Doctor burns is probably hands down the most empathetic and caring vetenarian I know and I detail about 7 different vets offices and floresta animal hospital is where I chose to take my 15 year old shitzu for blatter and yeast infections. I know vet services are not cheap, however if you are looking for a vet that is worth the money then Dr. Burns is your gal. I've been to many vets with my dog that has health issues and I believe her services are not overpriced and she does not do unnessasary work on my animal. She is professional, compassionate and dedicated to the animals. She saved my dogs life and I cannot thank her enough. My 85 lb german shepherd came into the vet office on her death bed and even though doctor Burns was on her way out of the office at the end of the day she took my dog in immediately and performed the emergency surgery that saved her life. It was a very complicated surgery and Dr. Burns and her staff were in constant communication with me even through the night. Dr Burns had to stay all night and monitor my dog in intensive care after the surgery. I highly recommend Floresta Animal Hospital. Went in cause my dog was limping and had a tender toe nail that appeared infected. Told the doctor it was an infection and she said she thought it was broken. Then hit me for a $200 x-ray and a $85 sedation fee, said it's not broken it's infected. Well walked out with a $508 bill! Absolutely terrible, will not be back! Read Less

Discovered Floresta Animal Hospital late last year when we relocated to Boynton Beach.  We have cats, and I wanted a nearby vet, who is not part of a large corporate structure.  I am so relieved I received excellent service for my kitties.  Even though this practice caters mainly to dogs, their attention, care, and expertise was monumental in taking care of some issues I had with my cats.  Dr. Jean Burns is truly a well educated, caring vet that spends time with each of her clients.  The office staff is awesome as well - so kind and fun!  I just wish there was another doctor onboard at this office in case Dr. Burns is not available. I brought my elderly dog, Blu, to Floresta b/c of what we were told were untreatable lipoma's from another unmentionable vet. They had grown and one had opened. Dr. Burns and her staff are wonderful. Professional, kind and caring for both Blu and myself. They are great at what they do and how they do it. We had such a wonderful experience from what was a surgical experience for Blu and an emotional day for myself. I cannot say enough about this place. I have been looking for a french bullodog for three years. I heard about Dr. Burns about two and a half years ago from the Veterinarian I work for here in Alaska. If you are looking for the most compassionate vet when in comes to animals Dr. Burns is #1. She does what is absolutely right for the animal, not necessarily the owner. Our Gypsy was 14 yrs old and very sick and we were sure it was time to put her down. Dr. Burns took a quick couple of tests and said I can save her and give her quality of life. . We are so glad, we had 4 more years to enjoy her, and she died a natural death on our lap after a great day with our others. On another occassion our Skylar who had been stricken with cancer about a year was taken to Dr. Burns and this time she did put her to sleep, but do not know who cried more, her or us. A few days later we received a package in the mail from Dr. Burns with Skylars paw print in a ceramic piece! I could go on and on as we have 8 Pembroke Welsh Corgies and 3 Bengal cats. I go to Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok. Thailand for the best human medical care in the world. Would take our pets 12,000 miles too to get help from Dr. Burns. She is #1 in our book.
