All the nurses are very nice the secretary the doctor is very , very nice they all nice, they treat your pet very loved I had a long hair chihuahua and she was very sick they did everything they could to save her life they treated her with the love that she needed they was there in to the end,when I had to take her to the emergency they even call to see how she was doing when I had to put her to sleep and went to give them the news they were crying like it was there own. I brought my pitbull, Yoda, there to be neutered through the SNIP program. His original owners were soon to be homeless, so we took Yoda in as he is a wonderful dog. My primary vet prescribed him trazedone, which is a sedative, as Yoda has severe separation anxiety. He is destructive and sometimes even to himself. We are also working with a trainer to fix his issues so the meds are only temporary. Dr. Comartin was extremely judgmental and made rude comments about the dog bein...g on trazedone. She insinuated we wanted our dog to be sedated, instead of expressing concern for his health. We spoke on the phone the following day to discuss blood results and I asked her a few questions about his new wound and private areas. She was argumentative instead of helpful and it seemed as if she cared more about getting more money out of us rather than helping the dog. I told her the dog was lethargic coming home after the surgery and she responded "that I must like that", which felt like another dig at us concerning the trazedone. I would personally never come back to this vet's office. The only professional person I encountered was Patricia, the office manager. She was extremely kind and personable, and called to make amends after my confrontation with Dr. Comartin. It's extremely frustrating when a person, especially a vet, insinuates you are purposely trying to hurt your dog for your own convenience when we feel like we are doing everything to help him. We have spent a lot of money to get him healthy and we love Yoda very much. When you consider the alternative that most dogs face when their family runs into hard times, we feel Yoda is one of the lucky ones. Our dog Cooper had developed allergies and was losing his hair and was miserable. We brought him here because of a recommendation from my daughter and let me tell you, these are the most professional caring compassionate people I have ever met. Dr. Mendy and Dr. Comartin are the most exceptionally skilled vets in the business. They are knowledgeable, gentle, but most of all compassionate. Not up front about their prices and give the wrong information. I do not recommend them. The girl at the front desk named "Amrita", had no manners and was very cut and dry. They are only about money here and do not make you feel like going back. They also butchered my cat's fur. Again, I do not recommend them. We adopted our Doxie from Cooper City Animal Clinic over a year ago and have continued to take him there for his medical care. Our Doxie is like our child; we adore him and spoil him. Patricia, Raquel and Dr. Comartin, have been very caring, friendly, professional and accommodating. Besides their Veterinarian services they work in finding good homes for rescued animals. it was my first time at Cooper City Animal Hospital, I was there for my puppy's neuter appointment so I was very nervous. They were great, made me feel welcomed from the moment I walked in until the moment I left, even during all my phone calls lol. FINALLY an intelligent vet who doesn't run their clinic like a used car salesmen! I've had too many experience where the veterinarian talks to me like their trying to sell me an upgrade on a stereo, when I find myself scared in the corner on what to do about the health of our furry family member! I was pleasantly surprised after bouncing around vets offices over the last 10 years. The staff and the doctor were very pleasant and accommodating. The office itself was immaculate and well kept to the point that my dog was even relaxed.....a first for any vet office. Not only was the visit nice but the prices were well below what I have been paying over the years. The final straw was when I received a call the day after to ensure that my dog was doing well and responding to the antibiotics that had been prescribed.
