We just went there.  We had to bring our 15 year old beagle in.  We knew it was her time when all of a sudden she started having seizures, paralysis, and her blood tests came back with a very negative prognosis. Dr. Fellman and her assistant spoke to us about the options and we agreed with her opinion.  Both my wife and I were a wreck from being up all night with our sick dog.  They were both very empathetic to our situation and sadness.  I truly thank them from the bottom of my heart and I wish more people would be like that in the world today.They offered us a very nice room, with a couch, tissues etc and provided the most amazing dignified death a puppy can ask for... They provided us more than ample time to say goodbye and grieve--with no rush.We have been bringing our dogs here for over 10 years now.  The staff there, has treated my aging dogs with compassion and empathy that any pet owner would appreciate. Dr. B has taken great care of Chip, our 14 yo cat. She is always thorough, accommodating, professional during our visits. We recently moved to this area and our cat Wiley became sick so fast that we took him to Braden River because it was so close to our house. They fit us in right away and were very caring. We had blood work done but had to go out of town the next day. They went above and beyond to help us and Wiley's caretaker while we were out of town. They kept him until we could get back home and take him to the oncologist. Sadly he is no longer with us but they helped in his care until we could get back to say goodbye, we are extremely grateful! Very friendly and honest staff. We have felt really comfortable with all of the assistants and doctors both on our scheduled visits and on an emergency instance. The fees charged are in line, reasonable, and as expected. Not only were we not oversold but when we asked the Dr. about other services we were told it's not necessary and they would prefer to not perform anything unnecessary on our dog which I appreciate. One of my "girls" came down with an Eye infection. Being new to the area, was not sure who the better vets were. Being an Emergency (for me) at 1800L. They gave us a "work-in" Appointment for 0900 the next AM. 0903L they called Gracie (because she usually isn't) back. Exam, drops, annual shots, and we were out the door at 1000L. So, Erika (tech) and Jill (Vet) were/are the Best! Terrific Bedside manner. Exceptional Facility. Great community reputation. One of the better Veterinarian Operations we have experienced over the past 40+ Years. We would have no qualms taking either of the "Girls" back . This Saturday, I had a "non-emergency" problem with my 9-yr. old Pit. I called and was given the go ahead to come on in as a walk-in. I hardly waited 10 minutes! The technician and vet (not my usual, Dr. B) were wonderful with my girl! And, not only that, they talked with me - listening to my concerns and providing guidance. When we first moved here, I started taking my animals to Braden River Animal Hospital but soon changed to another vet as their prices were a bit more pocketbook friendly. The new clinic was good to our animals but rude and short with the pet owners. Two weeks ago our 13yo Jack Russel started having seizures and they were getting progressively worse. We knew our Lucy's end was nearing and didn't want her to suffer, however we were holding out some hope that the seizures would go away.  One morning she had a horrendous seizure and was in pain, so I called our current vet at 8am and explained the situation. They informed me that they couldn't do anything for our Lucy until 11am the NEXT morning. When I expressed my concern for my dogs pain the lady actually said to me, "well honey, you know there are other vets". REALLY!!?? I called BRAH and they were willing to see us asap. As suspected we had to put our sweet girl to sleep. They could not have been more caring, loving, and patient to not only Lucy but my son and me as well. They made a horrendous situation the best it could be, not to mention they didn't gouge us financially. On the contrary, they were EXTREMELY reasonable. They only charged us for the sleepy med and her cremation, which both were next to nothing. Needless to say, we are switching back to BRAH. Absolutely wonderful experience!! My 11 y o English Bulldog who has age related health issues was treated with such tender loving care. I have been taking my kitties here for 15 to 20 years and the staff has always been friendly and compassionate. They even let you exit out the side/back door when you look awful from bawling your eyes out since your pet was just euthanized. We usually saw Dr. Clekis and he is fabulous, thorough and takes his time with you and your pet(does not rush you in & out). We recently saw the newest Doctor