Established in 1970 and founded by Dr. James Aycock, who devoted his entire professional career for the caring of many pets until he retired in 2010. Aycock Veterinary Clinic has earned a reputation for its compassionate, client-centered service, which has been added to after Dr. Javier Borrero took over the practice in 2007. Today, Aycock Veterinary Clinic offers a wide range of services to the people and their pets.
Our mission is to provide your pet the highest level of medical, dental and surgical care possible. We deliver expert veterinary care with integrity and compassion. You are our neighbors and, in many cases, our friends. We are also pet owners ourselves and deeply value the human/animal bond that is created when a new furry friend enters our lives. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Borrero and his practice. They are caring, attentive, and honest. After taking several dogs to Hollywood Animal Hospital, over many years, my husband and I became fed up with the large 'business first, doctor second' mentality. We set out to find more personal care for our Westie and a good friend recommended Dr. Borerro at Aycock. He'd been taking his dog (his only child) to Dr. B for many years and trusted him whole-heartedly. He credits him for giving his dog nearly 18 years. It's been about 8 years for us and we have never looked back. Our Westie passed at 14 years old, but our now 3 year old Jack Russell mix is a patient here and we're really happy he is.

Sadly we had to put or baby boy(dog) to sleep in another clinic. Somehow, the people at Aycock found out about the news, and sent us a nice card with their condolences, which everyone at the office signed. This was a really heartwarming surprise in our time of grief, and I really appreciate the gesture.

I can't recommend Dr. Borrero and his team enough. I just picked up my 14 year old furkid from major surgery - 4th procedure in his lifetime performed by Dr. Borrero. The attention, care, and heart that this vet and staff put into their fur-patients is everything. I have 2 dogs and a cat & wouldn't trust them to anyone else.

This veterinary office is just wonderful. They treat your pet and owner with a lot of compassion and expertise. The staff and Doctor take their time to explain and help you with any issues, Their charges are very reasonable and the products they prescribe are not that expensive compared to other vets and pet stores. I highly recommend this clinic.

I've been bringing my dogs to Aycock for 20 years. I find Dr. Barrero and staff to be highly competent and extremely caring. Not only do I trust them with my pets' healthcare, but I also trust them to take good care of my dogs when I go out of town. I highly recommend Aycock Vet clinic to anyone looking for a caring vet that you can trust with your furbabies' health and happiness.

Took a dog there with problems and the vet diagnosed it as possibly a bacterial infection of the GI track or something with the hips. The pet got progressively worse and would not eat. I the final ten days I left the do with the vet. He still could not figure out what was wrong. Finally on a Friday I took my pet to a doctor in Emerald Hills and she said she was not an expert in cardiac problems but it appeared to her to be a heart issue.She made an appointment for me that day as the dog was really sick with Animal House in Pembroke Pines as Dr. Rupp there was a animal cardiologist. Dr. Rupp worked me in and said the dog was very sick and the hear had filled with quite a bit of fluid. UI was able to take the dog home and Dr. Rupp told me should an emergency happen go to a 24 hour animal hospital she recommended as they have a cardiologist there.That Saturday morning the do awoke me at about 5 AM in severe pain and could not move. I rushed the dog to the emergency hospital where they took it in. The dog was hospitalized there for a week and they tried everything to revive her but the strain on the heart for the fluid that had build up from so long without being properly diagnosed resulted in me having to have the animal put to sleep.It was sad as the dog had been with me many years and suffered due to poor diagnosis. The total bill for all the vets came to approximately $4,000 not to mention the pain and suffering the poor animal went through. My advice to Aycock if you do not know what you are doing or unsure send the poor pet to an expert.

I want to thank Dr. Borrero, Michelle, Rebecca, Johanna and the whole team at Aycock for taking such good care of my lab. Whether it is a bath, shots or boarding, they are the BEST!!! I trust them implicitly and highly recommend to anyone who loves their pet and wants their pet to be treated like it is their own. They are compassionate and loving. I want to make special mention of Michelle who I feel is a major asset to the office. No matter how busy she is at that front desk, she takes the time to answer every question, is so polite and caring. I believe she is an unbelievable person and employee and deserves special recognition. Thank you Michelle and team for being so special!

I cried when I came to this place my boyfriend was in shock lets just say BEST VET EVER. Michelle was such a sweet women at the front desk. We went to a Doral animal clinic and were told us the bad news we basically had a puppy that was dying of parvo before our eyes but all we saw was a puppy with a potbelly and upset tummy that wanted to play. We brought her to Aycock after my uncle told us about what a great place this is and let's just say 30 mins of being there we learned Mia did not have parvo and was a happy puppy with a belly of whipworm. She will be back three weeks for her booster shot and in her own words she said she doesn't want another vet. HELLO AYCOCK THE MORALES FAMILY FURBABIES ARE COMING YOUR WAY. Dr. B

We've been to this vet''for years. Dr. Aycock retired, Dr. Marlene left and now this new Dr. Borrero runs the place. I've had to wait at least 1/2 an hour each time, 45 minutes the last time.Make sure to check your bill before you pay. All these years we weren't charged for ear cleaning or nail clipping during the annual vaccination visit. This time they slipped in the fees. Never mentioned it or had it posted anywhere.I called for a refund but no one ever called me back.If they plan to give me some credit for the next visit - Keep it.We aren't going back.

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Borrero and his practice. They are caring, attentive, and honest. After taking several dogs to Hollywood Animal Hospital, over many years, my husband and I became fed up with the large 'business first, doctor second' mentality. I can't recommend Dr. Borrero and his team enough. I just picked up my 14 year old furkid from major surgery - 4th procedure in his lifetime performed by Dr. Borrero. The attention, care, and heart that this vet and staff put into their fur-patients is everything. I have 2 dogs and a cat & wouldn't trust them to anyone else.

Not only do I trust them with my pets' healthcare, but I also trust them to take good care of my dogs when I go out of town. I cried when I came to this place my boyfriend was in shock lets just say BEST VET EVER. Michelle was such a sweet women at the front desk. We went to a Doral animal clinic and were told us the bad news we basically had a puppy that was dying of parvo before our eyes but all we saw was a puppy with a potbelly and upset tummy that wanted to play. We brought her to Aycock after my uncle told us about what a great place this is and let's just say 30 mins of being there we learned Mia did not have parvo and was a happy puppy with a belly of whipworm. She will be back three weeks for her booster shot and in her own words she said she doesn't want another vet. HELLO AYCOCK THE MORALES FAMILY FURBABIES ARE COMING YOUR WAY. Dr. B

We've been to this vet''for years. Dr. Aycock retired, Dr. Marlene left and now this new Dr. Borrero runs the place. I've had to wait at least 1/2 an hour each time, 45 minutes the last time.Make sure to check your bill before you pay. All these years we weren't charged for ear cleaning or nail clipping during the annual vaccination visit. This time they slipped in the fees. Never mentioned it or had it posted anywhere.I called for a refund but no one ever called me back.If they plan to give me some credit for the next visit - Keep it.We aren't going back.
