can I tell you how amazing they are! They doctor I saw (forgive me I'm bad at names) was amazing. Knowledgeable, precessional, clean practice. When I walked in I was kindly greater by a blond receptionist who was the sweetest. She asked me what my pets name was and they called back for a nurse to come up. The gentleman headed to the back with my baby while the blond receptionist brought me to a room. I was very worked up and worried but she assured me I was in good ands and didn't leave the room until I felt better, even asked me if I needed a glass of water! I wish there were more stars to give, I would give Dr. West 100 stars!! I am a very protective pet parent and have an extremely hard time trusting anyone with my Pomeranian. I trust Dr. West 1000% with my dog's life. (I also have sent all my family members and all friends in the area to her as well... and they are equally as happy with Dr. West as I am!) When my dog is with Dr. West, I know that not only is she being seen by a superb, thorough, knowledgeable physician, but someone with one of the biggest hearts I have ever encountered. Dr. West cares for my animal as if she were her own. She goes so far above and beyond any care or consideration I have ever seen in the 20 years I have been an animal owner. My husband and I were amazed at the services this vet offers (aside from the excellent vet care). Our baby uses the daycare every day while we are at work and for her to go 5 days a week from 7:30am-6:30pm its only 135 dollars every two weeks! Dr Jessica Reum by far is the most knowledgeable and caring Veterinarian I have met. I only trust her and Dr. Hack when it comes to caring for my animals. They will milk you for all of your money I got another opinion and didn't need all of the services and meds they offered my dog. I live in Oakland Park and needed a veterinarian on Sunday, basically as an emergency. They set me up immediately with an appointment within hours. they care my pet received was EXCELLENT! Dr. Hack, Dr. Reum, and all the staff at Boca Veterinary Clinic are knowledgeable, friendly, and caring of their clients and their pets. They are extremely thorough in their examinations of each pet and they speak to you in ways that are easy to understand (i.e. they don't use big, scary words). They do an excellent job of creating care plans for your pet and go over each and every aspect of the plan with you so you understand what they are doing. If you don't quite understand something, they are very patient with you and take the time to explain it again. The front desk staff is welcoming and kind, and answer any questions that you have. The nurses are friendly and make sure that you understand every part of a care plan before you leave the appointment. Whether you are going in for a check-up and vaccines or a more serious problem, like foreign body surgery, they are always compassionate and understanding. When I had to bring my baby beagle in for a foreign body surgery, I was so nervous and scared for him, but the doctors and staff made me calm and explained everything in a way that made me comfortable with leaving my baby in their care. Even post-op, they were always calling to check on my pet and make sure I didn't have any additional questions. I would highly recommend Boca Veterinary Clinic because of their welcoming staff and atmosphere, the incredibly knowledgeable and caring doctors, and the excellent care received by my animals any time I bring them in. I don't write a lot of reviews but felt that I had to share my experience at this vet hospital. I called on Weekend with an emergency for my cat, we are new to area and saw online this was one of a few vets that were open. From the phone call with the receptionist, Crystal, to the sit down talk with Dr. West it was hands down the best experience I have had lately at a vet. We unfortunately had to put our beloved old lady down but they compassion the showed helped my family during this difficult time. Crystal went over all the options for us and was so sweet with my children and Dr. west also sat with us and took time to go over options so we understood and could make best decision for our girl. If you want a vet that is caring and compassionate im am certain they will go above and beyond for you too! When we are ready,as a family, we will be back with a new kitten. I have been using the Boca Vet Clinic for over a year, since moving to South Florida.  I have brought them 4 complicated cases -- a cat with heart disease at the end of her life, an elderly cat, a cat with chronic rhinitis, and a dog with a complicated liver issue.  Doctors here have been great--Dr. Reum, Dr. Hack and Dr. Bello.  There is another doctor, Dr. West, whom I have not met.  These vets really care and they are smart.  The staff is great too--very patient and if you are a client--they make things as convenient for you as possible.  They also know when to refer a case to a specialist.  