If negative stars were available this so called hospital would have it. Vet wouldn't even talk to me about the after care of my pet. No antibiotics because there not necessary with this procedure My response Then why are his ears infected. You tell me not to get them wet then you tell me I was supposed to wash them. I bring him in a nd tell you there infected 3 days later You tell me Nothing we can do. When confronted about t he contradictory after care, which you definitely ...should record as I did because they or should I say he (the vet tech) will say he told you to do this but then says he told you to do that. Again visit 2 for infected ears I let the vet know his ears are infected and she says yeah they are and I let her know I was there 3 days before had tried to call the on call which is another clinic again back goes my puppy and out he comes no posts on his docked ears because HIS EARS WERE INFECTED no cone was replaced, sutures were not removed from his tail. This place provides HORRIBLE CARE, filthy on the walls is the rooms no wonder he got an infection. If you love your furbaby as I do chose your vet like you chose your doc, someone who will actually talk to you not send their wanna be condescending tech to try some humiliation tactics on you. A vet that will provide your pet with the best care possible and at least talk to you when something goes wrong so you understand your options. THIS WAS NOT THAT PLACE FOR ME OR MY PET. The staff was so friendly here. I'm sure they see tons of puppies everyday, but the doctor and the techs treated our puppy thoroughly and individually. Loved this veterinarian! Wait time wasn’t bad considering they were running a little bit behind and I ran a couple minutes late! My poor puppy was petrified they were so sweet and kind she relaxed. Moving and having to find a new vet is always an issue... or you just haste to leave your old vet but we have found a gem here and all of our animals ( 3 cats and 1 dog) have been. The price is fair, the veterinarian Dr. Cox is great. They just saved our dog after he ate something shouldn't have and saved us a ton of money. .. would highly recommend this place. .. they also have a great outdoor place for your dog to run around and you can also kennel them here. Were good to us until we moved from there to Tallahassee. Gouged us for the checkup, heart worm testing @ a time we were moving and high expenses. Asked for 6 month supply, only got one month free. Said any vet in Tallahassee would be able to call to them and get their records and give us meds. NOT THE CASE! ALL vets in Tallahassee say they are required BY THE STATE OF FLORIDA to do a check up on the pets (which I paid the Animal Clinic already to do...they should not have put us through that and taken the money which my daughter actually paid for as we could not afford it!). They said the vets here were lying to us. Yet here we are at a point we need heart worm meds and they did mail the Rx after much protest, REFUSE to give info to 1800PetMeds, and hung up on me. I am handicapped and seriously stressed. I cannot easily get anywhere and now it is going to cost DOUBLE what we have already paid because of them. So, beware of the Florida Laws as apparently this clinic is not up to date with what is going on. I also contacted the State Vet Board just to make sure and filed a complaint. Several months ago we were looking for an animal clinic closer to home since our veterinarian at the time was a 50 minute drive away. Since finding Animal Clinic in Citra, we have taken all three of our dogs and our cat in. We have had routine and non-routine visits, as well as one emergency visit and have been very happy each time. We've seen Dr. Stapler and Dr. McNichols and both were excellent. My cat recently needed some care.  The staff here was very good to us/him and took care with his injury.  They were very matter of fact about the costs involved and gave us options that fit our budget but still provided care to our boy.  They followed up with us by telephone to see how he was doing and to discuss lab work.  My boy is doing much better, but I'm getting ready to set up an appointment to take my dog in for her shots and check up.The price for a check up and some services are very high--but not higher than I've experienced at other vets.  The care and follow up are much better and greatly appreciated.  I was impressed that between our visit and the call about the labwork the vet had done some other research and had some suggestions for us as a result related to his condition.  I was also impressed by the newspaper articles posted in the waiting area about the doctor and how she saved a dog who was abandoned and run over.  It was my observation that she truly cares about the well fare of animals.  I also loved that they have saved a stray cat who is their mascot--and also clearly well cared for.  I like that the staff has a heart and isn't just all business.  Could I use less expensive pet care? Sure. But my pets are part of the family and I'd rather they get good care than not.  We're happy to have found a doctor we trust. Read Less
