The ladies at the front desk are wonderful. Doc is very knowledgeable and did a great job clipping the jewels off of my little Major. Found this wonderful Vet, when my Jack Russell became sick w stomach issues. I called them they took my dog in the same day I called . The staff was awesome, waited no more than 15 min.. the Vet made his clinical diagnosis and gave us what we needed. Several days later our dog is doing great. friendly staff. vet has same type of dog as my mom so he knows a lot about their shared breed above and beyond all the rest of his knowledge. great with animals. they have a huge cat on staff who is deaf and quite demanding. Read Less

Very friendly staff, vet was very gentle and thorough with my kitty. Some vets just glance and pass out meds, this vet was super caring and fully examined my little angel. Prices are decent and knowledge is high. I would highly recommend this place. Read Less

My dog had a surgery in Cortez Animal Clinic and Iam glad to say that Dr Walters team was very nice and kind with me, my dog and my wife. I have taken my dog to the Cortez animal clinic twice now and both times feel that they have tried to rip me off. The first visit was for a wellness exam and shots. While there the vet took it upon himself to clip my dogs nails. After looking at the bill I see that I was charged almost $20!! Just to cut nails? I let that one go and scheduled another appointment due to my dog having anxiety. I was told that I would be scheduled an appointment to have an exam and we could discuss my options. Once there, my dog was weighed and beyond that the Vet did not check her or examine her in any way. He then informed me that he was going to put her on a medication. I specifically asked if he could write a prescription so that I could get it from the pharmacy at the retail store that I work. The vet explained that he wanted to just try it out for a month and that it would not be that expensive. So when I went to check out my bill was $75. I was charged $45 for an exam that my dog didnt even receive and $30 for 30 pills. I went straight to my pharmacist and asked him how much it would cost me to get the pill from there. I was informed it would be $10 for 90 pills!! I was so upset I called the vet back and asked for a refund and asked for him to write me the prescription that I wanted in the first place. He agreed but once I went back to the office for the script I was charged $10 just for him to write the prescription. What a Joke!! I will never go back there! Read Less

We have been taking our dog here for about 2 years now.  It is very expensive and almost impossible to get a weekend appointment, even thought they claim to have Saturday appointments available.  We are looking for a new place to go that is cheaper and better care. Read Less