I've been to specialists, but Boca Vet Clinic will always be my regular vet. This is the only place I will take my personal or family members dogs/cats! I don't trust anyone with my animals expect for the whole boca vet staff! Between the kennel staff, vet techs, front desk, to the veterinarians they all ROCK! When we board out animals to go out of town they take care of them beyond words and love them! Everytime we call to check up on them their always willing to speak on the phone for however long and always provide positive feedback on them! They are reasonably priced and really do truly care about animals. The hospital is always clean and staff is ALWAYS friendly. All the doctors are beyond amazing but Dr.Reum is my absolute favorite. Recently my mothers dog (12 years old got diagnosed with cancer). Since then doctor Reum has checked up on him MULTIPLE times and has answered any questions or suggestions with the best of her knowledge. In the room the techs and Doctor Reum never rush and always take their time with whatever we need. I have never been ripped off by people who don't know what they are talking about and are running a scam to just charge and get whatever they can out of any person that walks through the door. They misdiagnosed my animal on multiple occasions and had to bring to an animal hospital in okechobee where they treated him and had immediate results rather then the "Boca Animal Hospital" which will give you the highest rate to every medication that they have. The staff is nice but unprofessional. As they have not given full information on something as specific as flying with your animal. I had to spend roughly $1200.00  with them just to get my certified to fly with me. They might act nice and try to explain things but they are just tying to confuse you.  They told me that my dog needed $200 allergy shots when all he needed $1.99 antibacterial spray from publix. This place is a scam and I would never bring my animal there ever again. If you love your animal and don't want to be ripped off DO NOT GO HERE!!!! All they care about is getting more and more money from you. Which is prob why they misdiagnos problems with animals. So you have to come back and pay their fee again.  Just barlette animal rescue was wayyyyyyyy better, actually could explain what was going on with my Animal and fixed him in less then a day when my poor boy was suffering with Boca animal hospital for over 3 months !!!! Yes that's right 3 months they did not give me the right meds... If you are looking for the Best, meaning the Best care for your Pet from the moment you call, and speak over the phone with the front desk, or get to the front desk personally, or see a doctor,PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS CLINIC!As a Pet Lover, just not owner, I do care for my Pet with all of my heart, and it hurts me to know that a Veterinarian that is supposed to also Love Pets, and do whatever it takes, meaning WHATEVER IT TAKES, to care for that Pet DOES NOT CARE AT ALL!I recently had my Pet hospitalized at a Boca Emergency Clinic on the first hours of the AM.For the very first time in 13 years she had had diarrhea with traces of blood.You all can agree that this moment was devastating to us because we really never accept (meaning the ones who Love Pets) that our Pets are sicThe very same day on the AM I stopped by this clinic in the early AM, requested a copy of all of my Pet Exams so that I could provide them to the Emergency Hospital for comparison.I at that time left a message for Dr. Reum to call me asap as I would like to speak with her in regards to the sudden conditions of my Pet who was at the Emergency Hospital since the early hours of that day.I was provided with a copy of the exams and emphasized to the front desk that I needed her to call me and the Emergency Hospital in Boca to personally obtain details about my Pet.Well this did not happen until the next day in the evening when Dr. Reum called me.She asked: "How is your Pet"I was surprised with Dr. Reum question and indeed very surprised.She had not called the Hospital to verify the treatment of my Pet, but rather called me to know about it.I explained to her on my own words what had happened with my Pet and she started questioning me if they had done this, and that, etc...As I am not a Veterinarian Doctor I could not really respond to all of Dr. Reum questions so I asked Dr. Reum to kindly call the Emergency Hospital (opened 24 hours) to speak with the Night doctor in charge of my Pet.Dr. Reum said that she "COULD NOT DO IT BECAUSE IT WAS ALREADY LATE AND SHE WAS THERE FOR A LONG TIME AND THAT SHE NEEDED TO TAKE CARE OF A FAMILY EVENT THAT WOULD HAPPEN"Well, let's stop here for a second:This is not the response that a Veterinarian or any Doctor should give to a Pet Owner or to any patient.It is the duty, and I do repeat the duty of a Veterinarian Doctor, in this case Dr. Reum to do Whatever It Would Take to verify what was happening with my Pet, as Dr. Reum was entrusted with my Pet care previously at her practice.When I heard Dr. Reum response I could not believe what I was hearing! She seems well, just still showing signs of being very tired when indoors, but very energetic when outside. After 72 hours without eating she is eating well and with no more diarrhea. Today Tuesday the 14th, I woke up very early to be able to collect a sample of feces to take to Dr. Reum to examine, to set an appointment to see Dr. Reum and to ask Dr. Reum to do a complete profile blood test of my Pet to compare with the results of the many exams done at the Emergency hospital since the 7th of June.When I arrived at the clinic it was still closed, front office lights were off. It was 7:08 in the morning. Their schedule starts at 7:30 AM.As my Pet love outdoors I walked with her around the buildings of the shopping center where this clinic is located and when it was 7:25 I went back to the clinic. The lights were on.There were two persons at the front desk.Let me tell you, they did not have any smile on their faces, and they did not have really any interest on being there at all! One of they barely acknowledged my presence.Approaching that person I told her that I had a feces sample from my Pet (which she identified at the computer) and that I would like, I DID NOT SAY I WANT, have Dr. Reum make a comprehensive exam of the feces sample so that we could compare it with the Emergency Clinic recent exams.That front desk person told me that I needed to make an appointment first with Dr. Reum in order to have