My dog went to an animal ER. They recommended a followup surgery ( after $1999).My Vet then scheduled a surgery with a " specialist " Vet without even examining my dog. $3000 " or more".It sounded unethical to me. A Vet scheduling a surgery, a surgeon coming in to perform without checking my dog out first?I took him to Dr.Lund.He was incredible. Diagnosed me dog in minutes. No surgery was needed... it was an infected salivary gland. $139 for visit, meds and free follow up.A brilliant, honest Vet who really knows his medicine.Go here before believing anything you feel is questionable.I will never go anywhere else. My family, including extended, have been taking our pets here for over 10 years now. I cannot recommend them enough. Dr. Scott and Kristy recently saved my 16 year old St Bernard mix and have been instrumental in allowing him to live this long. We thought we were going to have to say goodbye but they were able to operate and remove the tumor at a price that was much lower than I thought it would be. My puppy was spayed here and when we went to pick her up we had to wait for over half an hour which was ridiculous. Then they handed her to us and didn't tell us anything about aftercare. We also never received a call to inform us that she was ready to be picked up. While we were there, the vet never even spoke to us to tell us how she was. I could't have been assigned to a worse Vet Clinic than this one. I adopted my puppy from Little Paws of Love (another really bad review will come out of this, but that's another story) and was "assigned" to go to Dr. Lund's office for my puppy's first visit, neuter, deworm, vaccines , etc. The girls at the front desk couldn't be any worse. They are mean, pay you no attention to you nor to your animal. Awful!!! When I dropped off my puppy I asked to have his ears checked and a couple more things, and nothing was done. When I picked him up, (mind me, I had to call and ask if he was ready because nobody ever called me), they told me absolutely nothing and gave me no instructions. When I asked questions, they did everything to rush me out of there. No post surgery instructions, not even the microchip number that he was also supposed to get that day, nothing. After all this, I found a great Vet (regency) and we found out he didn't get all the vaccines he was supposed to. When I called Dr. Lund's office to ask for info, they said the shelter's file with them was so big that it would take days for them to figure out whether he took the vaccines or not (???) Now my dog will have to possibly be vaccinated because of their lack of commitment and ethic. Disappointment is an understatement!!!! Read Less

I am happy with both doctors they are caring and knowledgeable however yesterday our 8 months Westie had grooming done and we spoke with the groomer and gave her specific instructions how to cut him and she didn't listen at all and practically shaved all his fur. Just started taking my Shiba Inu puppy to this Vet because the animal rescue told us that her next 2 follow up visits must be with Lund. With all that said, we find the staff helpful and the Vet (on Tuesday's) outstanding. Only problem you should watch out for is the up selling of shampoos and supplements. On the other hand, they price match all medications from other Vets and the Internet. If you are looking to change your Vet or need one for the first time, Lund Animal hospital is a good choice. Years ago, I used this place for a few years. Everything seemed fine until Dr. Scott Lund prescribed medication for my dog's skin allergy.  The pills were steroids and expensive. One time, as I got home from the vet, I spilled the pills from the bottle, so I counted them as I put them back into the bottle.  It was a few short of the number I was charged for (also written on the bottle).  I called and told the office staff about the shortage.  They told me Dr. Lund, not the staff, counted the pills.  So, I assumed it was an accident.  The next 2 times when I received new pills (I bought 100 at a time), I counted them.  Guess what? they were always several pills short.  This vet already charged a lot of money for those pills, and still felt the need to do this dishonest trick to increase his profit?  With a few pills short in every client's medication bottle, the profit can quickly add up. I stopped going to this practice after catching Dr. Lund doing this 3 consecutive times.  He had lost all his credibility. Read Less

We have been going to Lund for almost 6 years now and even though we are moving up to Jupiter FL, we will be driving down for them. Dr. Scott will spend a ton of time with you and answer all your questions and never make you feel like he's in a hurry. They also always follow up with a call every time they say they will. Having had many dogs, cats and now a primitive dog of 12 years, I can say without a doubt 100%, never have I been so lucky to have Lund Animal Hospital back again...My 12 year old primitive dog, who has undergone some strange infections along the years, has been saved every time  by Scott Lund.  I even went to several specialists around the country.  Expense did not matter, and I did not have much.  All these specialist veterinarians agreed on a treatment plan, not Dr. Scott Lund.  He stayed true to his belief in a course of treatment for my then 7 year old, now 12. I believed in him, as he had treated so many of my animals over the years and was right all the time.  I went with his  decision, and she lived!  It was close but again he was right, she lived!.  After a long time of living away, and having some bad experiences with vet's in other states, the very first thing I did was to look him up and bring in my 12 year old..She was so happy to see him and the staff...Reunited, he looked her over, I had a feeling there was a slight problem.  He picked up on it immediately, had not seen her for 4 years, but his intuitive ability to know what's wrong came to the surface immediately.  Gladly, not life threatening, but ahead of the issue that could indicate some trouble going forward.  The Lund Animal hospital is by far the best in the country.  South Florida, feel grateful we are so lucky to have them.  Hat's off to all the courteous staff, Kristy Lund and Scott Lund.  They are the best!  I should know, I've encountered the good, bad, and retarded.  Picky I am, however a pet is an extension of the soul...I've been going to The Lund Animal hospital since 1997, and never once have my pets suffered..  Anne Marie Read Less

My experience with Lund Animal Hospital . I have been taking my dog to lund for over 3 year now. Every visit costed me anywhere between $150 to $250 . I recently visited them and i paid $80 for EXAMINATION/VISIT + $35 for special ear exam . Well it is a general examination why not be responsible enough to check her temperature, her teeth, look into her ears and other exams that are included in a general exam for $80 and when i mentioned i wanted her ears checked they conducted a special exam for extra $35 what ethics do these vets have ..seriously check her ears 1st before you do any bloody additional exams . I am more then happy to pay if you do the right things . I have been with them for 3 years and i am very very confident i do not want to go to them anymore. If you wanna see anyone there only see Dr.Christine she is definitely more caring . May be the guy or his assistant were just trainees who know nothing or were lazy .And on top he was trying to up sell me for daily course of pills.Buddy do you job right before you up-sell care for the animal more then the money . very very unhappy and my dog is still flapping her ears and no use going to them . I loved taking my dog Pickles to this hospital when Dr. Lund and his wife took care of him. They're very caring and loving with the animals, but on our last and final visit (because my dog passed away), we had Dr. Carter. He was very rude, cold and uncaring. I don't know why someone like this would be working with sweet, innocent animals.
