My dog cracked his tooth last Sunday and my regular vet which is about 5 minutes north they said they were too busy. For a 24hr emergency vet it's a joke. Also there prices are outrageous. The best thing they did was refer me to East West. Dr. Emily and the surgery tech (sorry i forgot your name) were great at took great care of my baby. I was very nervous about the dog having surgery and leaving him but everything was great and they took the time to talk to me. Even after she took my dog in the back they were more then happy to bring him out again so I could give him some extra love. They are my new vet office going forward. Read Less

As newbies to Cape Coral, we take customer reviews to heart. After taking our service animal to them for dietary required food and red tide encounters we were very dissatisfied. The food they sold us was not the same food his prior vet sent the prescription for yet we were told it was.  After another month of my service dog being too sick to take with me for my needs we returned and asked for the correct food. They ordered the food and upon picking it up we asked could we look at it to be sure it's the food he needs. Several employees came out from behind the employees only doors and one particular rude female stood out as the worst, socially inept and really needs a new career. She (shorter build, stocky , with braided pony tail) while on the phone to the lady whom orders the pet food called my husband an asshole and as she stormed out of the office became confrontational, threatening and belittling to myself and my husband. This woman argued with us and tried covering up her insults only to sound even more ridiculous and ignorant. She said she was leaving the front office so she too did not act like an asshole. I felt as though she was getting ready to put on gloves and have a throw down.  She came across very unprofessional and better than yet she was in the wrong and the other ladies knew it and just let her rant. Clearly the vet clinic was in the wrong and returned for credit our bag of the incorrect food only to sell us another bag of incorrect food which was triple the price. I guess when an employee says you have my word, that really doesn't hold any weight with this clinic. My service animal is my lifeline. Without his constant contact my seizures could be deadly. To bad this person does not understand the magnitude a sickly service animal presents. One star was only given so I could post this review. I would NEVER GO BACK! First of all...they take the pet away from the owner to examine them in another room. WRONG. No Dr. will separate me from my pet again. The animal is already stressed being at the vet and they consider themselves holistic??? Seriously? My dog went in for a simple issue and was prescribed a antibiotic that caused a seizure two hours later. Complications caused the dogs death 2 weeks later. Very caring and your pet is cared for in a loving way. Very compassionate. Not just caring but actually loving. Very beautiful building with great views. Beautiful landscape with view of pool and Canal. Very clean and no odor at all. Knowledgeable staff and not pushy on any procedure or product. All questions answered. They have great business hours 7 days a week until 9 p.m. They offer cash discounts and have a huge parking lot with lots of spots near entrance. I highly recommend. Read Less

2 sundays ago we brought our 9 year old yorkie in as an emergency, possibly choking but absolutely having breathing difficulty.  when we arrived we were met by the front desk girl who treated us with all the urgency of a hang nail. we had to express to her that this was a true emergency. within a few minutes a tech arrived and tool our "cody" the the back for evaluation. they put us in a room  and brought cody back to us within minutes. he is 'stable' they stated. one hour passed and i stuck my head out of the door and asked the same tech when we would be seen. she finally came into the room and took some history as to why we where there and again said 'he is stable'. another half hour passed and our cody seemed to not be important  to them as the regularly scheduled follow up patients they had . we were told that because we did not have an appointment we would have to be "squeezed" in when they could find time.    filled with anger we walked out to have to bring our yorkie cody to the emergency vet on pine island road.   he died that night from blood clots in his lungs.  we will never ever ever return to this place that we had been going to since 2011 and we will encourage any with a loved pet to go anywhere else. there complacency and lack of knowledge is pathetic. even after we later called to inform them what happened , guess what they had the nevve to say? yep " he was stable'      east west bull shit clinic. We've found our veterinarians. I've had my dogs to many vets in town trying to find one I felt was a good fit. Well I found it. My dog was attacked and when I called East West they got us in quickly. Everyone was so compassionate and loving on Toby. I really apappreciate that anytime I call for an appointment we get in when we need. I especially love that they're open 7 days a week until 9pm. I trust my furkids to the kind folks at East West. From the ladies at the front to the tech, assistants and vets, everyone goes out of their way to make my dogs comfortable and ease my fears. As someone who worked as a vet tech for over 15 years, I'm EXTREMELY picky with who I choose to have work on my animals. Not all vets/animal hospitals are created equal! Their exam rooms are very comfortable for both the owners and animals. They take their time to make the animals comfortable and don't rush. They call and check to make sure your animal is improving after coming in for a sick visit. We are new to this vet and we were very pleased!! They were very patient with our high energy 2 year lab and so easy going. This made us feel at ease. Place was clean and everyone seemed very caring. From the first moment you walk through the door your treatment begins , the staff are friendly and approachable. My Bunny Snickers had an upper respiratory infection