the exam done. She said that Dr. Reum needed to see my Pet first to then determine what kind of exam should be done from that sample of fecesShe also said that Dr. Reum would arrive at 11 AM and that I should bring another sample at that time. I told her that it would not be possible because my Pet only goes to the bathroom (for feces) twice a day. Dr. Hack and Dr. Rheum are extremely Knowledgeable and Genuine veterinarians. The staff as a whole truly CARE about their clients. Boca Vet has some of the best follow-up, follow-through and communications skills I have ever seen. Boca Vet is the only practice we truly TRUST. I see some negative things said about Dr Hack. She is tough and she does sometimes push the price point but I can tell you from experience if your dog is really ill she is the one you want. She saved my dog's life and was texting me at 12 am telling me how he was doing. She may not be a people person but this lady knows her stuff. Likewise, when we had a dog with cancer she was very honest in saying "you know me, I will try everything but there is nothing I can do to save him". Some vets would have pushed chemo. I would give this clinic a zero star rating if I could. They are in there for the money, they don't care for the well-being of your pet. We went there with our cat, who stopped eating a couple of days before. Dr Reum tried to push as many unnecessary tests as possible. For an X-ray, they wanted to charge anesthesia and a "specialist fee" .We told her that we don't need the specialist evaluation, we just want an x-ray to see what's inside my cat. She was very unflexible and wanted to charge both the anesthesia fee and the specialist fee (we later went to another clinic that did a simple x-ray; they told us that they rarely need anesthesia for an x-ray, they also didn't charge the specialist fee at my request, the doctor interpreted the x-ray ). Boca Veterinary clinic also sold us prednisolone pills that were expired a year ago (unfortunately I noticed that later). The other clinic were we went gave us all the medication in liquid and syrups, which are more easily administered to a cat than pills. Dr Reum didn't even bother to suggest syrups (we didn't even know that the medication can come both in pills and syrups, maybe it sounds dumb but I am a first time cat owner and my cat was healthy before, so I didn't have any experience in medicating him). My cat unfortunately died 3 weeks later. Dr Reum didn't bother to call us to check up on our cat, how he is doing. Don't take your pet to this clinic. Read Less

I don't know why there are so many bad reviews but I never had an issue at the short and unfortunately very few times I used them. I had a 15 year old yorkie named Snuggles. Unfortunately for his deteriorated health I had to put him down and I did so here. They made him and myself very comfortable. I have been so happy with ALL of the doctors here.  I highly recommend them. The whole staff is super friendly and I really feel like they love my pug.  I have a rescue dog who seems to have some kind of medical issue every other month, so I am here all the time.  They are open seven days a week and even open until 7 PM during the week.  I've even had to take my pug in on a Sunday without an appointment.  If they weren't open I would've had to take her to the animal emergency room which of course the cost would be highly expensive. My dog has also had two surgeries here and both of them very successful.On one other occasion, Dr. Jessica Reum advised me of the alternative care (meds and bed rest) she thought my dog needed instead of rushing into surgery and it worked!  I cannot thank the doctors and staff enough for the care and attention they have shown my pug Bella.One other item:  I love how Dr Reum actually gets down on the floor to sit and pet my dog. I met Dr. Hack at an event and took my two cats to see her about three years ago. A few years ago, I took my cats to another vet in Delray because they were closer and they gave a bad rabies vaccination to one and he died. I have since taken the drive from Boynton to Boca because I really like this practice. Everyone in the front office was helpful and I even received a call from Dr. Hack to check up on my cat. STAY AWAY! They only want your money. This is the second and last time I will go there. I came to treat an ear infection and the assistant was acting more like a sales person than like a veterinarian assistant. First have a bad attitude and did not know how to explain what my dog had. However, when it came down to prices was very well "educated" and was trying to convince me to pay over $350. Crazy!!!..... they will try to always add some vaccines and/or unnecessary treatment. I am pretty sure she gets a kick out of over selling. Being that said after the exam she never bother to explain my dog condition and even worst she gave me the prescription on the wrong ear. Find the perfect vet is just hard, if not harder, than finding a doctor for yourself. The first time I went to dr. Hack was when my pup had a very sick. I had gone to a different vet clinic and that doctor brushed me off and said nothing was wrong. Dr. Hack was awesome when I switched to BVC. Not only did she treat his cold but also found worms that another clinic overlooked only days before. My pup has seen both Dr. Hack and Dr. Reum. They are both amazing and very thorough. The staff at BVC is beyond helpful and sweet. If you really love your companion and want them to receive the best health care, take them to BVC!! Read Less

Dr Reum is the best vet. She saved my dog coco after she was attacked at dog park. Dr Reum and nurses were amazing quick acting. They had to take coco in emergency surgery, which saved her life.
