Do not take your pet here if there is an emergency. They killed our cat today by giving him a deadly shot of the antibiotic convenia without even knowing what was going on. I looked up this medicine and one of the side effects is DEATH.. They killed our beloved sphinx cat. They gave him the shot, then told my boyfriend to leave to an emergency. He died in my boyfriends lap right after. When my boyfriend returned to dispose of the body, the ladies were outside smoking and mocked him saying, "he's back". So rude and unprofessional. NEVER EVER TAKE YOUR PET HERE. Read Less

Didn't even get the chance to meet the vet because the staff was so rude. Walked in told her my name and pet's name and she didn't even acknowledge me. Was waiting there 5 minutes before a word was spoken to me while the staff all chatted in the room behind the desk. Not only that.. the office reeked of cigarette smoke. I expect a friendly staff who seem to really love animals. I will not take my dog to a vets office who I do not feel comfortable in and this certainly wasn't a place I felt comfortable in. I have never just walked out of an appointment before. So disappointing. I'm sure Lucy is a great vet but unfortunately her staff doesn't do her any favors. Read Less

I used to just buy flea treatment from Boynton Pet Clinic because my regular Veterinarian didn't carry this brand. A few months ago I stopped, making the mistake that my residential community's spraying of the surrounding landscaping was sufficient. Well, 3 days ago I noticed my cat's lower lip was swollen. I researched online and tried a few possible remedies (i.e., changing a plastic water bowl to glass and even returning the different healthy cat food he had started to eat around the same time his swollen lip appeared). Although my research did indicate the possibility of fleas as a cause, my cats hadn't been noticeably scratching themselves. My research also showed the possibility of a common underdiagnosed disease, which would require a blood test. I called my regular veterinarian, but he wasn't expected in that day so I called around for price quotes for an exam and a blood test and was given just about the same quote from everyone. So, because I was already familiar with Boynton Pet Clinic (buying that particular flea treatment), I called and got an appointment for 2 hours later. Dr. Lucy (as she is called) examined my cat thoroughly and determined that the problem was likely fleas, after all - - an expensive blood test was unnecessary (YAY!). Dr. Lucy gave my cat a couple of shots and a flea treatment. That same night, I noticed a flea on my cat's face! Yep, we had fleas. When I awakened the next morning, my cat's swollen lip had already improved and almost back to normal. I'm permanently switching over to Boynton Pet Clinic because Dr. Lucy and her staff were so very friendly and welcoming, the premises were clean and, importantly, everyone was gentle and caring in their handling of my cat. The veterinarian and staff at my current clinic aren't friendly at all and I always feel like I'm going through a factory's assembly line. Thank you Boynton Pet Clinic. Soooo very much. Read Less

I have been to two different vets for my dog's allergies, they hardly ever tell me anything useful. I really liked the interaction the vet had with my dog, he felt save and he was as comfortable as you can be when someone is taking your temperature and examining you. She was very thorough, and I trusted her examination (I am no vet but I am pretty sure that you cannot just look at a dog and tell if they are ok or not); the other places I went to I always felt that they didn't check everything and my dog never felt at ease. The staff at the clinic was really nice, reassuring and quite helpful. We will definitely be coming here!!! If your furry friend needs to be checked up, or if there is something which you really can't pin point, I definitely recommend this place! Read Less

When we needed Dr. Lucy Cruickshank the most, she wasn't there for us.  She let us down completely in our dog's greatest hour of need.  And for this, we will never be able to forgive her.Nearly three years ago we made it very clear to her on our first office visit that she could only be our veterinarian if she was willing to come to our home should it be necessary to put our dog down.  Having had to put down two previous boxer dogs, we knew the importance of clarifying our need in advance.  We told her that we'd be happy to compensate her for this.   She assured us that she'd come to our home, adding that she wouldn't consider charging for putting a dog down.  This was the start of an exceedingly expensive relationship--we figure it at about $,6000 to $7,000--maybe more.  The bottom line is this: While frustrated by the ever-increasing mountain of charges, we accepted them--our dog's welfare was at stake.  But what we couldn't accept was that this doctor  DIDN'T HONOR HER WORD WHEN THE CHIPS WERE DOWN.  She left us scrambling to find another veterinarian in a hurry. Our dog, Avianna, took a turn for the worst on Wednesday morning.  She was a 60 lb. boxer dog who'd overnight completely lost the ability to sit or stand.   This meant that there was no way for her to go outdoors to go to the bathroom; and we physically couldn't lift her.  But, Dr. Cruickshank's office is closed after 1 p.m. on Wednesday and we were forced to leave a message.Dr. Cruickshank,  phoned back an hour later, and to our horror, after apprising her of the dire situation, she reneged about coming over to put Avianna down!   We reminded her that this was the very reason we chose her.  She hemmed and hawed saying that she needed someone from the office to assist her.  We offered to pay for her assistant--but she refused, saying that she couldn't do that and would put the dog down on Thursday.  We told her we'd find an emergency service and thanked her for returning the call. We used Google to find  Dr. Rachel.  She was there in an hour and, coincidentally, didn't require an assistant!  This woman was an angel who overwhelmed us with her compassion and kindness and understanding.  Dr. Cruickshank never even phoned us, nor have we even received a call from her asking how it went or how we were doing after putting down our cherished little Avianna. My name is Chris and today the 3rd of December my girlfriend and I brought our 4 month old sick kitten in for an emergency vet exam as she has been experiencing difficulty breathing, a high fever, and discharge from the eyes and nose. First off I would like to thank Dr. Cruickshank and her excellent staff for their friendly and straightforward service. This vet office is small but run well and the ladies do an excellent job of accommodating emergency visits (even though their appointments are booked through next week) This veterinarian office is one I would recommend, especially to those who are new to pet ownership. Amber and Dr. Cruickshank were very helpful and no matter how many seemingly silly questions i would ask they always remained helpful and were never condescending. The staff were friendly and we would like to thank you again for the wonderful work that you do. We will return to this office for any further vet needs! Read Less

Rude, unprofessional stuff including office manager Amber who doesn't return calls. My cat was vomiting and I bright her in for a checkup. They charged me $400 for their services and did 3(!!!) blood drawings from my little cat 2 of them for nothing because one clumsy stuff member dropped the tube and the third sample wasn't enough for them! My cat was tortured for 1,5 hours, people sitting in line were asking me "what kind of animal screams like that?what are they doing to it?" They took 3 tubes full of blood from my poor pet and 2 of them went to waste! Dr. Cruickshank was rough with my cat who had never bit anyone on her life! Vet's cellphone kept going off with the loudest cricket ringtone and she didn't even bother to turn it down during the appointment. Once again, please don't let those false reviews deceive you! This vet is amazing.Here. Staff are caring and compassionate. They are not out just to make money but truly care about your pet. We went there with our 15 year old cat. The last vet in the area told us we need to pull 4 or more teeth, that's why our cat was sick and throwing up all the time. And that we needed to pay 600.00 to have teeth cleaned and pulled. We just didn't feel like the vet and staff were really on top of things or caring. We looked on line and saw Boynton vet clinic with good reviews so we went to see them. They confirmed through examining our cat that he had a rare problem that was serious and was causing our cat to not be able to swallow. They were so caring and did not charge us for many things they could have. Finally after every option was exhausted over the month we had to put our cat down it was very sad for us our cat was with us 15 years and a big part of our lives. When we took him there the staff techs comforted us and even cried with us. I highly recommend them if you want to have good care for your pet. Thank you Boynton Vet clinic staff your the best.