he was treated by a very nice veterinarian who spent the time to really give him a physical and suggest options of treatment based on affordability. I chose the most aggressive to be sure my bunny was resting comfortably. In Cape Coral it is rare to find anyone who specialises in Bunny Rabbits . The office gave me an appointment for the same day ,and even called the next day to check on Snickers and to let me know if I needed anything they were just a phone call away. The best veterinary clinic ever. The whole experience is colaberated with care. From beginning to end. They completely appreciate your time and appointments are on time. The staff is kind and considerate and again focused on you and your animal. Doctors are the best. We have seen two on staff and both were wonderful. Calm place where your animal can relax, music, large windows overlooking a pool and canal. They encourage you to let your pet out and stroll the room, sit with you on the couch. Last night we brought 4 cats in at the same time and the process was amazingly smooth. Dr A is truly wonderful with animals and nervous parents!!!! I can't say enough good things about East West. Dr Brown has been treating my fur babies for several years and everyone has always been very professional and loving toward my animals. When I rescued my current dog Maddie, she was a hot mess. Dr Brown was great in getting her healthy and also gave great advice as to how to help her transition into the great dog she is today. After Hurricane Irma we desperately needed a health certificate for international travel for Maddie and Amy came thru with flying colors. Although they don't regularly do international travel documents, Amy worked diligently with the USDA and me to make sure Maddie had all the travel documents she needed. I had a emergency with one of my dogs that I had rushed to a 24 hr hospital that could do nothing for me, but when I called Dr. Brown in the middle of the night she rushed to the office and opened her doors for us. 5/1/2016 Dr. Dixie Brown, vet technicians, and receptionists (especially Jerrica and Jessica) were very caring and supportive of us and our precious cat, Masha, during a very difficult time. Without them, we would not have had the quality time that we had with Masha. The blend of Eastern and Western medicine was a huge benefit. I should add that Dr. Ron Arceneaux is very compassionate and willing to spend the time needed to answer any and all questions you have, which is something that is hard to find nowadays. My Maltese Mooshi age 13 became very sick and we thought he was dying.My husband and I were not happy with our current vet.  Mooshi was prescribed Tussigone for a collasping trachea and we were handed a brochure for surgery.After a bad week of seeing my baby suffer I decided to find a holistic vet.I went to see Dr. Brown at EAST WEST VETERNIARY CENTER.  I knew the moment we walked through the center we were in the right place.   I was so scared I thought the Dr. would say my baby needed to be put down.  Dr Brown diagnosed him with congested heart failure and a collapsing trachea. She prescribed 5 medicines that we took home.   Within 3 days  Mooshi was doing much better.  We made an appt.to see a cardiologist the next week, that Dr. Brown suggested, to fine tune his medicines.  Aside from being greeted warmly, waiting in a room over looking a canal, listening to soothing music and being told that medicines could be prescribed that would help his condition, I would say we hit a home run.Also we received a welcome card from EAST WEST VET where 5 employees personally signed the card.I brought each of the 5 employees including Dr. Brown a custom designed bouquet of roses to express my gratitude. We had our Lionhead bunny for around three months before he started getting a "crusty" nose as any new bunny owner would do I freaked out and googled everything I could. Eventually I called around to Vet offices around Fort Myers and Cape Coral trying to find an Exotic pet Dr. I started reading reviews about this vet center and immediately called them! There were the most affordable as well. After going to the first visit Dr. Craffton issued a few things to heal my bunny, the issue was going away after taking him to the vet the second time, but still was not healed. Dr. Craffton issued a few more things for our little Hop. After the third visit I think we finally pin pointed his issue. Dr. Craffton and his crew are amazing people. He has made it affordable enough to take my bunny to the vet (which I had never heard of before), he brought my bunny out to me today and he looked so much better than when I brought him in. I am a very happy customer, this has been our second home lately and I am happy I chose the right vet care. Awesome Veterinary Office!!! We highly recommend!! Just there last Thursday. After reading some other reviews, I felt I just had to give more detail as to why we highly recommend East West Veterinary Care Center. On December 11, 2012, we brought our beautiful 6 &1/2 year old Great Dane, Storm in to be looked at. She had suddenly developed a huge lump on her back leg, near the foot. Dr, Brown and staff were absolutely wonderful to us. Our beautiful Storm was diagnosed with bone cancer and we tearfully made the decision to let her go, as this kind of cancer was very fast spreading. My husband, 10 year old daughter & myself were so devastated as we had no idea when we brought Storm in that this would be her fate. Dr. Brown and her staff cried with us and were so comforting to our Storm as well as to us. Such a difficult blow to our family. Several days later, we received a beautiful sympathy card in the mail that the office had sent to us. Inside was an enormous, paw print for our beloved Storm. Tears welled up as we read this comforting card from Dr, Dixie Brown and her wonderful staff. We will always remember the love, care and concern given to us during a very sad time. We continue to bring our miniature chocolate dachshund, Mocha, to East West Veterinary Care Center and are forever grateful for their professionalism, loving care and outstanding compassion for animals and humans.