there(sorry forgot his name) and he was just as great! They have always managed to see us the same day as we always seem to have what we think is a life or death emergency with our kitties(though the last visit ended up to be really gas/tummy ache!!!). My boyfriend and I found Dr. Clekis after moving to Florida and getting our first puppy together. God..I don't know what we would do without him. Dr. Terry Clekis is GOD-SENT. We are obsessed with him. He is amazing, caring, funny, loving...everything you would ever want in a Vet. My dog was sick and Dr. Clekis knows how much anxiety I get when I don't know what's wrong with my dog. He came to the office at 7:30 p.m on a Saturday (the office was closed) with his wife and took a look at our baby. He gave him fluids, medicine, food and love. We love you so much Dr. Clekis. This place is terrible. Not only were they misleading over the phone as far as which services are needed, but their prices are exceedingly high as well. They don't like writing prescriptions, much less for the more affordable generic brands. They are very much the old school, price gouging, inflexible vet that relies on the ignorance of their clientele. I also had to wait for over an hour in the waiting area before my dogs were seen. Braden River Animal Hospital (BRAH) opened a brand new facility just a few years back, have the latest technology and training, and are about to expand to four docs. You can't get that kind of expansion without retaining your customers over the years. We've been with BRAH since before Dr. Terry Clekis took over the practice 12+ years ago. Our many dogs and cats see Tery, Dr. Laura Eslinger and Dr. Krystal Beraducci and have always received wonderful service from these excellent diagnosticians. Braden River Animal Hospital is the best  if a pet owner wants honest, professional and reasonably priced care for their pets. My pug Frankie loves to go to see them and  so do I. Wait time for a scheduled appointment is minimal even though the waiting room is full. The doctors and all the staff take time to answer questions and concerns. Treatment is accurate and there are no hidden costs. We have received follow up phone calls after surgery and their pet portal is great if you have a question or need to contact them after hours. Phone calls are returned promptly. Although we tend to see the same doctor each visit, we  have seen all three and am happy with all. The facility is clean and talking with other owners in the waiting room we have the same opinion... Excellent care for our  four footed friends and happy to be associated with the professional and caring staff. All I have to say to Frank is.. RUDE. Dr. Berarducci did not listen to me, talked over me, didn't wait to hear my questions, just left the room. Did EVERYTHING in the back and didn't tell me what she was doing. I paid 50 dollars for an exam I didn't even see happen, paid 20 dollars for her to clip my dogs hair without permission or reason, paid 42 dollars for an anti-voimit shot that I HAD NO IDEA was  happening. Especially when my dog is sensitive to shots. If i knew that I would have either told her NO or given her some benedryl first. OUTRAGED. You can't just take someones dog out of an exam room and do everything behind closed doors and then charge me for services I did NOT agree to or want. I will be going somewhere else from now on. I recently moved here and took my cat here.  At first they seemed really great.  Then my cat had some illnesses and she was not treated well.  They insisted on anesthestizing her for treatments and I had to leave her there.  Both times she came home covered in poop.  We never had any trouble with vets before.  She is now going to another vet where they are treating her well and she is happy.  I suspect they like treating dogs more than cats. I have taken my dogs Rosa and Hunter here since the spring of 2011. My experience has been with Dr. Laura Eslinger, who has been amazing! Rosa, who is 12 years old,  had a cancerous growth removed from her front leg... after healing nicely, she is acting like a puppy again and is a very happy dog! My elderly cat had a year long illness requiring frequent office visits, labwork and medications. My questions were always answered honestly but with kindness and genuine concern. Dr. Laura Eslinger was not ready to give up on my cat so therefore niether was I. She gave me an extra year of a good quality of life with my furry best friend using her professional expertise, sense of humor and dignity. When the end came my wishes were respected and supported. I will never go to any other vet or animal clinic/hospital as long as I own a pet. The staff all knew my cat by name and I received the most caring sympathy card from Dr. Eslinger. They are the best!
