I'll start with the good stuff: the receptionists and vet assistants I interacted with at Bravo Animal Clinic were all professional and kind to both me and my dog. While I filled out paper work, a passing vet assistant stopped to say hello, which helped put me AND my pup at ease before his scheduled neutering. I also love that they've partnered with Paws 4 You adoption center, where we rescued our pup, to provide neutering services to all their adopted animals. That partnership assured me that this was a place we could trust with neutering our baby, along with their great reviews. While he was there, I received phone updates both when he was going into surgery and when he was ready to go home. Everyone I spoke to was very kind. My baby came home in once piece and is recovering well.
However, I will sadly NOT be recommending this place to friends, unless they've adopted through Paws 4 You and need neutering. Upon entering the clinic, the place immediately smelled (although upon entering later that day, said smell had mysteriously disappeared). The environment was immediately stressful for my puppy...there are birds kept in cages in the lobby, which make a lot of noise, not to mention it sounded like a whole pack of dogs being kept in the back barking frantically non-stop. It made my puppy even more scared and it was honestly hard for me to leave him there.
I also noticed later that my puppy's nails had been clipped at some point, but there were a few toes clipped way too close...I could tell a few of them had bled because I found the stuff they use to stop that kind of bleeding on a few of the nail tips. I would hope they would exercise more caution in the future.
My biggest complaint, however, is that not once did I get to meet the operating vet. It would have given me much more peace of mind to have spoken with the person operating on and treating my dog. I know we don't visit Bravo as our regular vet, but even for a routine surgery such as neutering, meeting the vet beforehand to go over things and have him meet my puppy would have improved the experience a lot.
Overall, the place is decent and reasonably priced (in my opinion), but the environment could be improved as well as the vet-to-patient interaction. I'm grateful for the work they did to neuter my puppy and for their partnership with Paws 4 You, but I would not recommend Bravo as a regular, ongoing vet experience. Read Less
